I own a 2021 Georgetown 5. There is a pipe under the kitchen sink that sticks up. It is open and leads to nothing, but appears to be the vent for the toilet in the bathroom. It emits a sewer odor at times. What's its purpose? Is it a vent or an intake for the toilet, and, if the latter, shouldn't it have a Sutor Vent on top of it? Strange that it should just exit under the sink and have the venting lead to nowhere! Darrel Longest
Very interesting, we did not see that and will look for it the next time we get into a Georgetown. We would have the same questions as you do and the best thing to do is talk with a rep or service person. There probably is a way to vent it differently so that you don't have the smell. Hope you are able to figure it out. Let us know. thanks for watching
That is a really great idea. We know some manufacturers do this but very few. If we could clone ourselves and our time we would love to do them. We are sure you aren't the only ones. We will add it to our list for you. Thanks for watching.
The cable driven slide is good because it is a light weight mechanism, can handle heavy slides and can be on floor flush slides. It is not necessarily better then other slide mechanisms but it is also not worse (which some folks it is because it looks flimsy). It is lighter but also more expensive. It also does not let the slide go as close to the wall on the inside and the inside of the slide may be shorter then other types of slides. Hope that helps. Thanks for asking and watching.
This slide mechanism is different than the cable slide on your last video. Other video is a cable and this one is a slim line mechanism on the slide. Can you explain this for me and which one is better? Thanks!
The slim rack mechanism is different material and works on more of a cog wheel type of mechanism vs the pully type of the cable, but the system is essentially the same. The slim rack is fairly new for me and I have not heard much about how it is doing. Has there been problems? Is there lots of warranty issues etc...? Those are the questions I am still waiting to hear about. Sorry if that doesn't help you much but as I learn more I will share more. Thanks for watching.
Nice video, very detailed walkthrough. But I am sure this is a 50 amp service system. A good rule to go by is; If it's an Onan 5500 QG and up it is a 50 amp service. Onan 4000 QG and down are a 30 amp service. Safe Travels!
Thanks for the comment. The cord on this particular rig was small but it did have the upgraded genny. I did check and as of Sept. 2018 all of the 3,5, and XL are 50amp. So thanks for bringing it up, it is great that 50amp has become standard on all units not just the XL, it is a great move on Georgetown's part. Thanks for watching.
That's very unfortunate that you do not like your's. The different levels did have different inside details. We hope you get your issues managed because you are right it is a lot of money. Thanks for watching.
I have a 2012 Georgetown and the fit and finish as well as build quality is great! However having walke through the RV's of the last few years the quality has gone down. The last one we walked through had walls that didn't fit flush with the ceiling. Cabinets that were subpar. We used to love the Georgetowns, but at this time we would have to look at other brands when we decide to go to something newer. The camera mounting reason is smart, but in real world use you don't get the depth perception you get from them mounted to the mirrors.

Excellent job. Thx

I wish I could get a walk-through video on how everything works. We bought ours used and I’d like something to refer to when I have a question

Why is the cable driven side good? Why is it better than another type of slide?

Worst construction ever on the inside. Cheap looking for the price.
We have one😤
