A very underrated guitarist. He's awesome.
I wish he would solo for longer
One of my favourites
3:16 you can’t see his hand move. I play guitar too and let me tell you, that’s impossible
He's like the canadian Jerry Cantrell - A prodigy and Incredibly professional and creative
@@p.c.principal7324you say that as it’s literally moving
One of the most underrated musicians of the modern era
C.J Armstrong ✔️
What about jagori tanna?
@@davidwile1277 I don't know who that is, but I will check them out
@@c.jarmstrong3111 I mother earth
Ian is so innovative and so damn talented, great guitar player, singer and song writer. Love him
This guy is a riff monster
The most underappreciated guitarist I've ever heard.
No I'd say jag tanna from I mother earth is even more underappreciated
My favourite guitarist
Arutzuki the fucking best!!!
Mine too
one of my main influences besides beside Synyster Gates and Mark Holcomb
Cool. He's great
How does this guy not have his own signature fender strat yet? But Jim root does.
I would totally buy it if an Ian D'sa strat was released
Because your mom has heard of Slipknot, but probably has no clue who Billy Talent are.
What’s wrong about Jim Root? He’s also excellent in his way 🤷🏼
Because Billy Talent is from Canada and they're not as popuar in the United States.
very very very very original guitarist. so amazing riffs.
This guy never got the credit he deserved. Humbley Canadian to the bone. Truly for the craft.
These guys are such an INCREDIBLE band. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have seen them earlier this past summer at WTFest in Brantford Ontario. Out of all of the shows I've seen, that show was BY FAR the most energetic I've seen.
Love the Canadian maple leaf on the guitar.
One of the best of the generation 🤘🏽
I've always loved his guitar playing and the tones he comes up with. To me he is the brains and the sound of BT. His guitar tone is so good!
Dude is a super underrated guitarist. He is a genius at making catchy riffs for Billy Talent. With proper practicing, anyone can shred. Making a catchy riff for a big band is no easy task, but he’s great at it!
I'm someone who doesn't really pay attention to band members, especially ones who aren't lead singers, but he stands out to me. Only person I've ever said "who is the guitarist?" Very unique sound.
shame on you for being that person!
just saw him play a week ago. heard every note loud and clear, perfect like the records. all while singing. he and BT are incredible
I want to see him and "Brownsound" from Sum 41 collab please.
This guy's tone just feels like home.
That guy is a legit master! Absolutely brilliant performance
Ian is a legend! 🤘
Always loved his tone... a single coil in almost metal type tones.. it sounds heavy but also full like Lifeson and twangy.. so good and unique
Didn't he say he build in a staggered pickup?
You are so underrated genius musician ..
Ian is one of my biggest influences to start playing guitar. I met him in Toronto years ago at the Horseshoe Tavern and got a picture and chatted a bit with him super chill guy! One of the greatest most unique guitar player's out there.
I finally stumbled over Billy Talent and I have to say to me this is an outstanding guitarist. Love his sound, feeling for music and technique.
I'd love to get my hands on a Wooly Mammoth pedal some day
Best guitarist ever ❤️❤️❤️
Ian D'sa is the man!!!!!
I think he's so underrated!
One of my biggest musical inspirations! Love you Ian
Dude is amazing!
My favourite guitarist,pure talent
Awesome guitar player. Very underrated
ce mec joue solide en concert, ça arrive dans tes oreilles!
Saw these guys in Moncton a few weeks ago and they killed! Awesome live band, and such an underrated guitar player!
Rad band!!
I fucking love Ian d'sa
i love this guy
Grey Eagle Casino ! I was there baby
Finally, the most onderrated guitar player
Guitarist with the coolest riffs fo sure.
