Scraping Back part of an Encaustic Painting- How to Fix Mistakes and Add More Depth to your Painting

- I created this encaustic painting of Wilmington, NC back when I was first learning how to do shellac burns. It's been years- at least 7, since I made this piece. I love that you can go back even years later and keep working on encaustic pieces, whether you need to fix mistakes or add more depth. You can even scrape down all the way to the wood.
The before and after is so satisfying!

The close up of the multiple shellac layer burns , is absolutely STUNNING !!!! I could spend hours just looking into its depths . I love your encaustic demos - you are so inspiring and all your effort is really appreciated . Thank you so much ! Kind regards - Judi - Australia 😍🤗🌻
