But this is so wrong, people in the village are the most toxic one....with the new gen people are slightly changing...but the older people are the most toxic ones and everyone knows that some of them are so bad but no one raises their voice bcoz of that bullshit line

Crescendo of emotions while watching Kaankhowa !.
Scenes where Maloti threw the letter, leaving the village Meeting or walking in despair after she realised she couldn't even arrange a proper burial of her cow - I could feel her pain,I ended up crying over and over again.
The child artist Ram did extremely well at his part .
In fact during this 29mins everyone did justice to their role and it never felt like ACTING .
Ended the sad story with Ray of hope ,education
Marvellous direction, superb acting.
Kaankhowa is a master piece .

As people have already said the story is really heart touching while also showing an ugly side of the society.... But i would like to praise the cinematography and how beautifully and purposefully the film was shot. It was truly brilliant in every sense of the word. Kudos!!

I hate these systems in villages.It has led to suffering of many common poor goodhearted people.Thanks for showing the darkside of this xomaj.Few months ago there was an incident where a family was made eghoriya by the village because they started poultry farming.These old evil disgusting men who hide their dark side and pretend to be scholars in the society favouring the rich and harrassing the poor.Luckily eibur ajikali iman naay.

This is such a good short film I’ve seen in ages. It really captures the true side of our society. Society has always been cruel towards poor and helpless people. This short film beautifully captures this harsh reality. It’s such a powerful and eye-opening story, especially in the context of rural communities.

Very raw and real depiction. Kept coming up in my feed a number of times. After ignoring a lot, finally decided to watch and now I am stunned by the depth and rawness of the story.
This short movie has very nice depicted the harsh reality that every underprivileged women has to go through.All though our society is progressing in great pace yet there are lots of untouched and undermined stories to tell. Deeply touched.

I know this is the dark relaity of village life in assam , i think not only in assam , other states of india this is so toxic and become intollerant at some level, u can see that at the end even though they know the truth behind her death but they r still not admitting their fault rather they start saying the child is weird as he has no father.... So toxic enviroment
But have to agree the writer , the actor and director everyone what a masterpiece , depicting and showinh us the dark side of village life
