This thing is unironically so strong. For some reason though, the AI plays like a moron. I think you might *need* a reckless officer for this to be pilotable by the AI vs certain ranged matchups. I ran sims vs an eagle, and it just played at max reaper range and phased in and out over and over, never approaching and just slowly dying. I then took the missiles off, and it got a bit better, but it still backs up and phases way too much. Meanwhile, I try myself, strap 5 assault chainguns to the front, hold W and left-click and any other cruiser in the sim dies. I can't comprehend why the AI handles this brick more passively than a shade or an Afflictor.
AI piloted ships exist only to support your flagship and act as fodder for enemies. You cannot make AI piloted ships useful. I play with the starship legends mod and it shows reports after each battle. In every fight with an equal or stronger force I consistently get 700-1100% of relative damage dealt to enemies, while a 5th of my fleet consistently get 0-30%. I once had a ship with a guided missile with 3000 range, with other weapons at 1000, and the AI never engaged at the range of its ship's main weapons even with a reckless officer. I'm fucking done
@@scorbiotRecoverable in a usable state is another matter, and there is no real science to this. Or, rather, no workable science - you want to disable, not destroy. Good luck doing so as that seems more RNG than anything.
You should just make this a series “20 ways to bully the ziggy“
*Casually tanks motes*
Im gonna be honest with ya, I rather face 1v1 the Ziggu boi than a level 7 Officer Grendel. Shit is scary
He's beginning to believe.
Angriest phase brick in the game
Good taste, song name?

Does it not work even with a reckless officer?
how do i NOT destroy a ziggy? i want to salvage atleast one
To salvage ships, you always have to destroy or disable them first. In addition to that, Ziggurat is always recoverable.

@@FunkThompson youre a literal bot

The Ziggurat was guaranteed to always be recoverable last time I checked
