You probably dont care but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch all of the latest movies on instaflixxer. Been streaming with my brother for the last weeks =)
@Sean Brendan yup, have been watching on Instaflixxer for months myself =)
Love how they 2 young girls are waving at the camera at the start haha
🤣🤣🤣🤣

Without doubt you do the best trip reviews!!
Noel: The East Midlands Line
Me: You mean the Midland Mainline. The mainline from London St Pancras to Nottingham and Sheffield
Thank you Noel, G D Nord brings back a lot of memories going back nearly 40 years travelling from the UK, the Eurostar over the past 20 years brings back many too, though non in recent times, but your vid enabled me to relive my past with a smile, thank you for that ❤️
This type of travel is why Americans head to Europe for vacations. Easy, inexpensive, and allow you to see parts of countries you miss when flying. Excellent video Noel.
I really miss the Eurostar, my last journeys were last year to Disneyland Paris. Also the last time I was in the Gare Du Nord Eurostar departure lounge it was heaving!
How long before your departure time do you have to get to the train station? X
Do you not have to provide proof of vaccination or Covid tests when returning to the UK?
At the start of the video, I was in that exact spot 2 years ago today, a lot more people back then, the restaurant behind you served a good breakfast at reasonable (for Paris) prices.
Hi Noel, thanks for the nice video! Funny enough, last time I took the Eurostar (Feb. 2019), 4G in the Eurotunnel was fine, but there was no connection in the tunnels on HS1 on the British side. Is this better now?
I recently went through London Tunnel 1 (the St. Pancras to Stratford International one) for my first trip back into the city and I think I had signal! Even if not, it's ten minutes of dead time at most.
Hey Noel fantastic video really enjoyed it. Do you have to quarantine on your return? And may I recommend trying Teeside to Heathrow by Eastern Airways. Looks like the route won’t last a long time as it’s been relatively quiet so would be cool to see you try it out!
Another great trip review from Noel!
What annoys me going the other way from St P is that you have to struggle to lift up your giant suitcase onto the airport-style security check roller things. At airports on-board suitcases are tiny but on the Eurostar you might have a lot of stuff. It nearly killed me!
I can share a little bit about my personal experience with Eurostar as someone with family in France.
I travelled on the Eurostar in June from London after the rules on requiring an "attestation" were lifted, so I could reunite with family. I was due to go in March, but covid made it very unsafe to go and I am not a French national (I am British+Canadian without a visa), so even though I decided not to go, it would have been impossible for me to enter the country anyway. When I did go, I was quite surprised by how lax border control was when I travelled. I had documents in my bag to prove my familial relations and the reasons for my travel (to live there and reunite with family), but I was at most asked by French border control "where are you going?". After living in France for a few months, I had to return to the UK for some personal obligations and UK border force did not really seem to care much about your form and just gave you a slip of paper. I was questioned for a bit at security by French officers for some items in my bag but that was all. Note that French police at the border will ask you questions in French, not English, they will not appease to speaking to you in English at this time. Most people on my train were French speaking or transiting from a flight.
Upon arriving in the UK and going down the escalator, some people were pulled aside for random questioning (maybe that is what the paper is for) and to make sure you had your form but that was about it. I was not pulled aside. I live in London so I took a cab home. I quarantined for two weeks (I don't go outside anyway), and though the government like to intimidate the public with a £10,000 fine, not once was I contacted to make sure I was isolating, and that seems to be a shared experience among others I know who have *had* to travel during this terrible pandemic. I am not saying that people who have travelled abroad should flout these rules, but I am shocked that there were no checks.
I would like to return to France for Christmas, but I am unable to do so. I hope I can return to my family soon, though at the moment there is still a lockdown in France and in the UK. From my personal experience, I would not recommend travel unless essential during this time (work or family), and that there should be stricter control at our border. However, the UK government does not seem to care and will let anyone through.
A little confused - why does one clear at the French border when one is in essence leaving the country?
Oh wow! Never been this early 🎉
UA-cam are getting too comfortable with 3 unstoppable ads
oh noooo. no more vlogs from Noel for next 2 weeks as he'll be quarantining. ;-[
Hi Dear
Did you had any Stamp on you passport to travel to Europe(after brixt)
Thanks a lo
your only stamped when you fly
Not much longer as its going down the pan
How long does the Eurostar take between London and Paris?
2h30 on average
All about the trens ;)
Euro=Europe dollar 💵
Usd=US dollar 💵
Border force? Wtf UK!
