Yeah I think this guy is confusing hemorrhoids with rectal varices. It's the rectal varices that are the result of portal hypertension, which of course are not the equivalent of hemorrhoids. in fact, hemorrhoisd have been studied to occur with the SAME frequency in cirrhotics w portal htn as the general population.
