Very interesting, I've not seen this type of feature before....I don't use Sony as primary tapes, only as test tapes in new cameras...for primary tapes, I only use Panasonic Pro (MiniDV only, as its serious footage), better quality picture and better chemicals. I however, will keep an eyeball out if for no other reason the to dork wirth! :) While watching this video, I was checking all the MiniDV I had access to for that marking, never paid attention! I have the smaller brother to the TRV-25, mine is the 17...it's in a bag in pieces...a cap job that went bad. The VX1000 is on my troll list! I know I say I have a lot of cameras and state I'll review them one day, and I will, I just don't have time to do it proper with test footage, so I may just grab what's at hand and do a quick tease of future video's, I'm sure you'd appreciate the eye candy! ~Jack, VEG
I just picked up a Sony Dcr trv 22 and I believe it has cm on it I never looked but I run Fuji film tapes thru it. But thanks anyways for that information.
The Random YT Channel the DCR-TRV22 does work with cassette memory and will be able to use the full functionality if you come across some of these tapes.
Low Budget Productions Thanks! I just looked on the camera. It says 16k on it. Cool! Finding the tapes will be another issue but we'll see if I can locate some.