Is no one gonna talk about 0:10
The holiday - Mr. Bean!!
Enjoy the 2 week quarantine
He comes under the journalist category so he’s actually exempt from having to quarantine. Plus I think this is before the second lockdown was announced.
@@danf7402 quarantine introduced b4 lockdown 2
I am a huge fan of the Eurostar even though I have never been to Europe, so thank you for posting this video. I have one question, does the Eurostar still use their class 373?
Yes, there are still some in service
Yes, on some services between London and Paris
Post Covid? No, it's by far not behind us. We're still in the middle of that shit show so just drop the "post"
Noel. It’s fine if we don’t hear you as clearly with your mask on! Ur health is more important to us then anything else! Stay safe brother
This deserves more attention!
Love all your videos 👍 really enjoy when you try other modes of transport, especially the ferry over to Amsterdam where you cleaned out the mini bar made me open a beer whilst watching 😂
Glad you like them!
I really can't wait until there's a more efficient route between Stockholm and other parts of Europe without having to do a million different changes in Germany.
I think the whole continent is waiting for more efficient cross-border connections...
The ICE I feel should go to Stockholm
I used to take the eurostar a lot when my wife worked in Paris, I agree with that feeling for home when you exit the tunnel on the UK side. A great way to travel
How are you able to travel when the governments advise is not to travel unless essential 🤔
I want to go to Kenya and wonder if I can?
To be bust if they cant come up with funds for debt repayment . THe French would like the UK to cough up , however SNCF are just investing a vast amount in Spain it is therefore difficult to see why UK taxpayer should be contributing to something 55 per cent owned by SNCF . IT may be it should be allowed to go bust and another operator take over . Of course one suspects it may suddenly become very difficult to use the French infrastructure should that happen .
I’m trying to figure out if you need your booster shot to be considered fully vaccinated entering Paris. Anybody know?
Why did you fill out the uk passenger locator form when you were travelling to France?you were supposed to fill out the French passenger location form to travel to France.and once you reach France you fill out the uk form within 48 hours of the return journey to uk ,so I'm really confused
I'd love to ride the Eurostar one day!
November: 'post covid' - how cute. *b117 enters the chat*
I love the Eurotrain! :-D
I am wondering is there any change post Jan 1st 2021 due to Brexit?
Never done it. On my list though as my Wife loves France
So annoying that they don't stop at Ashford currently, makes a trip for someone in the southeast a pain in the arse doubling back from London
The e320 looks absolutely garbage inside!
I will go to study to France and have a student visa, do they stamp my passport at migration control? or are there only electronic controls?
How long would you recommend we get to the station before departure?
7:54 Aaah Nice to see people driving on the left again
Did you have to qurantine on your return?
hi can you share how was the pcr test does it needed when you going to paris and return to london ?
Do your ears pop when you're inside the tunnel?
Where's the flight report from the Carribean back to Paris?
Do they not stamp your passport on the Eurostar?
Post covid, still here no?
Never seen outside Nord so quiet
Do they check to see if you have too much luggage?
Another great video Noel, I think you should try out royal air Maroc business class
So.. it is great travel in the Eurostar, I want to go home , i want to go out, but the law tells that you cannot leave home only for essentials or to work.. then you see people posting they are travelling in the eurostar... i am about to lose my 1 year Eurostar voucher as we couldn't travel at the end of March... no comments..
Brexit is gonna suck so bad for travelers...
I used to think the same (I spoke about it at length in my original Eurostar video). But the closer we get, the more I realise we’re pretty much living a Brexit scenario already. We aren’t part of Schengen so we have border controls with Europe anyway. Customs may be different but it’s a pretty smooth process with non EU countries anyway, the biggest thing we will risk is EU 261 protection, but I believe we’re keeping an alternative for the short term at least. Freight will probably be the worst affected with the added customs levies.
BRA is Swedish for good
Thank you for sharing .. I read yesterday that Eurostar only have two trains per day currently from St Pancras .. one to Paris and one to Brussels / Amsterdam .. let’s hope Eurostar survive
Eurostar ist rip off
Oh matey, after the awful Mont Blanc pronunciation in an earlier vid, we now have a cringeworthy Gare du NorD.
Drop the pronunciation of the final D and you've got it. It really is that easy.
And as I've started... it is "travelling" in British English. We are not American!
A German trainset for the journey.
