I was really wowed with the AJ Lee interference here and the bracelet spot, it tests how the crowd would react if she ever wanted to do a return of sorts (imagine the matches she can have), it still sells the attack from Drew so he wasn't able to personally go to the event, and how he made an enemy to his family to the point that it costed him this match. Great work here as always!

I personally would love it if Drew won MITB only to successfully cash in mid match between Gunther and either Priest or Seth. That would leave Adam Pearce with no choice but to make Drew's match later on in the night against CM Punk for the world title. Mainly because I don't want sheeple getting their Gunther/Dragunov title match only for said sheeple to later complain about it and call it the same old shit. That and Drew actually deserves a long world title reign in front of fans

Jey winning the mitb makes more sense. DP can retain, Jey can cash in at the same night. Face vs Heel at Summerslam with Gunther. Seth’s the best but holding the championship back this early sort of requires him to fight more than his body is capable of. He can win it back at Royal Rumble though. They can set up Punk Vs Seth at mania with CM Punk winning the rumble.

Priest vs Gunther would be just fine. We don't always need a face vs heel dynamic in wrestling.

Gunther with his simple no nonsense straightforward wrestler gimmick is far more interesting than Priest tbh. But as I said WWE shouldn't waste the mitb briefcase. I mean look at what's been happening in recent years.
2017: Baron Corbin failed cashin
2018: Braun Strowman gives up on his briefcase.
2019. Lesnar wins the briefcase even tho he is not even in the match and quickly drops the title to Seth at SummerSlam.
2020: Otis wins who is arguably the worst choice ever for a mitb winner. Drops the briefcase to Miz who successfully cashes in only to drop the title to Lashly.
2021: Big E successfully cashes in. Good choice but his title reign was a failure and Big E couldn't become a main eventer like people expected.
2022: Austin Theory does a failed cash in on the US championship. Wtf?
2023: Priest wins and successfully cashes in. But Priest is lame n sucks.
We don't need mitb to be wasted again. They need to make a proper star out of this. So Jey or Melo are good options. Whosoever wins better have a proper title reign.
