    I tried to fight acne for years, I tried many many products, suitable for combination and problematic skin, ranging in price from cheap - to mid range priced - to very expensive... and nothing worked. The more I tried to dry the acne, the more my skin resisted! I exfoliated, used products specially for acne and yet I kept having more and more breakouts. At some point I started thinking that nothing will ever work.. Then at some point I read somewhere info that the more you try to dry your skin - the more breakouts you will have, as skin is trying to replenish not just the moisture but the oil.. So, there and then I decided that I have nothing to lose, as it's already in a pretty bad condition, and instead of drying my skin out, I will start moisturizing it! As I was on holidays at the time I went to the local superstore and needed to buy a new cleanser and as the choice was small I bought Nivea Daily Essential Gentle Cleansing Cream for Sensitive/Dry Skin (pink bottle) even though my skin was combination/oily and started using it daily. By the end of my holidays my skin stopped having new breakouts and was becoming clearer. Years ago I did use Nivea for combination skin and it just didn't work, so I was surprised that this Nivea for dry/sensitive skin was working!
    I continued using it and after a while, first time in many years, my skin became completely clear. And it stayed clear, until I ran out of the product! Then I thought I was saved from the acne forever and went back to products that I used previously.. Once I'd changed - acne came back. So, I changed back to simple Nivea - and skin went clear again. I don't know how to explain it, but simple Nivea sensitive for cleansing and Sukin Moisture Restoring Night Cream cleared my skin, like no other product could. And if very rarely I do get a pimple, then nothing works better then dabbing it with green clay+aloe gel mixture (making it of thick consistency, like for a facial mask ) and not removing it in a while, but let it staying on (directly on the pimple) till morning. It dries the pimple so well, that in 1-2 days it's completely gone, and takes 2-4 days if the pimple was painful and deep in the skin. So, from this experience I came to the conclusion, that my skin could be very sensitive to all types of chemicals and needed the have the routine of gentle products and also using not many products as well. I rarely write comments, but it this case I just had to share what worked for me (after years of struggle) and hope that my comment might help someone to get a great clear skin as well.

    Hi Andrea, what a beautiful skin! I also love the Biologique P50 lotion.
    My go-to serum is the 5% niacinamide and licorice 'Red Off' from Yasumi. Best day and night moisturizer is the gentle La Roche Posey Tolerian Ultra Night also packed with niacinamide. But the real game changer are prescription retinoids. It takes ages (even couple of years) to see results but it's worth it. Years off your skin.

    I actually used oils to get my problem skin under control.
    Tea tree oil on blemishes applied with cotton bud first, then a few drops of jojoba oil all over the face. When I don't need to use tea tree oil, a drop of lavender oil in a few drops of jojoba oil. These oils absorb really well and do not leave an oily residue or lead to breakouts. Lavender oil can also be applied like tea tree oil on blemishes.
    Rosehip oil is also wonderful for ageing skin, so that's recently been added to my routine!
    Beware; not all oils are created equal. The poor quality oils can be rancid and harmful to your skin.
    Brands I use and love: Jojoba Company, Odacite, Pai rosehip, doTerra, MV organics

    Your videos are soooo educative!!! I do believe that all these products are working for you but for someone who cannot always afford these products, I really suggest aloe vera gel 100 % natural mixed with tea tree oil also 100% natural. Just fill an empty moinsturiser jar with aloe vera gel and add 5-6 drops of tea tree oil. Mix it together until it looks like a jelly cream and you can apply it all over your face and neck everyday, avoid the eyes!!!. Your skin will feel a bit tingly, but after a few minutes it will feel so light and clean. IT ABSOLUTELY MAKES MIRACLES!!!! My skin originally has lots of freckles and sun marks but this has absolutely changed my life. Works also amazing with pimples, acne, oily skin, rushes, sun exposed skin...just everything. And the best part: is 100% organic and affordable to any one.

    I live in Bali, and it's VERY humid and hot all year long. I was skeptical about Tatcha the Water Cream along with One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil, but I trust your opinion. I purchased it and arrived today. let's see how it goes.
    Still waiting on Fresh Soy Face Cleanser and Biologique Recherche P50 to arrive.

    You have me some awesome tips on how to apply the products
    I too have sever acne, however I'm a college student and cant afford much, but the one product I LOVE LOVE LOVE (maybe i should say company) is Olay, and i use it day and night, its helped transform my skin. And there face wipes are great too. I try to use alcohol free products because I've notice that it does cause my skin to break out. Because of your channel I've chosen to explore sephoras skin care section, and philosophies renewed hope in a jar is AMAZING.. I finally understand what light weight cream means LOL . Thank you Andreea for being a huge inspiration and a role model. Your genuine, kind and funny. It was a real treat to stumble upon you on UA-cam.

    La Roche-Posay has this amazing eye cream, Toleriane Ultra Contour Yeux, it is one of my need to have eye creams because it is developed the way that you can put it on your eye lids as well. Great after a heavy glitter eye make up.

