Been hunting reloading and collecting rifles 60+ years and after hundreds of rifles I only hunt with Sako rifles because they are the best rifles for the price range they come in😳🙌
Wow im super bummed 😢 i was looking at this camo pattern in the 7 mag but just ordered the green roughtech camo in 7 mag and just noticed it does not come with the break. How are they goimg to charge more for the green one and it not come with a break? All magnum versions should automatically come with a break attached. Hey very nice shooter you have btw!
Great review. Very detailed and methodical. The weight is perfect for me and the way i hunt out west. I found that i don't shoot really lightweight rifles as well in heavier recoiling cartridges.
@@ReviewThisThing i understand why you prefer something smaller. It has to fit you. I'm 10" taller and 100lbs bigger than my wife so most of my rifles and shotguns are too big for her. It just gives her an excuse to buy her own.
That cheek riser issue is real - and it's not even a figure manufacturers give in the stock measurements like LOP often is. There should really be a measurement standard for comb height, say xx inches above or below the center of the barrel. Thanks for the review!
You cannot go wrong with this Sako S20 . My 6.5 PRC shoots very good with factory loads and excellent with 140 gr. and 147 gr. reloads . You won’t go wrong with this rifle. You CAN get the Sako S20 for 1000 to 1200 now !
@@ReviewThisThing thanks for reply I am looking for long range hunting gun 7mm mag and I am struggling to choose between below rifles. Help me choosing which one is accurate and better quality around $1500 USD. 1. Bergara B14 squared Crest 2. Sako S20 Hunter 3. Tikka Veil 4. Browning Xbolt speed Or else ? Thanks
@Canberrahunters so I haven’t shot any of these in 7RM. I only shot a Browning once years ago and it was too long for me. I also don’t have much experience with Tikka (yet - hint hint). As far as the other two. I really like them both. The Sako may be better for LONG range because it has a longer barrel, BUT I guess it kind of depends on your definition of long range. .
After watching your review I Googled "Sako S20 problems" . Looks like some people are having issues with the bolt picking up a round from the magazine. Looks like a mag issue.
One thing which is not tested with finnish guns like all Sakos and old Valmets is ability to handle dirt. Sand, mud and so on. You can throw sand inside and it works. Its one of the their base design features of their guns. Legacy from WWII. Never lets you down. Perfect for real action.
@@ReviewThisThing i'm so happy with mine...its just perfect...especially since i changed the(already very good) sako trigger for a bix and andy... I'm still very gratefull for your reviews and advice...i wish you all the best👍

Man, that does stink. I would agree. Of course, I think every gun should come with a brake :D Thank you!
7mmRM doesn't need a brake, go with a different recoil pad if you are sensitive to recoil.
Needing and liking are not always the same 😁
I have several sako rifles very good quality rifles
It is quite impressive. What’s your favorite?

@gabenelson8508 haha. Yep. But, I mean - who needs an excuse, right 😁😁
Love mine. Super accurate. Some cheapy plastic bits here and there. Also wish there were after-market stocks available for it.
Ah. That would be nice.

Most people mount scopes TO HIGH. It is a lost art anymore.
I agree. We always use the lowest rings possible, and I still have trouble.
We always use the lowest rings possible! Most of the time it’s still too high.

Thank you for the weight information. I've been looking for a heavier rifle.
Absolutely! Thank you for watching.
Great review 👍👍
Thank you! We appreciate you watching!
You get the gun also with shorter 20" barrel.
I’ve seen that now! Wish I had one!
Does it come for lefties? (Not politically)
🤣 It doesn’t look like it.
Sako S20 hunter or Bergara B14 Crest or Tikka Veil or Browning speed or Baretta BRX1 For hunting in 7mm rem mag? Thanks heaps
Can you clarify the question/questions?

It is the VORTEX mount in medium for the 50 mm scope?
Hmmm? What do you mean?

I mean the height of the vortex scop mount. is it, low, medium or high?

They do make a shorter barrel, but I think you may have to special order. You should be able to switch it out, though.
barrels dont need a break in process
This one sure doesn’t!
Which rifle do you like better, the Sako S20 or the CVA Cascade? Thanks.
It depends - what type of hunting?
