The funniest thing was when Firestar asked Jean who she should throw under the bus. Jean said, “BEAST!” Tell the truth, make shit up. PEOPLE WILL BELIEVE YOU! I hollered!!
Or how Iceman asked for the original X-Men except for Hank...Beast is the worst.
@@jevonsygu1 That was sad when he called out for Scott, Jean & Warren.

Man the X men stay losing yo! This is getting seriously old. How you got a island full of Omega level Mutants. And still be getting bodied 🤦
Screw these writers.
Lazy writing and x-writers love writing thing like days of future past decimation because they grew up with it even tho we myself included are tired of it now.
Yeah seriously, I love the Krakoan Era, there were so many unique character arcs that could happen in this new setting, but somehow we have to have them lose anyway.
If it means omega levels getting bodied left and right, or the general public being written as too dumb to live (like this whole plan hinged on humanity believing the X-Men... blew up their own base, publicly murdered a bunch of high profile guests, poisoned their world famous medicine, etc...)
And then the deaths were just so gratuitous and torture-porn like. I'm kind of over it, too.
@@monstermoo4191 exactly well said bro!
Moira X is like a very annoying bug that just won’t die 😂
That's not Moira.
Her heel turn is still so shocking. As shocking as learning she was a mutant all this time at the start of HOX.
Moira is such an evil bitch.
@Nejourney78 we don't know that yet. There is the matter of the redacted journal entries.
She's not necessarily the original Moira, but she's the main one now. Hopefully, at some point we get one of her clones to get her pre-machine memories installed and we get back a Moira more on the side of angels. I always liked her character, but now she's about as hated as Beast.
@bajansamurai I know. Of all people I never saw as becoming a credible threat to the X-MEN, she was on that list.
Of note. This is at least the 3rd mutant massacre that a Sinister was responsible for. The original with him sending the Marauders to clear the tunnels. Him releasing the Legacy Virus upon the world when he unknowingly opens Stryfe’s capsule and now the Hellfire Gala 2023. He may have been responsible for others, but those 3 come to mind😂
Things that make you go hmmmm
Like he's trying to say something 🤔
Ahhh Interesting. I didn’t even think of that.
Like I will never understand why they thought having Sinister on the island UNSUPERVISED was a good idea all he does is fuck shit up all the time why would they expect him to be any different
Most of the worst atrocities committed by mutants have all been committed by mutants. Sinister and Sabretooth committed the Mutant Massacre. Mystique and Destiny intimated Days of Future Past. Shaw manufactured the Sentinels for Operation Wideawake. Stryfe unleashed Legacy virus. Xavier unleashed Onslaught. Apocalypse committed countless mutant cullings over millenia. Cassandra Nova responsible for Genosha genocide. Selene committed Necrosha. Even Wanda was considered a mutant during M-Day. Krakoa is a segregationist state founded on revisionist history.
Mutants can never catch a break always dying in mass. It has lost its luster story telling wise
Marvel is just a bunch of homophobes and bigots, thats why they do this to mutants time and time and time again!!!
except they didn't die in mass, so it'd weird to complain about them doing something different than they usually do. instead of their home being destroyed and all the mutants dead, krakoa is currently just fine and all of the mutants just got teleported somewhere save.
@@hypertechual4436 source?
@@oKyeahThen pacific krakoa (the one mutants live on) is left alone during the attack, so currently it's just fine
the only "source" that they die is a traumatized xavier panicking bc he can't reach them with his telepathy
in the gala, mutants across the world enter the teleporter gate. this includes Hope and Exodus, two of the most important characters in X-men, and Destiny, the titular character for the era that just ended and who foresaw this and made plans in place. unless death is confirmed, they're still alive. they wouldn't leave uncertainty for such important characters only to announce an off-panel death, and destiny wouldn't have walked through if it were a meat grinder like xavier thought.
also as they're using the portal we see mother righteous say goodbye to all the mutants while she casts a spell on the teleporter gate and puts the atlantic krakoa in a magic bubble
@hypertechual4436 except that according to the comic they did die. This is worse than Wanda's "no more mutants"... seems there's less than 198 mutants in the world left.
Magneto was so right !
Just before dying, he told Storm that Charles would sacrifice mutantkind for humanity, and he just did that in this issue!
Please bring Magneto back !!
I swear to god charles xavier is the dumbest mutant alive
All True! Magneto was right! Now imagine they are not dead and the whole thing is Magneto's plan to prove that Xavier was a traitor.
@@johnnyskinwalker4095 I don't think hes a traitor necessarily more like an idiot. Who just shouldn't be a leader? The mutants planning and security was a joke the whole time. Forge make it safe here. Done.
Man, I'm getting tired of mutantkind and the X-Men getting the short end of the stick. I have over thirty years worth of stories with them being brutalized, hunted, and hounded: I'm not really looking forward to seeing more of that. It's just like Spider-Man and the Hulk: they can never get any real progression because editorial fell in love with them at one particular time period in their existence and they won't let them stray too far away from that
@@jamman9569 You can have stakes without constantly having them on the run and fighting for survival. This is the same thing that's been happening to them for decades and it's getting old as hell.

