The worm was a good fight. I managed to beat it on normal at I think level 43 before I went to Virga island. It did take awhile though but I just kept chipping away at it with ice magic on everyone. I had MC as wizard, strohl as cleric, hulkenberg as magic knight and Heismay as General to buff defenses and since general has ice magic too.
This was when i learned about Faker cheese. I got my ass whooped the first time. Readjusted and it wasnt even a fight. Though admittedly i dont remember all the details lol
The fight is supposed to be fought later but I managed to beat it around this time by just going nuts with buffs and debuffs. Took like 30 mins but I managed to defeat it. Wish bardon did more during the fight cause it takes like 3 or 4 turns for him to actually help
@ it's even worse cause his buffs not only are rare but they aren't consistent. He will buff defense by three times but his other buffs only go up one. And since it takes so long for him to do a buff, he can't even keep the buffs going on his own. Without the party doing there own buffs, his would fade and while the defense buff is a strong one, it's honestly the least useful for this battle since the thing hits so hard even if you only debuffs it's str or your own Def. If I hadn't had the the second stage commander archetype on heismay, a faker hulkenburg, the igniter that gave a group masukukaja and my magic and agility centric protag with the wizard archetype, I would have lost for sure. Though in retrospect i could have just done this later, since bardon won't interact with the protag for a long time after this anyway. Like without spoilers he just won't continue his bind until the time the party probably would have been able to take on the worm normally anyway. So I guess it's our fault for deciding to bash our heads against this ugly bastard. Also something odd, I never saw it do the dig underground attack or at least I don't remember it doing that in my fight despite being in hard. I think it's because of my high agility plus buff and debuffing hit rate. Because of my protag and heismay already being high agi, the worm never got a full trunk against me after I got rolling so I think I managed to skip it doing anything other then some smacks on strohl and hulk every so often.
I skipped this fight and went to the tower of lament then grinded it till I was level 46, got the MC as a Magic Seeker, Strohl and Hulkenberg as cleric and Heismey as an assassin. Then I fought this fight again, pelting light spells at the lich and when he summons the chimera well there is where the magic seeker comes in, using wind spells on the thing.
I did the lvl 60 worm at lvl 35. Had to put it to easy though. Just bought max stacks of the ice damage item and then had everyone debuff the worm every round after using 3 ice items and my mage using blizza. Very important to get tarunda out first turn and keep it and the agility debuff up every round. I could have killed it a lot faster but I was playing it safe as even on easy at that level you can get two shot
I'm in the next deadline and just got to this fight and got demolished like a quarter into it. Had to stop after that but I think with the right build it shouldn't be too bad. I hope there are more bosses like that.
Probably should've come back to this boss... Oh well

I thought it was going to be like a 'gimmick' fight with Bardon buffing the crap out of you... But then he does like nothing lmao
