The Age of Magical Overthinking - Notes on Modern Irrationality
Hosted by Solid State Books, a full service Black owned bookstore here in DC. Amanda is known for her though-provoking yet relatable writing style. In her new book The Age of Magical Overthinking, Montell explores the advantages and disadvantages of magical overthinking combining cultural criticism and her personal narrative to explore cognitive bias. Magical thinking is the idea that our internal thoughts can affect unrelated events in the external world. At this Q&A discussion, Amanda was joined onstage by Washington Post writer Alexandra Petri!
