Since the news of Robin's death, I have pored over all the videos on YT. You guys made some beautiful music and performed it with so much heart. Robin is a treasure never to be forgotten. Thanks for all the joy you've given fans over the years. I am so glad you have such a wonderful family to support you during this very sad time.
Agreed.. Bodding showed so much affectionate with Woggy. Overall, he loved his brothers. You and Woggy are so loved and remembered from many of us. Your music will go on forever.
Oh how we miss these three together. Pure entertainment. Music and humor. Like Barry has said “No matter who you are, no matter how famous you think you become…and I am not saying I am, at some point it all stops……”. That is certainly true but none of us expected it to “stop” they way it did. In the last few months I have downloaded so many of their songs so I can listen any time or any where. And they are songs from all their decades or performing. They simply had the goods…. Like Robert Stigwood said, “you can’t deny talent.” And Barry had allot of it, and in my opinion was the driving force of the group. But the 3 of them together had it in spades. They were lightning in a bottle. Each brother was a “force multiplier” when working with the other two. And after Maurice got sober, we could really see his amazing talent of catchy song openings and more. And Robin’s haunting voice on For Whom the bell tolls…..wow. They simply wrote allot of timeless music. Good timeless music. I can’t even decide which of their albums I like the best….. The Bee Gees were every single bit as good as the Beatles ever were. In fact, some of their early music sounded so much like them it was mind blowing, they didn’t just imitate them likes lots of others tried to do. They were just as good in my opinion. I am an American and was a huge Beatles fan. I never heard all the early Bee Gees stuff until much, much later. And it is very clear that they could keep up with them easily. Oh, and little brother Andy had allot of talent also. As they say, “it was in the genes.” Thanks for all the GREAT music. And I am still enjoying it today. The music I never get tired of listening to is Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra and the Bee Gees. All three were great music of their time. Each had great variety. And it is always easy and enjoyable to listen to. And by the way, I am an old rime radio fan. have been since the 1990s, and I love “The Goons”. And of course ITMA. British comedy is hilarious and very different from American stuff. These days I enjoy lots of great old British comedy thanks to the Bee Gees talking about some shows I didn’t know about. One thing I have always wondered is if they ever met “Dame Edna.” Gosh she was hysterical…..

I sincerely relate to so many other postings here ~ I, too, am heartbroken and have been overwhelmingly sad since our loss of Robin; such an amazingly talented singer and songwriter. I have been watching so many Bee Gee/Robin Gibb videos and reading hundreds of posts, also - over countless tears. You will be forever loved and missed dearly, Robin. It's been a month and I am still pouring out my heart. This has had such an affect on all of us who love Robin. Many nights I've spent hours watching DVD's, videos, reading tributes & browsing through photos. I made a special playlist of so many songs that feature his epic "ethereal vibrato", I play it over and over. I fall asleep listening to my favorite songs every night. Last night I awoke from a dream hearing Don't Cry Alone~ I'm not alone in my sadness...
Robin had an amazing voice and he is missed everyday along with moe and Andy. The impact in music history that The Bee Gees made will live on forever and generations after generations we as fans will never forget and always remember. When I was 11 years old, my Mom and Dad came into my bedroom crying with the announcement that John Lennon was slain. I didn't quite understand why they were so upset. Now that I am an adult with my own children- I understand their response- which was mine when I heard of Robin's passing.

_Bodding_, Woggy and Baz, you will always be my favorites. It was nonsense for people to have compared your talent to the Beatles in your early days (OK, "All of My Life" was a bit Beatle esque but I still like it), you were far better.....still are. Your songs made me feel.... especially Robin's songs, ie: Really and Sincerely, And the Sun Will Shine, I Can't See Nobody, Black Diamonds to name a few. They made me laugh, cry, hope, sit in silent wonder, they had such depth of emotion. I could never say that for the bubblegum pop or the drug-induced ramblings of the Beatles. There are certain pieces of music that comfort and soothe me, like Barber's 'Adagio For Strings', Liszt's 'Un Sospiro', or Pachelbel's 'Canon In D'. There is also the voice of only one person who could do the same and that's Robin.
Truly, each had and has a Go-given talent. I can't understand why their music was compared initially to the Beatles. The Bee Gees have depth. Nothing bubble gum about them. Each voice, even Mo's (that I longed to hear more of), sent pure pleasure through me

I LOVED this! Thanks for sharing! I love them all....for their amazing differences and diversity. If I'm so heartbroken just as a fan, I can't imagine what the family is going through! My heart is just broken for Barry. He's spent his life so close to his brothers, Maurice's passing was shocking, especially after losing Andy. But losing Robin is a terrible blow for him, they had so many plans... Thank God Barry has Lind, his Mom, kids and close family. My prayers are with him!

