  • I created this encaustic painting of Wilmington, NC back when I was first learning how to do shellac burns. It's been years- at least 7, since I made this piece. I love that you can go back even years later and keep working on encaustic pieces, whether you need to fix mistakes or add more depth. You can even scrape down all the way to the wood.
