    I worked in a University before. If you like stability and all the benefits of student life without being a student - that's a university job. It was almost impossible to get fired once you had the job. My recommendation: learn all the bonuses / discounts you get as university employee. There are usually TONS. National businesses and local businesses give discounts. Your university often gives major business, so the businesses give benefits to the employees/students. Next, read the HR handbook carefully. The sick time / PTO really ramps up after years of service. Big public universities love their bureaucracy. However, you can usually get around many rules by finding the right person. The most useful people often are secretaries / clerks, because they can expedite things, and know who to talk to. The most powerful people often don't match their work titles. Don't be annoyed if you discover "lazy" or incompetent employees - just befriend them or if necessary, escalate to their bosses. For a simple request, often took weeks, and having to CC my email to higher folks to get stuff done. University job is much different than a private sector job. Many staff takes a large section of the year off, when students are gone and around winter/summer holidays. Enjoy your new job!! It'll be very comfortable.

    Hey! Love your videos. Hope I can find the time to see them all.
    How did you learn to edit this way? Your videos are very entertaining and so well made.
    Also what camera are you using? In the earlier videos it was a GoPro but what about now?
    Thank you! I’m looking forward to your next video.

    Are you glad your in the states? How does it feel now? I know other transplants think it is so much space, at first compared to China who's had thousands of years of development and population, to America is a shock, but you speak English better than most Chinese who's been here for years or any other person who comes to live and learning English. Is there any Chinese areas(shops or restaurants)in your locale you can visit?

    Is it possible to do a short clip on your last name Wu? I am asking bc I recently learned through DNA testing that I am 49.9% Chinese. My father and ethnicity has been a mystery for 60 years, and I always believed I was Alaskan /American Indian (which I am but, small percent), I had no idea I was Chinese and I learned from a relative match that my father’s name is most likely Wu. Researching this has sent me down many rabbit holes..as the name is very popular..in China, Japan, Malaysia, Korea....My DNA map shows China 🇨🇳..Do you have any knowledge of the name, and how Chinese people are named..Do they have middle names? My grandfather may have been Wing Wut Wu...

    No apology is necessary. You were using the expression colloquially. ''You guys' is accepted in colloquial speech to fill in the lack of a common subject in the second person plural. However, It is not acceptable to use that phrase in writing or formal speech. The word "you" is both gender neutral and can be used to describe either 1 person or a group of people.

    I say "guys" and that includes all. But consider yourself "checked" and put in your place by some virtue signaling Karen.

  • @aurora3655
    @aurora3655 2 роки тому +1

    (idk...i think "you guys" is pretty gender neutral. i don't think it's the same as deliberately misgendering someone. i feel like it's a bit extreme.)
