Today I just wanted to go on a quick rant about something that keeps bothering me with recent minecraft horror mods, that's about it.

I kinda agree it should have a balance between not taking so long and not showing 247
I think just some sound effects to keep the player on their toes would work.
We need that balance, bro. That perfect balance.
We need a mod that doesn't just attack the player after a while or when you look at it, we need a lot of variations, like you can find it doing something like eating the body of an animal or even building something, it would be interesting to see it interacting with the environment and not just with the player or the stupid skeleton who just shot him, accidentally getting his attention.
This!
I think it's dumb that these mods claim to be so innovative and unique but all they did is make the monster have restraint and not just attack you every chance it gets.
I would love to see a mod that tries to add a living, breathing creature to the world.
Not just a regular "enemy" like the zombie or enderman, but something that actually interacts with the world, something that's actually smart and hunting you.
this comment thread is something I've been trying to suggest to mod devs for months now but NOTHING HAS COME OF IT
only horror mod I've seen with this kind of feature is the obsessed, and even that's limited on its things it can do.
ever watched Calvins "From the Fog" series? i love how it shows that Herobrine interacts with the world and eventually gets more and more angry as time goes on, creating pits of lava and places for the player to die. now, obviously this is done in creative and a whole lot of config files, but it still makes you feel uneasy and like he's ACTUALLY living in the world, and not just some mod. another example is that in his latest episodes, he's on a journey to save Alexbrine (basically Herobrine with an Alex skin and more functionalities) and when he succeeds in doing so, she actually has a response to his actions.
also just another thing I think would be nice is mod developers taking into consideration things like angles when stalking the players. like how if you're exploring a mineshaft he can be peering behind a wall, or just hanging from the ceiling. maybe he can go up in the trees on purpose and drop down like how The One Who Watches does in the mines.
@@oreoisonline Alex and Herobrine in Calvin's series is amazing. Another is Bizzle's from the fog series, Herobrine and Yang (I don't know what mod the creature is from) are super interactive as well. Interactive mods would be so great to have more often. Herobrine especially in series seems more "sentient" imo too which makes him cooler. He gets mad if you do certain actions, more mods like that would be cool where you do something and it triggers something (without being too annoying like fever dream).
Whispers of the Wendigo update:
@@KitterEZ LOL I forgot about that mod
You have two mods whoch are good examples of both cases: the Goatman - he makes sounds literally every 30 seconds and appears everywhere, and the Manbear- it takes way too much time to actually build up, plus the developer has eagle eyes to notice distant things regular players will never see. In my opinion the mods should be like the Manbear but with more often signs that he is there: maybe footprints in the wild, random sounds or anything to make you realise you are not alone.
yea you are right the dwellers spawning too often is honestly really annoying, i see a lot of people saying goatman spawns a lot, which yea that is true, but i never see anything pointing out the wendigo and creation, i think creation and skinstalker are just worse, because i've had the skinstalker show up in my house so many times it actaully makes me wanna cry, and creation always attacks me out of nowhere, plus the lazy af design and boring sounds
The first mod that comes to mind for me is The Goatman. That guy not only makes sounds every 30 seconds practically, but he also spawns sooooo often.
Yes but it has a config so you can set the spawn rate and sound rate as you wish
@@kihec007 Yeah so I've heard but I suck when it comes to configuring mods. I'll have to look into it
@@Lord0wnageIn your world save, look in the “serverconfig” folder
Goated opinion, especially the config file mention. Glad to see there are people who care about MC horror beyond just getting clicks
I heard that Alex, the creator of alex's caves and Alex's mobs is working on a mod based on the movie NOPE that adds the Jean Jacket or JJ for short. It's basically a flying saucer alien creature. And it will spawn in the maisa biome. It will take like 3 days to spawn in but it's still really good. Try looking it up and see videos of it.
