  • I wanted to share with you guys how i detangle my hair on a wash day. My hair is super thick and dry so it is quite a process when it comes to detangling it especially when I've left it 8/9 days!

Hi! New subbie here! Detangling my hair was an absolute nightmare until I started prepooing with aloe vera juice and oil. I've used both avocado and coconut oil. Just 30 mins before washing with heat has been a game changer for me. It has literally cut my detangling time by more than half. I also shed and lose far less hair than I did before.
BTW I absolutely LOVE your hair. It is so beautiful!

Thank you and I will definitely give the aloe Vera juice a try!

Have you ever tried Arian oil/Moroccan oil or OGX A’s slip? I’m asking out of pure curiosity, because Moroccan oil is the best for making my hair (bleached) feel real and stop breakage, but as it’s so expensive I got OGX recently but it’s not as effective in small amount so I apply a ton more. I didn’t rate coconut oil on my hair, I found it did nothing, I know tons of people find it really helps, but it also gives me acne
*EDIT* I didn’t say, my hair is European, and loose curls which I’ve damaged so much they are straighter than they were, when I had my kids my hair went straighter, don’t know why, but thought I’d better say for context lol. When I was your age, my hair was a looser version of yours. I used to hate brushing and detangling it before washing.

Thanks for the tip about Morrocan Oil & yes as you've rightly mentioned it can be on the pricier end! I mainly use olive oil for detangling or i will mix it wit coconut oil. I have noticed that some coconut oils are very heavy on your hair and that's why i always use the most organic version i can find as its lighter. Avocado oil is also a good one to try.

Conditioner will cause less breakage and more slip(:
