Being bullied as a kid, made me so much stronger as a man. As a kid I got bullied. I'm no victim because we all go through shit, but I'm glad I was bullied. It made me who I am today. Strong. And I hate excuses and people who play victim.

The weak die early and often in the animal kingdom and human society isn't exempt. It's sad, but that's what it is. Hell, look at evolution. The anatomy of an animal LITERALLY changes on a cellular level to adapt to an environment. Humans are no different. I would of hated Tate 5 years ago because they say that men should do their role of being strong because that’s embedded in our DNA but what do you say to the small percentage of men that are weaker than most women? We force them to protect and fight physically? It’s impossible for small percentage of men to be “masculine” because no matter what they do they will never be physically stronger than most females. Some men hit gym for years and never gain a pound of muscle. Every man wants to be masculine but men have to at least be stronger than the average women to be masculine.

I am Polish and was a little chubby on top of it when I was in school. My friends called me fat polak constantly and THE MORE it got to me THE MORE they would do it until 2-3 years passed and half the school was saying it. I am going to assume these figures went up quite significantly from 2020 to 2023 (Gallup polls) Aka 9.9 million Americans have been the victim of a violent crime unless the figure has to be calculated of adults only in which case I'm just going to assume halving that number would be somewhat accurate.

Important to qualify what he means by "strong" and "weak". While physical strength may be a factor, it's not the only factor of "strength", not the only facet. It's also a mindset. For example, an unfit man can still be strong and masculine. I'm kind of glad society is becoming lazier, because it means less competition for my dream job in a judicial role.
I cannot imagine not experiencing any type of bullying as a kid. Probably one the more well beneficial experiences to have in your earlier years. It builds a solid foundation of strength and awareness youll need to know how to manage when you become an adult. Overall, proper guidance is a bigger key in factor to build strong n positive characteristics.
They bullied me once. Then they tried it again, got punched in the face. I grew up to be a try hard 6,4 basketball player with excellent grades at the age of 16. I don't believe every man should be bullied, but it does have excellent results on your physical, mental and emotional health if you defeat your bullies.

Those feelings need to be assessed in way you can learn from and make those impactful adjustments. Personally, without encouraging bullying, but simply accepting its existence and preparing your children for those types of encounters, rather than posting “Stop Bullying” and thinking its gonna magically disappear.
Yeah there's a balance though. I was bullied - was really skinny and had a lazy eye - it was tough. Learned to not let people give me shit eventually. Now at 33 and 6ft2 I command respect, get told I'm a natural leader and have my workplace seniors fast tracking me to directorship. People listen to me. People respect me. No one has tried to fuck with me in years although I'm still only 170 lbs. I gained a certain sharp edge - I have no problem telling people exactly how it is and if that needs to lead to fists then so be it - no one is farming my happiness for their own ego gain. God bless my Dad for always teaching me to look and push forward no matter what. Rise about it. Become the best man you can be. Believe in your heart. Don't dwell on the past. On the other hand, I've seen overly extreme bullying destroy kids forever. I'm talking severe bullying - I remember one of our primary school teachers would also bully this poor lad alongside the students. This lad used to wet himself and the teacher made him strip in front of the class, he would put the boys dirty pants on the BOYS HEAD and make him wash himself in the class sink while everyone watched. It was sickening in hindsight but we didn't realise as small kids. This went on for years and that kid was NEVER the same after school. Everyone has a limit where you can actually break them and they no longer function how intended. I mean this is probably how certain psychopaths are created. So yeah, it is not black and white. There is a balance. As a parent we will have to be mega aware of what is a healthy balance of a bit of hardship and hope.

I'm someone that picks my friends carefully. At this point in my life (24), I believe this is very important to do. I have a set criteria of personality traits that I look for in people I meet. Intelligence, drama resistance, self-awareness, mental strength, drive, humorous, and capability for logical thinking are the things I look for. Anybody who isn't those things is either not my friend at all or I keep them at a distance tactfully. Those closest to me want to win at life as much as I do. And the funny part about that is... none of my friends look like Tommy 🤣
Just live your life and do what you believe is the right thing to do. At 24 trying to live your life based on words you found in a self help book is not really who you are . you'll only end up confused and the ppl around you won't know who you are. I was hardcore bullied in school you know what I did? I got into martial arts ended up winning a gold in tae kwon do and tang soo do and obtained a black belt in both. As soon as word spread round that I could whoop arse I was suddenly left alone. Did I have to use those abilities against others? No only 5x in my life have I had to use them and it was merely to defend someone at a bar. In which case I didn't hurt them severely I just took em down and held them there till law enforcement got involved. Going through martial arts taught me to be strong, aggressive, and competent and how to responsibly control it. Weak men get walked all over.

For example, an unfit man can still be strong and masculine. I'm kind of glad society is becoming lazier, because it means less competition for my dream job in a judicial role.
I cannot imagine not experiencing any type of bullying as a kid. Probably one the more well beneficial experiences to have in your earlier years. It builds a solid foundation of strength and awareness youll need to know how to manage when you become an adult. Overall, proper guidance is a bigger key in factor to build strong n positive characteristics.

They bullied me once. Then they tried it again, got punched in the face. I grew up to be a try hard 6,4 basketball player with excellent grades at the age of 16. Yeah there's a balance though. I was bullied - was really skinny and had a lazy eye - it was tough. Learned to not let people give me shit eventually. Now at 33 and 6ft2 I command respect, get told I'm a natural leader and have my workplace seniors fast tracking me to directorship. People listen to me. People respect me. No one has tried to fuck with me in years although I'm still only 170 lbs. I gained a certain sharp edge - I have no problem telling people exactly how it is and if that needs to lead to fists then so be it - no one is farming my happiness for their own ego gain.

On the other hand, I've seen overly extreme bullying destroy kids forever. I'm talking severe bullying - I remember one of our primary school teachers would also bully this poor lad alongside the students. This lad used to wet himself and the teacher made him strip in front of the class, he would put the boys dirty pants on the BOYS HEAD and make him wash himself in the class sink while everyone watched. It was sickening in hindsight but we didn't realise as small kids. This went on for years and that kid was NEVER the same after school. Everyone has a limit where you can actually break them and they no longer function how intended. I mean this is probably how certain psychopaths are created.
So yeah, it is not black and white. There is a balance. As a parent we will have to be mega aware of what is a healthy balance of a bit of hardship and hope.

I'm someone that picks my friends carefully. At this point in my life (24), I believe this is very important to do. I have a set criteria of personality traits that I look for in people I meet. Intelligence, drama resistance, self-awareness, mental strength, drive, humorous, and capability for logical thinking are the things I look for. Anybody who isn't those things is either not my friend at all or I keep them at a distance tactfully. Those closest to me want to win at life as much as I do. I was hardcore bullied in school you know what I did? I got into martial arts ended up winning a gold in tae kwon do and tang soo do and obtained a black belt in both. As soon as word spread round that I could whoop arse I was suddenly left alone. Did I have to use those abilities against others? No only 5x in my life have I had to use them and it was merely to defend someone at a bar. In which case I didn't hurt them severely I just took em down and held them there till law enforcement got involved. Going through martial arts taught me to be strong, aggressive, and competent and how to responsibly control it. Weak men get walked all over.

I remember i was in the worst emotional state in my life once where i was close to ending it. I never received helped from anyone only myself.