4:17 thought he was gonna say "the dev has been cool he sent me multiple instructions how to pronounce it"
Kihec is cooking with explaining stuff 🔥🔥
They should make their mod like the from the fog Herobrine where he stalk you and just show up a few times
Gotta say, there's something to be said about getting what you ask for and not liking it. BUT, I absolutely agree that _ANY sort of config for some of these mods should be almost a no-brainer._
I have a couple ideas on funny mods that I'd make in a perfect world, that being some sort of Dweller Interactions+ mod that would balance Dweller spawn rates while still giving creepy vibes (i.e, multiple Dwellers sighted at once) wih everything from MftF, Goatman, to oddballs like Fever Dream. Another would be some unique staling creature that would sit behind you for extended periods of time while you aren't looking, playing like... breathing or something, messing with the world, but omly attacking you under special circumstances...
All of the dweller copies that use the Evolved AI have a config. They’re in the “serverconfig” file in world save.
People make dwellers that spawn rarely for build up but forget to add actual build up...
Someone should make a Vita Carnis mod.
YES YES YES 100%
@@Random-guy-on-yt ikr. I am curious how the Monolith, Mimic, and Harvester would be coded.
@@imapotato1111 I think the harvester would be stationary of course, but idk how the rest would be tbh
@@Random-guy-on-yt Maybe the Monolith would be more of a structure were 7 monoliths would spawn in a circle and be unable to kill
YESSSS 100000%
I agree with you. there should be a proper buildup, but there has to be hints.
That’s probably what I’m gonna do with my mods, cause rn I’m using dweller ai but I’m testing out stuff to add like build up so the dwellers are just not spawning every 3 minutes. Im also testing new updated dweller ai I might use if it works. Have a good day kihec
👍 Just use the Goatman as a measure for what’s too much. If it’s screeching constantly and spawning every five minutes, it’s too much. If there’s literally nowhere in the entire game you can go to escape from it, and it’s always in your face, ofc it’s too much
That's actually a really great idea.
@@KAIZEN626 thanks
Although dwellers are now an overused and dead concept, I at least made my own personal dweller done properly; subtle activity, doesn't bombard you on day 1, has an actual buildup to it, but like the rest, it's still a dweller. It's just something to mess around with. At least new stuff is coming out, even though the interactions are too few and far in between.
Day 172 of edging to kihec till he plays fnaf 4 at 20k subs
Never give up!
This video is accurate since whenever I encounter newer horror mods, they spawn less frequent; new horror mods are more terrifying, yet it feels as if you do not have the mod enabled. Whenever I encounter the old dwellers however, they become too frequent to the point you know when the dweller will frighten you; Dwellers have their scares, but they are not necessarily "scary." You are undoubtably correct that there should be a balance between the spawn rate with all horror mods as this will create a more fun and horrific atmosphere of horror. Although, this still depends on what a mod developer wants to achieve with their form of horror.
Idea: Start out like From the Fog Herobrine, then rarely start a chase
I gotta be honest, I like the long build up ones because it is an unintrusive mod that doesn't dominate your playthrough, if I'm playing on a modded server then I don't want the horror to be at the forefront. Id rather just play the game, but having the chance that something is watching you while you play makes it more exciting.
Edit: Never mind he nailed it. Although its still fine on a server with minimal mods imp. Sometimes just the occasional change to add something to the gameplay or environment can be better than a giant modpack
Do you think you could make a lists of all the mods u use? 🙏
The horror mods recently mostly have been in the same loop, even though a couple probably add a few features to try to not make it the same loop. It’s all the same, we need something different than just appear, stare, make noises, then some point attack you.
Solution for people trying to make a UA-cam video about it: The Dev could make a UA-camr version where it happens quicker and the regular version
From Another World mod might just be what you looking for.
The devs should test it before uploading it so it won’t have many issues from the players that may not experience the events.
Gotta say, there's something to be said about getting what you ask for and not liking it. BUT, I absolutely agree that _ANY sort of config for some of these mods should be almost a no-brainer.

