this song really feels like a letter to a time in your life that has passed - including all the the bad and the good parts of it - and knowing that you will never be on the same place in your path again
In short, this song was Calli reflecting on her past in the JP underground rap scene, the time she spent in it and its recent "death" due to COVID, and her taking off as a hololive member while seemingly leaving her old friends/life behind. I'm leaving out a decent amount of nuance here (she spoke pretty in-depth on this one in a lyric dive stream), but that's the jist.
I love her song and it's the first song I've ever loved this much but I don't think I'll ever watch her song explanation. I prefer to have my own unique thought of what she might've been inferring. Great song, means a lot to many different people :)
I just want to say thank you for giving this a chance and listening to this song and enjoying End of a life. She did do a lyrical breakdown of the song on her channel and she did say that she tries to leave song open to interpreted by how the listener feels! This is probably one of her best songs and too think she was about to scrap it for being too emotional, crazy how talented she is too have this song relate to so many people
UA-cam Algorithm popped up your video, and I gave it a watch. I really like how you shout out some of the comments, that's a nice twist I haven't seen many reactors do. I gave it a like, and subscribed. I'll check out your content going forward.
Calli did a lyric breakdown stream shortly after the song was released. Prior to becoming a VTuber she was in the underground rap scene in Japan prior to COVID, she signed up for Hololive as a joke and she did not tell her friends about it, so you can expect what happened next. After she was signed up with Hololive her friends criticized her for "Selling Out". The song is about her feelings about being abandoned by her friends now that she is successful.
Been a few months but here is calli explaining tjis song a bit ua-cam.com/video/2zmQbHNItjc/v-deo.html Full video of her talking about the song should be in the description.
I would also love to point out that "Crown" and "Graveyard Shift" are songs in collaboration with BOOGEY VOXX. And one of them (afaik) is one of those people from her time in a different rapping scene. They basically go way back. To be honest you can tell how deep their appreciation goes by listening to "Crown". So definitely check it out. The other side of this depressing coin that is "end of a life." It's uplifting in more ways than one knowing that Calli's still in good terms with at least one of her heroes.
i can't believe i forgot this vsinger band. Johnny Henry is a blues rock band. Check out their song titled Over The Wall. eng subs are only auto generated though.
Subscribe for another Calli´s enjoyer. Great reaction and very good taste with choosing her stuff. Looking forward to next reaction to one of Calli´s songs.

and her literally leaving behind her friends to move to japan
@@josephstalin3452 Well, the friends she's talking about her specifically are those who were there in Japan with her.

@@rhythm-peko9408 and she's perfectly okay with that, too. She wants people to be able to have their own meaning if that's what they want.
4:15 calli moriope
lol
Killed me as well
Lmao made me chuckle as well
Let's summarise the whole meaning of the song with one quote Calli herself said: "I wanted them to be proud of me..."

Very good song. Nice reaction
4:03 ah yes my favourite vtuber "Calli moriope"
nice reaction ill propably check out more
Her rhyme schemes are really amazing. The breaks between the verses and chorus are very attention grabbing as well. Mori's song is super lit.

She is talking old char and the new one
Honestly, the vocabulary is one of the reasons I got into rap. Also, how it tends to tell stories is the common thread I like between country and rap
