@@samtran184 Did you change the water out regularly & did you cut up & put whatever it is he is putting in? Garlic or onion it appears as an antibacterial. Hydrogen peroxide in the water would stop the rot as well.

Ummm, these roots are on the tops of those strawberries. Don't know if this is real or not, but the roots are being shown to grow from the TOPS of the strawberries, where the leaves were removed from. The part that is showing new leaves, that's the bottom of the berry.
My favorite part about this channel is their name is "Our Garden 4.9M subscribers". I thought they had 4.9M subscribers but they just put it in their name. LOL. They got me because I was wondering how they had so many subscribers. Good little trick!!!!
There’s a reason why this video is drawing flys because I think there’s a BULL near by. Strawberries only hold about a week after picking, no rotten onions or rotten holes from tooth picks after 35 days?, Strawberry roots don’t grow like that from crown look to be stuffed up inside of berries and leaves don’t go like that either look poked into toothpick holes. Even regrows broken toothpicks.
strawberries grown in water taste like water. Strawberries grown in live active soil taste like the Universe grew you a burst of fruit flavor with the patience and love of a grandmother when you visit for the holidays.
I used a potato peeler on a strawberry and dried it out on kitchen roll. Scraped off the seeds and planted them. They are growing well. I really don’t believe this method would work. Sorry
If you like strawberries and want to propagate plants there are much easier ways to do it but if this works, it's pretty cool thinking outside the box. Cool that you could do it from a fruit rather than the mother plant.
The strawberries did rot. The seeds inside the strawberry took hold and grew into new shoots. The strawberry may look fine on the outside but, it’s another story entirely, on the inside.
This will only be possible if you use the cuttings from the strawberry not the actual fruit. Strawberries also produce runners which grow really really easily. Take a runner they run parallel with the ground.
As soon as the strawberry was skewered by toothpicks, it began decaying. The strawberries contain seeds inside that use the rotting strawberry itself as the ground for growing roots. Seeds don’t actually even need ground to begin sprouting roots. Remember the school project in kindergarten where you put a Bean between to wet napkins in a plastic bag and put it on the windowsill. It’s the same idea but, on a more developed scale. The reason the roots grew to that extent has to do with the amount of nitrogen that exists in a decaying onion bulb. Nitrogen in onion bulbs account for 65% of nitrogen in aboveground biomass.
Have you ever seen strawberry plant roots? I didn't think so. THOSE are not strawberry roots. Those are most likely from an allium, probably the onion/garlic bulb they used for their prank video.
Thirdly, those are NOT a strawberry plant's first leaves or true leaves and they certainly would not be throwing out a new berry after just emerging. Sheesha meesha. You really don't know what you're talking about but you sound like you like to think you do.
@@manjawarner3162 Actually, yes, I have, and no, those do not look like strawberry roots grown in a garden. However, that is grown hydroponically so, I had to look up what early strawberry roots look like under such a condition. It does have the correct appearance. I’m not saying this isn’t a fake, only that, if it is, it’s very well done.
The onion is preserving it and providing nutrients at the same time. I'll definitely try this one. And I'll report back after that 35 days. But 1st I need to buy some strawberries ❤

They probably didn't have sterile hands and tools either 😂
@@newsviewstoday5689 hydrogen peroxide causes rapid oxidation, not likely root friendly. lol derp
Yeah what was that garlic or onion?
Gotta give her credit for stuffing roots into the strawberries 😂
In all honesty, I'm more impressed by how seemless the plants coming out of the tips of the strawberries look. Almost makes it look believable.

So basically use the strawberry instead of soil by putting strawberry seedlings into the strawberry itself
