GCLR Episode 7 The General Managers Inspection.

At the GCLR, the staff had been given a weekend off to visit the 16mm Association, National Garden Railway Show. However the General Manager was coming to the GCLR for his annual inspection, This resulted in a lot of activity this week to clear things up. make the place look good.
Everyone liked and respected the GM, but knew he was quite firm and strict yet fair, so everyone was keen to make a good impression. On the big railways Senior Managers do actually have special trains they go around on, these are called Inspection Saloons. In this video, its a slightly smaller version!
In this video, we see a lot of trains and people, and I am learning new skills in all this video editing malarkey! This for me is learning how to make short films, edit them and upload them!! I am enjoying that learning, but non of this is serious, I do it to learn, and keep my brain active, but actually make a handful of people smile. We live in a mad world now, this I hope takes us away from all that.

So glad all went well with the inspection! All looks good despite the overgrowth problem .Bird song is wonderful too,lovely to see the greenery after the winter months Rolling stock looks in fine fettle .Do hope nervous Nancy doesn’t have to wait too long before her train arrives , sadly no tea room near Allan’s Halt but lovely views on a bright May morning…..

Thanks very much indeed, the bird song is a added bonus. As for poor Nancy, good things will happen soon I hope, she sits quietly, enjoys the view of the passing trains and people, refreshment room, mmmm possibly in the future :-)
