El titulo "The battle of the timbaleros"es lo unico a obviar en este video.Yo creo que en vez de una "Batalla", es un encuentro creativo de sonoridades y estilos donde cada cual esta aportando lo suyo al goce de esta fantastica reunion de timbaleros. Generalmente en la guerra, la batalla es una fase "destructiva"; aqui lo que hay es constructivo y bello. De todas formas los felicito por exponer esta muestra,gracias.
La Batalla de los Palos, Nicky Marrero desde la Fania All Stars en el Timbal y la Batería un pulpo, com swing y sabor. Orlando Marin, timbalero que canta y hace coro, ese tema Timbalero magistral. Ralph Irizarry parte de Ruben Blades y Son del Solar, muchos éxitos más fue director musical de la banda del programa de juegos Que Suerte con Hector Marcano en Puerto Rico y no se nos puede quedar el Rey del Timbal Tito Puente, amo y Señor del ritmo y del sabor latino
Solo nicky queda de esa generación de buenos timbaleros , aunque no estan presente Oreste , jimmy Delgado , paz a sus almas a lo que se fueron para el otro barrio y larga vida para los aun viven .

Saludos mi gente !!...NO OFENCE but I hate when people record videos like this one when you have JIMMY SABATER doing a great solo and the person recording is only on TITO PUENTE's face like if he or she never saw tito puente. And we missed ALL the solo sabater did on his timbales like if he wasnt there..it's a shame how people could do those kind of things on recording..se perdio un historico evento. Then you have ORLANDO MARIN doing a great solo and this person is doing the same thing recording only tito puente playing la cascara on MARIN timbales. common folks don't do this kind of crap. THIS IS MUSIC HISTORY..Hellooooo !! The 2 best timbales solo there was in this order...RALPH IRIZARRY, NICKEY MARRERO, ORLANDO MARIN, JIMMY SABATER and las TITO PUENTE.. Though tito is tito and NO ONE WILL EVER , EVER REPLACE HIM !! It will be time long for that happen and we could see the new king of timbales. But lets face it..RALPH IRIZARRY was the best timbalero that night .. REST IN PEACE..TITO, JIMMY and RALPH !!
