Sam the cat was rather unimpressed....where's the compartment for food??!! Although I'm not in the market for a new bag, I must confess the USB connector on the outside is something I would like to have - nice design too.
I just ordered the bag myself, and it arrived yesterday. Love the look, but I have yet to set up pockets in the interior. The video I saw showed the quick, easy access on the side of the bag used for a camera- it isn't an option for me. I have the Nikon Z9- it is too big. I was going to return the bag, but now I see you used the top zipper- I will try that. I, too, bought it because I liked the retro look and that it seems to downplay the bag as a photographer's one- I might be less likely to have other eyes on it. USB seems intriguing placement as well. This is smaller than my other bag- I find that an issue if I want to quickly head out. I often grab a few items and no bag- Bad decision as I left my Nikon Speed light at the Zoo here in Denver for a recent zoo light night- Dam it! You have an excellent review style-thanks, John.
Thank you so much. I'm glad you found this useful. I recently took this bag from Michigan to Sedona Arizona and it worked really well. I even packed my drone in it. I'll have a video out soon about what and how I packed for the trip. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Looks like a great bag Jim. So many compartments and the USB is a really cool feature. I need a new bag. Not sure this is the one for me, I need something that can withstand our torrential downpours. But I certainly need something that can hold as much as this bag does. Great review Jim!
Thanks, Paul. Yes, this one is water resistant, but they do offer a waterproof black version. Being a total wimp, I don’t venture out in the rain, so I don’t need a waterproof bag. 🤣🤣
Excellent camera bag review, Looks like a winner! Love the retro look of the bag! So much access! I been experimenting with camera bags lately too, hard sometimes to not over pack too much, but when you have a bag with ample space it cries out to be filled! Nice to see it has some space for water bottle and tripod. I have that same problem every year with getting older...hmmmm ;) Thanks for sharing and always great content!
I wish they would have used a beige interior to stay consistent with the vintage look. I understand the gray is to make it easier to see inside the bag for small items. However, the same could have been done with beige or off-white while maintaining the vintage look. The gray makes it look too modern.
Are you still as happy with the bag 1 year later? The ads have popped up for me and I'm considering buying. But my concern with this smaller company I've never heard of is the bag not being durable and long lasting.
This bag is terrible. Its so cheaply made. Took this bag n one outing and the straps tore off. I had no heavy weight in the bag. Also the bag is super stiff and feels like sand paper. Im waiting for a refund currently but they are ghosting me. Also they charge a big restocking fee. This company is a scam.
@@VintageInsightPhotography it's not "me not liking a bag". It literally started falling apart. I want to update that after they received the bag back, they never responded to emails inquiring about the next step. They didnt respond on social media or the support email thread. Thankfully my bank handled it. To this day, silence.
@@EricDejuanOOO I too ordered a Sunny 16. But after 2 months, I have yet to receive it. No word on when (if) it will ship. I tried emailing via the support link, but crickets... My bank is refunding my purchase.
@@christopherseely1151 UPDATE: I eventually received the bag, and the materials they use are the cheapest they can find. The bag is worth $30 at best. I'm very experience with product development directly with manufactures. They used thee cheapest materials they could find. The Canvas feels like hard cardboard and sandpaper. I was going to settle but on the first day carrying the bag with 2 lens and 1 camera, no laptop, the top handle tore off. THEY NEVER responded to me once I sent in video evidence of their cheaply made bag tearing. They never processed my refund once they got their product back. I eventually provided all evidence with my bank and successfully disputed the charge.

Sam is pretty unimpressed with everything. 😹😹
So far I’m really enjoying this bag. Not too big, not too small.

Thanks for the great video review on our camera bag James! Big thumbs up from us 🙃✨
Thanks for making this great bag.
The bottom pocket is great for your bag’s rain fly if you have one.
Looks a smart and stylish bag, very retro so will be very fitting for all your film gear too!
Thanks. I’ve been really enjoying this bag. Traveling with it soon. We’ll see how it fares on the airplane and some desert hikes.
It looks great, very practical 🤠👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Looks great, like a snake in the grass. SUNNY16 is a dishonest company. See my post

We have a waterproof version too (only comes in black currently) 🙃✨

So far, I’m really enjoying this bag. Looking forward to taking it out west. Thanks for watching.
It is NOT a winner because SUNNY16 is a loser. They are dishonest. See my post
Hi Sam! 😊 nice demonstration of the bag. Glad it is working for you.
Me too! 😘
Bought one in the same color. I loved the vintage look to it and all the storage. Cant wait to get it!!! Love your hat too!!
Thanks! I’m still using and enjoying this bag. (The hat, too!)

The bag I carried in the 1970’s was tan outside and burgundy inside.
How comfortable are those shoulder straps? That’s a big concern when going on lengthy hikes with lots o’ gear.
I carried it loaded with gear to the Devil’s Bridge in Sedona. Straps were very padded and good. Lots of well placed back padding too.
Nevermind the comfort. Mind the integrity of the company. They are dishonest. See my post and BBB's "F" rating of this company