[Yes... We need better customization for horror mods or even more interactions that are not just looking and attacking. What we try to do with our analog horror series is take those existing dwellers that are bad (or not) and improve them to give special qualities to each of them. Basically we try to make our own dwellers to tell a story and at the same time give the community ideas to improve their creations (although I think we are doing it badly or at least not as well as we want)]
I am trying to make my own horror mod. And I am actually trying to do the entity that is spawning after second day but he is not only a mob. His code is also a a variation of events that can happen. Its not like the scary spoopy entity will spawn everytime he shows. Sometimes it can be just something that shouldn't normally happen
Basically I try to fillow the rule thr unseen is scary. But that doesnt mean there will he nothing happening.
It sounds odd but maybe in next couple of weeks or few months you will be able to see what im talking about when you find that out
GL with update for Siren Head
fortnite battle pass
You are the shining star in the Tartarus of dweller mods (If you don’t know what Tartarus is we’ll search it)
Gotchu
people should take notes from beta archives of different entity's they all have a unique buildup, one of my personal favorites is the entity debase it watches the player its not there to harm him it is afraid of the player as much as the player is afraid of it another one would be the one archive where the world is being corrupted by some weird black figures, the ending was pretty lame with all the admins and stuff, but the starting was really good! people should consider using corners ceiling buildings and other structures blocks ETC to add good buildup that man bear entity is a great example, people like swayle are popularizing straight jumpscare creatures. 2 of my favorite series atm is the librarians 3rd season of from the fog with the hauntings and Calvin's from the fog, they don't milk it or try to influence it by saying Where is this and that every 20 seconds. larger entity's should not have the hitbox of a cave dweller for example a 12 block tall entity fitting thru a 2x2 door with ease. im also glad to see mod creators like the creator of the one who watches taking advice from the community rather then the influencers. thats just my opinion on everything.
Hello !
For What day Siren Head update ?
Did you run into that with the watching nightmare?
If someone turns Animaniacs into a horror mod I will literally be like HOW IS THAT EVEN A HORROR MOD HOW DID YOU MAKE IT SCARY HUH?? If one person makes that a mod I will recreate a map of the world a mini version like a globe but flat because it's a 2d globe/map then I will summon yakko then you know the rest also there should be a structure that is a 2d map of the world and if you say Yugoslavia and Botswana then yakko will just you know sing but jumpscares you and the scarier version of yakko weirder creepier voice and ya know where did I get this idea?? From this video and I saw 2 Animaniacs plushies at a carnival since I know it's a cartoon I challenge someone to make that a horror mod somehow like how do you turn that into a horror mod tho and make it actually be HORRIFYING?? Can't wait until someone actually does this of multiple ppl you also should add structures from Animaniacs if you make one atleast like mention the challenge that I gave you the challenge
What's the shaderpack you used here?
im pretty sure its complementary but i know theres a lot of edits of this shader so it could be any one of them, shouldnt matter too much tho!
Kihec pls help me how to download siren head beta on mobile
I just played a horrormodpack with a friend, after two weeks playing it suddendly siren head popped out of nowhere and demolished our base and killed everything that was inside. In my opinion siren head should not be able to kill other mobs except the player and also he should not kill you threw walls.
good video bro
unfortunately i think the minecraft horror niche is gonna die soon within the next 6 months
I do agree Kihec, these are the exact reasons why I prefer to start modding myself, but no offense to the modders of course
What is the Shader Pack you use? Looks awesome.
Complementary reimagined (and increase the contrast a little bit in shader options) 👍
@@kihec007 thx bro
Kihec is back
Wait what's the name of the mod in the thumbnail it looks cool lol
I doubt the Bigfoot mod is just a dweller reskin.
it almost certainly is
that’s why he’s the GO…Yapper
we already know bro
When Kihec talks about shit it's serious
These mods have configs.

this is great lmao, and it's not scary for me
Play more horror games on stream like fears of fathom games or something
Playing fears to fathom isnt gonna be that fun since I've seen all the games already, but when a new one comes out I'll definitely play it