Dear Barry, Bee Gees was part of my life growing up in the 60s and 70s in Sri Lanka when radio was country's only entertainment with no TV presence. Thank you and brothers for all the joy you have given me, adding colour to my life! Rest in peace Robin. My friend and I were talking about Robin the night before and how he was doing...then he passed away the next day :( Gone too soon. I danced to the BeeGees music back in 1977 to my first school dance! I have always enjoyed their music and Andy's too this many decades on - that's how great their music is. RIP Robin and my prayers go out to Barry and the whole family.
The only other time I remember becoming emotional about the passing of a music legend was when John Lennon and MJ died- and even then, I was not as upset as I am now (I saw the Jackson's Victory tour in 1984 when I was a sophomore in high school; my Mom- the Beatles in 1965 at Comiskey Park in Chicago)- and now I realize I will never have the chance to see the Bee Gees perform live, which leaves me with great sadness.

I heard a rumour they may consider building a statue for the Bee Gees in Redcliffe. They should do, I don't think Australia ever really appreciated the Bee Gees enough... lucky there's some devoted Aussie fans like us though! So glad I got to see Robin in 2010, amazing. Love you forever Robin x

When I was 11 years old, my Mom and Dad came into my bedroom crying with the announcement that John Lennon was slain. I didn't quite understand why they were so upset. Now that I am an adult with my own children- I understand their response- which was mine when I heard of Robin's passing.

Our hearts are breaking for the loss of Maurice and Robin. The Bee Gees gave us 50 years of wonderful songs, and some geat videos. What other group can say that. _Bodding_, Woggy and Baz, you will always be my favorites. It was nonsense for people to have compared your talent to the Beatles in your early days (OK, "All of My Life" was a bit Beatle esque but I still like it), you were far better.....still are. Your songs made me feel.... especially Robin's songs, ie: Really and Sincerely, And the Sun Will Shine, I Can't See Nobody, Black Diamonds to name a few. They made me laugh, cry, hope, sit in silent wonder, they had such depth of emotion. I could never say that for the bubblegum pop or the drug-induced ramblings of the Beatles. There are certain pieces of music that comfort and soothe me, like Barber's 'Adagio For Strings', Liszt's 'Un Sospiro', or Pachelbel's 'Canon In D'. There is also the voice of only one person who could do the same and that's Robin.

I LOVED this! Thanks for sharing! I love them all....for their amazing differences and diversity. If I'm so heartbroken just as a fan, I can't imagine what the family is going through! My heart is just broken for Barry. He's spent his life so close to his brothers, Maurice's passing was shocking, especially after losing Andy. But losing Robin is a terrible blow for him, they had so many plans... Thank God Barry has Lind, his Mom, kids and close family. My prayers are with him!

It could only be the Bee Gees who could capture the magic and love that they have shared with us all in another song. Barry said it best in his tribute to Robin "There's a heart like mine". Tomorrow is the official public opening of Bee Gees Way on Redcliffe Parade. I know that all the brothers will be there and in my heart they will all be with me. Gone but never forgotten, remember being in my friends grandmothers house in Harrow it was 1967 i was 10. Top of the Pops came on and i heard this song that would stay with me all my life, and become along with other songs of yours the music of my life.

My friend and I were talking about Robin the night before and how he was doing...then he passed away the next day :( Gone too soon. I danced to the BeeGees music back in 1977 to my first school dance! I have always enjoyed their music and Andy's too this many decades on - that's how great their music is. RIP Robin and my prayers go out to Barry and the whole family.

The only other time I remember becoming emotional about the passing of a music legend was when John Lennon and MJ died- and even then, I was not as upset as I am now (I saw the Jackson's Victory tour in 1984 when I was a sophomore in high school; my Mom- the Beatles in 1965 at Comiskey Park in Chicago)- and now I realize I will never have the chance to see the Bee Gees perform live, which leaves me with great sadness.

I heard a rumour they may consider building a statue for the Bee Gees in Redcliffe. They should do, I don't think Australia ever really appreciated the Bee Gees enough... lucky there's some devoted Aussie fans like us though! So glad I got to see Robin in 2010, amazing. Love you forever Robin x
