There was always insecurity. The problem with these tiktok guys is how obsessive they are over it. The other problem is that when women see these types of vids of dudes doing this, see a dude doing stupid surgeries on themselves or the most stupid ideas for health that don’t really do anything, many women cannot help but see it as a “now men know how we feel!!!”, or aren’t concerned, they don’t really see that type of stuff as bad for men, and seem to only wish to compain about their own beauty standards, while telling men to suck it up because that’s how women feel, so it’s not a problem suddenly.
Not gonna lie, there's almost a cruel irony to see a trend of young men do "tips and tricks" that women have been told for decades lol I remember reading about the eyedrop technique for "brighter eyes" around 2009 when I was in high school. Been doing it since then but because I have terrible allergies and my eyes are always bloodshot when I wake up 🙃

LOL I'm a 44 year old woman who has been doing facial yoga and buccal massage the past couple months to try to combat the sagginess that comes with age. I also find myself reminding myself to keep my chin up to try to minimize the look of saggy jowls. And I use snail slime - it's a great moisturizer! Facial yoga/massage is free and I think I can see some benefits. Eventually I'll be a wrinkled old crone with liver spots and a turkey neck but I'd prefer holding that off as long as I can. But I can say that my canthal tilt remains unbothered. You have such an amazing channel! I just found it yesterday and I am loving it. You put such great effort into your edits. Snail extract is the thing they put in those types of moisturizers (which can be like that guy has in the video, aka. Oil like or a cream) it has no smell and its one of the best natural things you can use to hydrate your skin :) You don't have to kill or 'imprison' the snails you just let them make that transparent snail trail they leave behind on a clean surface (which can be directly on your skin!) and then scrape it of of that and put it in a moisturizer* also it doesn't have any weird texture, it feels really nice actually. This is all coming from a person with acne who uses snail extract products also English isn't my first language so sorry for any mistakes * I don't think this is the factory process but basically you're putting snail trail extract on your face, hope this helps :))

The snail creams were already on tell sell when I was a kid. You seem to understand that women are given insecurities via marketing/societal pressure and then sold the cure through cosmetics and hygiene products but you seem to be unaware or unsympathetic to the idea that men can fall prey to it as well. Some women are criticized as being “traitorous” or insecure for choosing to perform femininity with makeup, trendy clothing, or complex skincare routines, especially as they age, even though the point of feminism is to equalize women and give them the choice to exist as they want to. Vain or not. Beautiful or not. With the exact same consequences men have for the same choices. Now I see men being made fun of like women are for making the same choices to perform femininity/“looks maxxing.” I see you imply they’re insecure, that their interests are frivolous, that they’re stupid to make decisions that put their health at risk for an aesthetic and certainly there is some merit to this but you’re not going to end the stigma for not performing femininity for women by bullying women who do and you won’t nip beauty companies trying to double their buyer demographic in the bud by bullying men who fall prey to the same trap. Would have loved to see you talk about this issue without placing a disproportionate amount of blame for the predatory marketing on the consumer. Thank you for reading. ❤

4:24 i know this is a joke and it is really funny also love your channel and binging your videos butt let me just educate everyone on this. Snail extract is the thing they put in those types of moisturizers (which can be like that guy has in the video, aka. Oil like or a cream) it has no smell and its one of the best natural things you can use to hydrate your skin :) You don't have to kill or 'imprison' the snails you just let them make that transparent snail trail they leave behind on a clean surface (which can be directly on your skin!) and then scrape it of of that and put it in a moisturizer* also it doesn't have any weird texture, it feels really nice actually. This is all coming from a person with acne who uses snail extract products also English isn't my first language so sorry for any mistakes
* I don't think this is the factory process but basically you're putting snail trail extract on your face, hope this helps :))

Lol as a woman I have heard of all of these, except the laser blue eye thingy. But colored contacts have definitely been a thing for a while. The snail creams were already on tell sell when I was a kid. Some other ones are sticking needles in your face (microneedling), chemical peels, trying to not make facial expressions to prevent wrinkles, waist trainers, fake nails and so on.. it was fun watching this video and being reminded just how ridiculous all the expectations are.