Boarder force form someone would think your traveling to America not the U.K.
Thanks for this video! Do you need any Visas/other costs going either way, can you confirm if the Eurostar is expensive, does it stop at Dover and Calais and how long is the trip?
Noel... I know you are an plane enthusiast but would be amazing if you could do an epic journey like Glasgow to London, London to Belgium.. Belgium to Germany and then flying back... Would be good
That would be cool!
@@noelphilips thanks for replying.i watch your videos all the time..
At the beginning of 2021, they offered and still offer only one single journey a day. Additionally requiring a negative test result (certificate) and a form or several forms (depending on the final destination).
120gbp one way? If so flying much cheaper but I can never understand why trains are more expensive, should be other way round!
Cheers 🍺
Ooh. Can’t wait to see the Caledonian sleeper. Want to do. But it’s pricy but still a tick off the list. Great videos. Glad I am a supporter.
Wow nice vlog Noel Phillips
In the UK you buy your train tickets in advance. What happend to them when your Eurostar is delayed? Can you take an other train, or do you lose the right to ride the train?
Great Eurostar Review! I think the girls at the start must recognised you and couldn’t help, but wave and get themselves in the camera shot! 🚅🚝
Everyone recognizes Noel!
Omg the start those girls 😭🤣
Hi Noel, great videos Buddy. I am due to be travelling by air next week as having medical treatement abroad. Do you find you have to have much documentation to show immigration/police at airport to show you're exempt for travel during lockdown? thanks
I enjoyed this video
I love Eurostar. Never travelled in the morning though. I take it you don’t get the little bottles of wine in Standard Premier that you get later in the day?
Can’t wait to use my Eurostar voucher from a cancelled trip next summer! Another amazing video Noel thanks! :)
I so want too do this Noel like you live Near Sheffield jump on a St pancras train then the Eurostar 👍👌
Thank u for video :) i hope next sept go paris for my birthday :) i was go use eurostar for first time :)& this video help me alot :)
Too many adverts and background music.
Hi Noel
Another great review, on comparison, what was the difference in quality and service between eurostar and the train service back home?
Kind regards
DS
Wait, a review from Noel without the pence per mile? I'm bummed.
I presume border control form can be pick up at Gard Nord
Loving the content been watching all your vids this lockdown!! Keep safe love to you and your family ♥️
@@YanksandBritsProductions oh I agree 100%! And I’d love to travel across America been a dream of mine since I was a little kid 🙌🏻🙌🏻one day! 🤞🏻♥️
@@YanksandBritsProductions haha love it! 😂😂
I loved my Eurostar trip I did from Paris to London. When I can get back over seas after Covid, I want to go to Amsterdam by train also.
Hi Noel, how did you escaped the 14 days quarantine in the UK after arriving from France? Do you have an exemption because you are a business traveller?
@@alhm1114 I mean if you are travelling for work, you have exemptions over the quarantine restrictions
Nice video! Good to mix it up and and see a different mode of travel every now and then . Something about rail travel that is relaxing 😌
Hi Noel. Great video. Was gonna ask about changes to Eurostar post brexit but you’ve done a great job explaining the processes. Do you know if it will continue running even after they officially leave the EU ?
It will run, even Eurostar have said it
Thanks for creating this video !
Itll be interesting to see you do the same trip next year, after the brexit transition period has ended....
Why would it be any different? Still have to go through passport control.
Yes. The point is how smooth the process is now, versus how it will be next year, whether it remains a rapid and smooth process, or whether it becomes a more drawn out process, given the impending change in status for the uk.
@@Vill2k7 There's no visa required but EU law changes are required for us to use the e-gates so not sure if there will be some initial disruption with that. We'll obviously be in the non-EU queue but to be honest, unless you're travelling to somewhere like Madrid or Frankfurt it won't make a difference. I was near the back of a huge queue in Portugal last year so I cheekily went via the empty "all passports" control and was through in 30 seconds. If my trips this year hadn't been cancelled I'd have done exactly the same again.
How is it picking up when it is being more calm?
Really enjoyed that video, Noel. Thank you.
I'd still rather take the plane of course XD
Looks like you've caught the sun!
Hope you and you're family are well and stay safe
I miss traveling on Eurostar.
Brilliant video neol I love to travel on Eurostar train
Is this border form to do with covid or due to the UK leaving the eu?
Is it a permeant thing?
Hi , no its only Due to covid19 for track and trace reasons and not because of leaving the EU .
