POUND LIKE for Junna's incredible endurance and dexterity behind the kit! *also, i'm sorry again for the video quality. I am trying to use a real camera, but that means adjusting all the settings, and i forgot to open up my aperture before filming this for a half hour, so ...it'll get better i promise!*
One viewer in one of her videos commented one time that all she knows how to do is smash the drums hard. He was so wrong! She hits hard, but still executes the proper dynamics when needed. Always spot on, with lots of very cool fills, and is literally the MOST ENTERTAINING Drummer on the planet, with all her cool expressions and crazy movements, while executing flawlessly. Her feet are so fast it always sounds like a machine gun going off! Thanks Wave for the Reaction!
Hmmm. Her almost grimmacing facial contortions annoy, detracting from my ability to appreciate her talent. I get the jarring impression of someone flailing at random. I guess she can drum. But I like Kanade, Senri, and especially Yoyoka.
Junna is a wild pocket rocket. Great to see a great expressionist. It's her style and considering she's playing some very quick fills,it really requires immense skill and coordination. She's 1 of the worlds great female drummer. Music is about entertainment and Junna provides that in a big way. Never knock it. This is rare talent.
It would interesting to socially interact with her. Her drumming is very extroverted however I get the impression that she might be more of a traditional Japanese woman. Just guessing.
If you are going to act wacky you better have impeccable chops to back up that behavior. She has more chops than a Chuck Norris film fest! I really enjoy your reactions old timer! Keep up the good work!
Anyone who hates an "animated" drummer as solid as Juuna needs to get their ego and head thoroughly examined. Ever notice how she was the BEST member in her old band? I'm glad she's not with them anymore.
@@randygentry2442 She's more than happy being a freelance gun for hire. She's more interested in doing her cosplay and drumming with as many people as she can as opposed to being in just one band. At least that's what she said last year about the subject.
This could be her audition for Marty Friedman. His long time drummer Charrrrgggeeee (charg-E) plays like Animal, but rocks, is “easy to play with” (steady, signals). & puts on a show for an audience, something that takes an accomplished musician to the next level, it’s entertainment they’re selling, musicianship can’t take all of your focus when they’re paying to see you And Trident is still great, check their new stuff. Unless what you’re missing is the “animation” shock value afterall?
Wave Potter - I recommend you to react to Junna Ruma Riinu Kun (ua-cam.com/video/8Cy5qrYx8uc/v-deo.html). It is very special. She hits the drums and cymbals in seemingly random patterns. Never seen anything like it.
As a musician (& japanophile), you must know Marty Friedman. His latest album of covers includes this song. The video includes a itty bitty hint to the meaning of the song, an appearance by Jason Becker (his 80s bandmates, arguably greatest guitarist ever), and special guest appearances (video only) of RoiLoiRo (say Roy Roy Row), a band that is catching the attention of big stars (BabyMetal guitarist Ohmura, Gacharic Spin, Marty and more, tv shows, etc.). The attraction? They are ages 7,7,&8, and they rock, like an early Asterism, like putting out XJapan covers, and already having multiple originals on UA-cam. Start with the familiar, Makenaide by Marty Friedman, but move on the the kids, not virtuosos yet, but closer to that than to a gimmick! ua-cam.com/video/WKrGc-RZDDI/v-deo.html
Cool reaction Sir but have to say I'm not a fan of Junna, appreciate her skill behind the kit but find myself watching her instead of listening, kind of reminds me of a guitar player I worked with for a short while, he would be running all over the stage while shredding like a lunatic, very skilled but very distracting
The whole reason for going to concert is to see a show. And moving around on stage and interacting with the crowd and band members is part of that. There are exceptions to that of course depending on how big the stage is. My point is I'm paying money to see a show and I want to be entertained not just watch x number of members stand there and just play the music and not do anything else that's boring I could just save myself money and listen to them at home instead.
@@Statykx If that's what you like and enjoy Sir then good for you. Myself as a drummer I like to promote the band I'm playing with at the time, not myself. I feel it is my job to help make the band sound as good as possible. That means playing the drum parts as well as possible and not distracting the bass player, like people like Neil Peart and Ian Paice, they sit behind the kit, play their stuff and always enhance the sound of the band, but hey, that's just me, we're all different. I hope you continue to enjoy your concerts
I love this thread because there are no right and wrongs when it comes to music taste! I appreciate a skilled musician who’s a team player and doesn’t detract from other members, but I also love great stage presence. (It’s hard to find both because most people can’t play well while also showing off [me]) Anyway thank you all for sharing your personal taste! Honest discourse is always better than an echo chamber.

My pleasure. And very well said!
If the drummer for dragonforce gives his approval, I'll take his opinion over a random viewer
@@703elee Absaposilutely man. But I bet she's cracked a few cymbals in her time. Love her a bit more every time I see her play.
She's not only an incredible drummer, she's so enjoyable to watch, and full show by herself!
Thank you for reacting to this video! She is unbelievable talented and love her facial expressions, true performer!

Song title means, "Don't lose" or "Don't surrender." "Don't give up" might also be a good translation.
I love watching her play she’s awesome.
She is amazing
Her expressions are so over the top. Maybe a cultural thing but anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DUDE!

This was a great breakdown. 😊
Thank you Chris!
I didn’t think 🤔 I was a fan of her but I think 💭 I might be 😎😂thanks 👍🏻🥂
That’s awesome! I’m glad to know that!
Makenaide = mah-kay-nigh-day (as sung in the chorus)
Thank you for this! I completely missed that in the song while being focused on the drums but now I hear it.

She was born about 1996, 26 now.
Loved your Neal Peart “digression”. J-pop isn’t really my cup of tea, but her drumming style is almost metal, which is cool. 😎
The digression was great. Love those attempts to give a little window into brain processes, and this particular brain jives with mine.
Well said! And thank you! I’m glad it wasn’t too distracting 😅
My dude. Good on you for this, Zard songs would not be what most US folks would grab onto for a reaction vid.
1. Drummers are getting too fast, they really need to record in 60fps, and
2. Still waiting on that through the fires and flames cover 🤣
She’s animated......maybe too much ...a lot of band members hate that....but she’s impresssive
