Thank you for great content! I have a ground-related question (one amp): Should the mains earth be connected to the (aluminium) frame of the pedalboard? My board sometimes makes cracling sounds and I have tracked it down to my Cioks PSU's chassis that makes occasional contact with my pedalboard frame. Power comes in via IEC socket installed on the pedalboard frame.
Hmm interesting, I have a ground loop noise issue on my pedalboard (metal chassis Rockboard), if any of the metal patch cord grounds make contact with the pedal board, I get the ground loop hum. The power board is supplied by a voodoo lab pedal power 3 Plus which is mounted to the underside of the pedal board with metal brackets. Only going into 1 amp. Do you have any idea why this would be creating a ground loop? Thanks for your time Ollie
Great video! I have a question: I run a stereo setup and the first part of my pedalboard is mono (drives, boosters, comp) and after that I'm splitting the signal from a modulation pedal and run it stereo from there through the delay and reverb then the amps. Could I place it right in between, where my signal gets now splitted? After the comp but before the modulations. Thanks!
HI! Would it make sense to use this as a splitter after my dry effects --> one going into a dry amp (Isolated output) and the other into wet effects which finally goes into front of house?
