It’s a shame Larry passed during production of the reboot! I think once he passed the show lost a lot of its force since he was such an incredible actor with such an incredible character that was as awesome now as he was years ago!

In and Old School Dallas Book when JR was 12 in 1951 he went buying Cattle with his Father. When the Local Boys dared him to ride the Cattle, Jock got very angry with him, and then Daddy said "But Daddy I Love You!" It also resulted in a characteristic trait that he would carry with him for the rest of his life until Jock died. The belief that he couldn't have Daddy's love unconditionally.
