Nice work! I've been lucky, the last two places we've lived the air handlers have been in the basement but I did have one bad enough to hit the float switch once. That'll get your attention real quick in the summer. I replaced a section of white pipe with transparent similar to what you have there so I can eyeball it once and a while to see if it needs a poke or two.

good job.. 2 houses ago, I had the same setup in the attic, I would go into the attic about mid-June and flush out the trap on the unit, used a bit of bleach and a wire brush.. helps kill the bacteria causing the trap to clog. before labor day (near the end of air conditioning season), I would do it again, so it would be ready to go for next year. its a PITA, but a lot easier than ripping out the ceiling drywall and rehanging, refinishing and repainting it 👍😏 BTW, found your channel during the generator install.. that kind of ended abruptly, never saw it completed (free UA-cam content idea 😉). Having fun with the NABU now 👍

Awesome, thanks! I keep thinking about a generator update, but there's so little to say that I'm not sure it's worth it. Maybe this is the motivation to get around to it, though. I need to find a time when the weather is right and cutting the power to the house to show how it starts up won't inconvenience anyone.
