Sooooooo cute thx so much for making the pattern free it means so much to me
ikr same, made a couple for my bro for christmas, each one having a different expression and clothing lol (also a shiny one too ^^)
Riolu has been my favourite pokemon for 11 years and I've been struggling to get ahold of a plush of them :( so I'll make my own, thank you for making this video! ♡
Thank you so much for the tutorial these Valentine!Riolu are so cute!
When I saw your pattern I knew I wanted to make myself a Riolu of my own but was unsure with a few steps so this is such a big help ❤️
So adorable! Thank you for sharing your process and pattern!
Super cute!! Thank you for the link! ^^
So beautiful 😍💖 thank you so much 💖
Great tutorial and pattern, thank you so much!
Tysm!
Owmmm They are very cute!
Riolu, the emanation Pokémon. A fighting type. The Aura surrounding Riolu's body indicates his emotional state. He alters the shape of this aura to communicate.
this is amazing!! what material did you use/where did you buy it?? thanks!
Is beautiful!! Thanks for tutorials !!😍 What sewing machine do you use?
Thanks!
My main machine is a brother xl-3750 but that's a bit of an older model now.
I also use brother SE-400 which is a sewing/embroidery combo, it's linked in the description ^_^

If I use felt will it come out as round as the meterail you used?
Felt doesn't stretch as much so the end result will be a bit different.
You can use fleece instead of minky to get similar results. I also will say even if you only have felt, it's still good to use for plushies as it's easier to work with than something like minky and good for practice :)
dollphinwing ok tysm it’s just that I’m on a short budget and minky where I live is very expensive
Do you sell already made shiny riolu plushies?? I would love to purchase one :)
Could I buy a regular rolling one of these from you? And possibly more Pokémon?
At 16:20 I always liked to think that riolu had horns and ears (cuz thats way cuter than only-side--of head-growing hair) :P Anyways thanks for making this! Im trying this out!
Edit: I found a way to make it easier to inside out he body and arms. First you sew up the body as usual but don't sew the darker part of the body. Then inside out, stuff, and add the arms through the (unsewn) darker part of the body and sew all the way through by sandwiching the arm in between the darker fabric. And there is no difficult inside outing! :D hope this helps anyone else who is trying this out! TYSM for my new riolu plush!
Haha yeah I like that! Like floppy dog ears and then horns on top lol
It's gonna turn out so cute 😀
@@dollphinwing I got noticed!! It was super effective! *faints* (You win!) Reward: 1 sub
I just now realized there isn't the white paw nubs on this pattern (Which is perfectly fine! Since it adds to the cuteness!) but I'm going to add some to mine! (for the accuracy) :P Have a good day! :D Edit: Thank you SO MUCH for putting the amount that is needed to be cut out on the pattern!! It is a great help!
I to know how make it blue
where do you normally buy minky? it’s so hard to find it at a reasonable price
Yes, minky is a bit pricy at around $13-15/yard.
One of the cheapest sites is fabric .com, which also has product on amazon.
There are also people on etsy who smaller cuts, or if you look on my website I have extra stock in a couple of colors that I sell by the half yard:

Can all the color blocking be done on a sewing machine instead of by hand?
You can but I would recommend scaling the pattern up first as that should make it a bit easier to do all the turns.
Otherwise when it's this small, it's generally more precise (and less frustrating) to do it by hand.
Oh! And you can also choose to applique the color separations as well if you'd like. Hope that helps :)
From 1 out of 10 how hard do you think this would be for beginners?
Depending on how beginner you are (like if you have never held a needle or it you just haven't done any advanced work) and whether you have help/parental supervision. I think it could range from a 7 (no idea how or sew, no parental help etc) to a 4.5 (slightly experienced, guided on hard parts etc)
Is there any way you could make it more clear how you put the body pieces together? Like at 2:40ish I've tried sewing them together multiple times and I just can't quite figure it out ; ;
I was trying to use felt to try it on before going to minky but I'm stuck at what's basically step one lol
Hiya!
Yes color blocking shapes like that can be tricky. You essentially need to line them up and sew with a straight stitch right sides together. You can try making a small stitch at each point that matches together so it stays lined up while you sew the rest.
An easier way to do it would be to applique the pieces. So you'd join the paper pattern together to make one whole body piece, then use the top half to cut out the dark colored piece and sew it on top of the body using a zigzag stitch. I do applique for the eyes, so if you watch from 11:10 you'll see how to do that.
I know your plush is gonna turn out so cute!

ME LOVE DAT BOI
If I doubled the pattern size, the plush would be bigger..right? I know little about making plushies, haha!
This link will help, it's the formula for re-sizing a pattern! If you double the size of this one (200%) it comes out 8" so it would be 16" finished :)

@@dollphinwing I hate when UA-cam doesn't notify me when I get replies-- Thank you :>
@@UnknownMocha Also if you use the original link, and print it out to ''letter size'' it will be about 75% to 60% the size of the original, be carful though since the small things like the muzzle gusset will be easy to lose and sew on lol
@@naomigwolfe8112 Okay, thank you. I'm attempting to make it bigger, haha!
@@UnknownMocha nice if you use a stretchy soft fabric and super size it, you can make it a pillow lol
How do I get the pattern
It's in the description
Do you like Pokemon 🙂🤔
why don't you do it how it normally is
Why not
