It’s clear Randy’s gonna dethrone him, but I think it won’t happen until the Royal Rumble at the earliest. I could see them doing a trilogy of matches, but I honestly think WWE wants Cody to be champ until the end of the year.

Having Rhodes vs Orton will be a huge problem for Rhodes. Crowds will turn on him and instead would support Orton. Orton is a legend of this business even if he does wrong, crowds will still cheer for him. Rather have Cody turn heel or a tweener. It would be cool
Yes, Orton is over but Cody is really over too. I feel like if you book it right, Randy can make an awesome heel turn, like his one on Edge. Orton was a babyface and he was super over but once he turned on Edge, he got massive heat from the fans because they loved Edge and him being back and Orton tried to take it away from them. I feel like if you do something similar with Cody and do the turn well you will get Randy a decent amount of heat. I don't think people will turn on Cody as long as they book him well and right.

Absolutely love this theory, only couple changes i would do is Cody vs Solo at SummerSlam in a Bloodline Rules match Roman Returns to help Cody win out of respect to Cody, Cody vs KO at Berlin is fine, Cody vs Orton Hell in a Cell at Badd Blood, Cody wins and Orton demands a rematch at Survivor Series WarGames and since Orton is in a way Mr. Survivor Series Cody vs Orton 2 in a Title vs Career match Orton wins Number 15.