    Buna Andreea. Ti-am descoperit de curand canalul de youtube si sfaturile date. Consider ca esti foarte atenta la detalii si asta ma face pe mine sa te urmaresc. Esti frumoasa, ai evoluat atat de mult in ultimele luni si te admir. In ceea ce priveste rutina de demachiere si hidratare ten eu folosesc ulei de trandafir pt demachiere si apoi demachiant phenalex cu antioxivita. Pt hidratare serul buffet si uleiul de macese de la The ordinary ( brandul asta mi-a schimbat dramatic tenul). Te rog sa faci un review produselor sau sa ne spui experienta ta. Multumesc. Spor la shopping in L.A. si petrecere frumoasa😍😍😍😍

    Hi Sweet Girl, I am so grateful to you for actually talking about Biologique Recherche products! After your videos I did my own research and purchased multiple products. I struggled with my skin for quite some time, and the way you talked about it Andrea, I realized I need it in my life! What can I say?...I'm hooked!After only ONE use I see a difference in my skin! The smell is so strong, it's like a repellent for my husband. But I'm beyond happy with the results! Over the years I splurged so much money on high end skin care but nothing is close to Biologique Recherche! Anyone with acne prone skin and active acne( I have hormonal acne on my jaw line), congested pores, uneven texture etc., please, give it a try! You won't regret it, I swear! I would recommend P50 toner, Masque Vivant, Creme Dermopurifiante, and Serum Iribiol for T-zone especially.That's it! It is not cheap but WORTH every penny! Thank you Andrea Ali once again for your word of advice. Love your videos! Much love from US XOXO

    • @AliAndreea
      @AliAndreea  6 років тому +2

      So glad you like the P50! Okay so here's how I see things. Some products that work for you might not work for everything. When I discover something that I am almost sure it would work for 80% of the people at least, I promote it as I think I discover something that's worth sharing. Tatcha is great for their mist and oil. I think these two products are worth investing in. But then the mist is just for dry, normal and combination skin, the Water Cream wouldn't do wonders if your skin is too dry. You understand what I am trying to say? I think it is worth the hype if you get the right product for your skin's needs.

      Ali Andreea Thank you so much for you answer. Sure, you explained it very well :) Mine is oily, big pores and jawline breakouts but I started to notice the lines under the eyes and forehead with 27/28 😓 I think I didn’t hydrated the skin enough running away from anything moisturizing or oily 🤨 So my skin needs a cream that control the oil/pores/breakouts and fine lines. Do you think TATCHAS would be the one? Or am I asking for a miracle? I also use Dermopurificant from BR but only at night as doesn’t look nice under make up 😕 We laugh a lot too before going to bed because of BR smells 😂 Sorry for the long text!! 💋

    I am loving your vids and skin, thanks for all your hard work you put in in it! I am sad because of my skin situation, loads of under skin small zits, and stuff like dilated pores and blackened pores, in spite of a very careful routine with non-comedogenic products. I am seriously thinking about some laser interventions, because I just have not found any blemish treatment to work, my face is also little bit oily on T zone and tried quite a few big brand ranges. Just ordered the Biologique Recherche waiting for it to appear and see whether in a month or so I see any improvement, that is my last thing. Thinking of laser treatments/ dermatologist regimens do you know any clinic in Bucharest that you heard of/ recommend ?

    I live in Miami. Hot and humid. I use La Mer the serum. The cream is way to rich for me. I have mature oily skin. I know! It makes no sense. But I always had oily skin and use to hate it. Now.?? Well I love it 😃

    Thank you for your great video as always... just a question regarding your eye cream... do you just dab it on the bottom and side and under the eyebrows? I noticed in the video you didn't apply it to the top lid ... is there a reason or just your preference or got cut in edits ? Thanks again.

    Hello! I’ve had love/hate relationship with P50. Was too harsh for my oily(!) skin. Switched to P50W. Less harsh, but irritating nonetheless. Then I tried a basic lotion from Rituals, a Calming Toner, I believe. Did a nice job softening the skin after cleanser. But the real magic happened with Korean brands: Neogen Fermented Tea cleanser and Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner! I could get away with washing my face once a day. These days I can apply whatever the skin requires, without ramifications. Be it Pixi Glow, or Lixirskin, or Sisley, etc. The base is there, and even an occasional hormonal pimple doesn’t stick around longer than 24h. Still looking for an excellent oil cleanser, go to favorite is from Jordan Samuel. Might give Eve Lom a chance. DEFINITELY interested in Tatcha products, what is recommended for mature, oily, sensitive skin? Thanks!

    For sensitive skin I use Aveeno® Skin Relief Intense Moisture Repair Cream - 11oz large jar. I mix into my regular face routine and it works for any type of skin irritation - use anywhere! I have a friend who had severe psoriasis / eczema and I gave her some to try and she said it worked better than any prescription creme - she can show her legs now! CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT :)
    If you can't get it there - let me know and I can send you a jar ;)

    Hi Andreea I also love Eve Lom balm cleanser but see so much negative comments about the ingredients. How do you feel about it? ❤️

    • @AliAndreea
      @AliAndreea  6 років тому

      When I did this video I was thinking about doing it with Evem Lom just because it was my "forst love" and I still use it at times when I wanna feel like I'm in a SPA. However I did see a lot of negative comments about it so I decided to just mention it. I wouldn't like to promote a product that has such bad comments, but truly...it works. It really does work so for me it is all that matters. A product that does what it says it does without harming my skin, but on the contrary.

      Ali Andreea I do love it too. Apparently the new morning cleanser has no mineral oil in so I may try that. I also have just done online consultation for BR, I’m already a fan of P50 so going to give more a go. And I love La Mer, that smell! ❤️