IN THE FALL IN THE FALL WHEN THE TIDE TOOK THEM ALL IN THE FALL IN THE FALL WHEN THE TIDE TOOK THEM ALL
I love that part
I wouldn't naturally associate the Billy Talent guitar sound with a Fender strat but having played a "loaded" strat which is able to both sing and roar, it does actually make sense to me, they are very versatile guitars 🎸
He only uses a Strat live! In the studio, he has used a 52 reissue Tele since the first album. He will use LP's an such for overdubs, but the Tele is 99% of the tones on the record.
@@jaketreece ahh ok, so why doesn't he use the tele live?
@@matthewvarney6214 he said in an interview a few years back that the Strat with a humbucker is the perfect guitar for live tones since the Strat cleans up nice like a Tele, but he gets the fat humbucker sound like a LP. I always wondered why he doesn’t use an HH Tele instead, but I’m wondering if the curves of the Strat just became more comfortable for him live. He used to use Teles live in the early days on BT
Iam not an guitarist and i know there is more than just 1 guitar but holy shit that much instruments and he do so much stuff on the stage.... incredible
Great musician
СУПЕР!
Zvex sounds beast live, i was actually trying to guess what the heck he is using there...
0:20 did he just say he has a JB5 on the bridge position? What is a JB5?
Imma assume it's an sh5
That's more gear than I expected.
I had his exact sound with a knockoff strat and a $50 practice amp when I was 12
Ian is awesome. Sweet style, very underrated player but great Canadian musician! With out him billy talent wouldn’t have there sound.
Is it pronounced billy talen, or billy talent
i have no idea what he just said, but it was awesome
Didn't say anything about that giant rocker pedalboard with all the lights flashing and 30 switches, what do they do all the major guitar playes used them.
3:55 security pushing a guy back into the crowd xD
it arrive at literally all of their shows
Have you been there in Kiev? I have. It. Was. Amazing.
Any idea what guitar strap he has
That iconic hair xD
Hey you guys at Seymour Duncan and all the others who read this. Do you know which Bridge pickup Ian uses on his white Fat Strat Deluxe?
Pit Neumann it's the new JB
Looks like Johnny Stevens from highly suspects strat
Diezel! Damn
what floor unit is that at 2:01 ?
This is a badass rig but did anyone else notice that Ian has an insanely sibilant "S" when he talks?
Klynx22 listen to "land of a thousand hills".
Is it really the SH-4 JB humbucker? Ian said in the video its the JB trembucker Alnico 5-loaded. I found the JB Trembucker TB-4 on your official homepage. Which one is it?
A JB is the same as a JB Trembucker, although the Trembucker version's poles are slightly wider for guitars with trem systems. This link explains it all: www.seymourduncan.com/faqs/what-does-trembucker-mean-and-how-is-it-different-from-humbucker
Does that strat have jumbo frets?
Which staggered pickups does he use?
2:20 he does that in a song… doesn’t he??? Which one I? I can’t remember for the life of me!
What does he use for neck and mid pickups?
Anyone got the Neural Amp modeler for his rig?
What is the song at the end?
Can anyone tell me , please
Time bomb ticking away
I think lmao
Danke Meiner!
he said jb 5 on the video but why in description you say he use sh 4?
JB5 does not exist, imo
What guitar strap is that ?
I am groot.....
Song name?
I can't believe it. All these years I thought for sure he played a Tele'
He is a tele player but for concerts he prefers a strat. I'm guessing it's because strats are lighter and a bit more comfortable.
He needs to be added to G3
The rhythm tones on the records are a telecaster though.
And a majority of the new album was also tracked with Gibson LPs.
the studio is different environment. he mainly uses his special Telecaster for cleans and stuff, combining that with the heavier stuff with a Les Paul. But using that two for live would be hard, so instead he uses a Stratocaster that kinda combines to two aspects of those guitars.
That venue looks like it will sound terrible, but will be a fun open floor for the audience
)))))
Maybe he has no forehead, but he has much more
Billy Talent is still a thing?
They are way more thing now than ever before... you're missing out, go see them!
Sure! Their songs have grown so did BT's audience ;)
