    Richie Kotzen was primarily the guitarist and back up singer in Poison and Mr. Big as their singers are Brett Michaels and Eric Martin. Billy Sheehan a bass player with Talas and David Lee Roth as well as a variety of other artists like Steve Vai. Mike Portnoy a great drummer from Drean Theatre ..

    The most overlooked treasure about this band, is their 3 part harmonies.

      Absolutely. The man pumps out melodies nonstop. 50 song album and every single one is good. He is a master vocalist and a guitar god. Also plays piano, drums, bass, everything. And he’s an awesome guy. I purchased his keyboard from
      Him that he used to perform “regret.” He was a great guy very down to earth.

    i am brazilian. Ritchie's wife is brazilian and play bass. This intro is inspired A LOT bty a great brazilian guiatrrist called Pepeu Gomes. I presume Ritchie listened brazilian music in the last years.

    If you play bass, you have to study Sheehan. There is no other way to put it. Then go back & listen to the first two albums from these guys. Then go study Kotzen. Yes, they kill it live.

    Winery Dogs have a ton of great songs. All three albums are solid. Richie also did an album and EP with Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden and there’s not a bad song on either one. Check out Smith/Kotzen if you get a chance, and as an added bonus Richie’s wife played bass guitar on their tour.

    You know this is one of the bands, especially if they play like this, it kills the song. If you keep pausing, you can talk about what you guys talk about when you stop the music, but again, I think I listen straight through. Yes, copyright issues, I get it. Great explanation of the song, by the way. It was nice hard work on explaining the song and funny moments as well where great. Keep the great work up

    Smith/Kotsen. Any song would be great. Kotsen is the lead guitarist and vocalist of the winery dogs. And smith well, adrian smith. You know who is that :)

    I got to see these guys a while back and Kotzen was great, Billy has his big bass solo, Portney he did too, Richie, he comes out with a acoustic and does a medley of his most popular Poison song, and in joined by the other two to finish the medley with a Mr Big Song (him and Sheehan played together in that group) and a solo song. No shredding, just a nice medley, when asked why, he said "I shred too fucking much, I want to take a break for my solo"

  • @kikiki4592
    @kikiki4592 Рік тому

    Kotzen played guitar in Poison and Mr. Big, though he did contribute and accent the vocals on many of their songs. Briefly played, yet never live with Ozzy also, and was in and out of Guns N Roses for a hot minite. Also sang lead and guitar in 40 Deacue, Wilson Hawke, and Vertu. Along with a shit load of solo albums where usually he does it all, oh almost forgot he has another new band with Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden, Smith/Kotzen, well worth checking out, Adrian doing some almost SRV goes metal thing with the vocals and guitar and him and Richie trade off well. Nilko McBrain of Maiden also plays drums on it, as does Kotzen, and Smith and Kotzen both play bass on the songs. All amazing music, nice rabbit hole to go down.
