One of the biggest mistakes i always see in these is over complications. You kept it nice and simple. Vivid/crisp effects, Nice clean font for the credits. Visually stunning :D
Agreed. The visuals at the end when it shows the Dr. Who logo remind me a lot of the early intros with the 1st-3rd doctors.

The logo “slushing” into Hartnell-era void stuff is beautiful. Genuinely, really impressive work.

This was a really creative blend of new ideas and old title callbacks. Using Ncuti's profile as the Doctor's face in the credits tradition is so clever.

It works visually and conceptually but not contractually-"with" implies a special casting, whereas Ncuti's contract is for the leading cast member, so his name must go first.
*Love* the concept, though.
@@RRB99 yeah I know so I was a little hesitant about it but I really wanted to building the mystique of the Doctor with the reveal of the silhouette being what the goop has been building to so it only worked later.
Artistic vision over contractual legalities right? 🤷🏻♂️

I love this so much. It has an understated confidence about it- when I watch it I think “well, of course this show is going to be good,” because the sequence feels effortlessly modern and also completely true to what’s come before
This is so much better than what we got. How come a fanmade sequence looks more official than the official one??
genuinely blown away by this, everything works so well, it feels new without disassociating from who, a mistake I see a lot of fan renders make, the simple font really pops against the exotic backgrounds, really cool stuff
Absolutely love this! Love the use of the trippy, liquid-like visuals & how the logo dissolves into the actual liquid-like stuff at the end. It looks very Troughton.
More like Hartnell's title sequence actually. Also pertwee's first title sequence had the Howlround effect before going to the slit-scan effect popularized by Tom Baker's first opening 🤓

I've already said how INCREDIBLE your title sequence is, but I've also got to mention how much I LOVE your theme tune! Absolutely fantastic! Your talents seem limitless!
The arrangement itself is nice and traditional, nothing radical, yet SO rich with understated subtle details and harmonies, great instrument choices, effects, and gorgeous pads. Just so many interesting and rich choices which give it a fresh, vibrant, and very cool sound.
I also really love that you used the 7th Doctor's modulated pitch, making it sound fresh, with an echo of the familiar. The whole thing brings to mind McCoy's era, which I grew up watching.
All topped off with a truly gorgeous clean mix which seems just as professional as the visuals. I just love how restrained your mix is with an emphasis on clarity - unlike some of the muddy, distorted messes I've heard elsewhere.
Speaking of which, I've just watched the "Golden Strands" intro (released by Jacob). Visually, that sequence is sublime, with some really nice elements, especially the presentation of the TARDIS. Though unlike yours, the sequence feels monotonous and lacks a strong visual identity and sense of distinction.
Respectfully, I wish the BBC would combine BOTH these two sequences into one.
*How I would edit the two together:*
• First of all, it's all 100% your music and your duration, which is perfect.
• First 2 seconds = opening sting, as it is
• The next 3 of your shots ("BBC" + first 2 credits) shortened to 2 seconds each, so we're still only 8 seconds in.
• The next 5 seconds, is your Ncuti credit and silhouette (while the main melody plays) ending with the ripples/TARDIS flying to toward camera.
• Then the TARDIS flying away from the camera (first 3 seconds of the Golden Strands sequence)
• Then 7 seconds of the TARDIS flying through the Golden Strands (a shortened version of 0:28-0:53)
• Ending with the final 4 seconds of your sequence (Doctor Who logo and ripples)
and the sounds at 0:09?

That got me pay great attention. I CAN see this being used. Very modern and keeping the Doctor in shadow works well.

this is really the simplest yet the most incredible fan made intro i have ever seen. official ncuti gatwa intro feels like low budget fan made intro. this should have been the official intro. i loved it!!!

This is SO cool. Original and modern whilst keeping the howl around effect. I have no idea how you achieved this, bravo!
I mean the 12th and 13ths doctor intros were made by a fan so its not impossible for the BBC to pick this up.
I love how mysterious and vibey it is, with the Doctor's potrait added its brilliant!
This would be so interesting in the event Ncuti doesn’t have a “look” which by the way I’d be totally down for. It kinda adds that normal show titles vibe to doctor who while keeping the uniqueness of the show!
Loving the orange colors in this sequence, this concept was very well put together. I especially liked the opening section, looked as if fluid-like cells colliding and splitting apart. Also noticed the silhouette of Gatwa, which really works well here coupled with the classic tone this invokes. Theme also fits well with this, consider me impressed. Great Work!

The way the translucent tardis transitions the colourful backdrop into a more classic era vibe with the new version of the 3rd/4th doctors logo RTD2 is using, I just love it, fantastic work ❤❤
It's just so fluid and visually interesting while avoiding common mistakes even the actual show have made in overcomplicating it. You kept it simple and understandable without sacrificing quality and concept. A fine mix not too common with official or fan made intros. Can't state enough how well balanced this is
The balance of unique ideas with nods to the classic series here is absolutely stunning! So original, so fun, so professional!
I really liked this one. At first it felt almost like looking at a lava lamp. I love the silhouette of Ncuti and how the TARDIS coming in distorts the image to look like that of the Third Doctor's first opening before transitioning into the logo scene which also visually calls back to the old openings.
Did I just watch a 2023 version of the 1970 title sequence?!!!! This is bloody fantastic!!! Paging RTD!!!!

This is outsanding. The silhouette for Gatwa is such a clever twist on the old "doctor's face is superimposed on the titles" thing.

Fantastic stuff. This sequence really brings out the iconography of the 70s themes all while staying fresh and contemporary. Its hard to pull off but you done it seamlessly.
So good! I was quite underwhelmed with the new intro in the specials. Especially the theme. I wear headphones and when the theme is playing there's just this woman breathing in my ears. This intro is great because it references old Who and is new and original at the same time. Love the silhouette!
Those are definitely shakers in the new intro, I don't know how it got construed as breathing by so many people

The fact I like about this it reminds me of classic who, the intro is very simple there’s no complicated vortex or whatever it’s just very clean and simple and I love it

Only unlikely thing about this title sequence is Ncuti getting the "with" that's typically for bigger names with smaller roles who want significance in their credit. It's a contactal thing, it's not really maleable and and agents will fight over it and no agent would allow Ncuti to not have the leading card first, tbh it wouldn't even be considered by the production. Otherwise I love it.

Honestly I love this, it would be nice for Nucti’s name to be first as per usual but this era is definitely gonna try new things and I love the howlaround aspect and the TARDIS
From what we've seen from the Christmas episode, this has the 15th personality all over it, a perfect mix of new and classic as well as not over complicated and over sensory like the current one used! All in all I really love this