Right!! Now the whole next year we'll have to wonder where the hell everyone is. Just like when they went thru Roma's gate..
Fuck man Cyclops is paralyzed?? Whaaaaat???

Juggernaut: Dead??? Cmon now..
Jean grey: Dead. Prodigy is dead( good- buh bye) Cannonball is dead???? Wtfaaaaack!!
My question: where was everyone else?? Northstar? Polaris? Colossus? Wtf??
The best of times.
INDEED!!!
I still have an issue that with some many omega mutant and high class none omega they get kill just like that marvel keeps nerfing mutants when realistically they should body alot of their enemies.
And committing Mutant Genocide....they LOVE their Oppressed Group Representative Genocides......soooooooo many....
I would love to see them cut loose. They should
And proteus could have handled that sentinel by himself.
Or Legion, or Exodus for that matter. When can Apocalypse come play?
Yep especially after showing how much power they had against the eternals with that giant battle
The mutants that went through the gates aren’t dead. Rogue is going to find Manifold, he’s going to talk to the universe, then he’s going to find where they were sent to, and then bring them back to earth.
Yup, and there's a clue in this issue to that. We see Magik, Moonstar, Typhoid Mary & Curse go through a gate. These characters will be in the title Realms of X but stuck in Vanaheim.
Edit.. whoops, it wasn't Moonstar in that group (though she is in Realms of X) we see Marrow though
They’re as dead as people who got snapped in Infinity War. As in, they’re just off the table until the endgame
@@KatzztarAnd Dust too, I believe
@@marcelo335 - Yes, I forgot to add her. Dust was in that group, in fact she was the first to go through the gate.
Smart
It seems when we finally get more black characters on the team they upright kill them off so fast. It sucks. Go Marvel.
@@jamman9569I think you need to re-read what they wrote again, because you clearly missed the point
@@jamman9569 What we’re talking about has nothing to do with anything you’ve mentioned, which is why I said you’ve missed the point. But I’m not going to sit here and go back and forth with someone who’se being willfully obtuse.
31:42 I have a theory well more personal, but I think all the mutants are trapped in that snow globe mother righteous has.
It was alright. The ms.marvel stuff was a waste of space, the G.O.D.S preview was distracting and unnecessary, most of the deaths were gratuitous and I really hate how one dimensional Moira as become post inferno. What I did like was Jeans plan to insert Fire Star into Orichis as a plant, pun intended and Orichis’ plan to use the Krakoan medicine as leverage to force Chuck to unknowingly murder hundreds of his children, as far as evil plans go, it was pretty great. Thought it woulda been better if Dugan actually let the mutants get the upper hand against Orchis and when they’ve got their backs up against the wall, Stasis plays they’re trump card. Would of felt more devastating, but what ever. Felt a little rushed but still excited for the future. Let’s go.
What really made me mad was that when I saw that they were using the voted mutants as the actual team, and two of my top 4 mutants were going to be on the team (Jubilee and Prodigy), and then to have them immediately be taken away…I almost threw my phone. I didn’t feel great after I read this issue, even ignoring Jubes and David dying. Not to say I didn’t enjoy it for the most part, but it was just so meloncholy. It kind of reminded me of how I felt after first reading Ultimatum
it's not really because of the MCU that Ms. Marvel is now a mutant, it's because Marvel as a whole is moving away from the whole inhumans schtick, which was all because FOX owned the mutants. But now that Marvel owns the mutants again... mutants are back on. LOL
And...we are RIGHT BACK to where we were BEFORE the Start of the Krakoan Age........
Moira is such a terrible villain imo...she is the Batman who Laughs of the X-Men Franchise at this point...
no we aren't. pay attention
I dont think Nimrod can do Cain like that ... reading marvel stats , it just dont add up ..!
in the role play power stats Cain Has a class 1000 force field and Total Regeneration with in 20 sec of damage None of Nimrods abilities even come close however ...comic books ..lol @@jamman9569
Nimrod beat Juggernaut in Uncanny X-Men #193.
I know she omega, but the fact that Jean picked him and flung him so effortlessly… Does he still have the Cyttorak gems power?
Aside from the cynical and predictable corporate politics for "resurrecting" Kamala as a mutant- Modern Marvel don't even have the story telling sense to have her gone long enough for fans to miss her. Dumbest company of all time.
They also have a hate-hard-on for "racist white christians". Good company, that Marvel !
as a long time X-men reader this was definitely the biggest L I have seen them take in years and there have been some doozys in the past
I honestly think they're going to use Selene to beat Mother Righteous.
If I remember correctly she's been very careful about not thanking her.
She thanked her in before the fall: sinister four
I hope Selene does cause I’ve always been a low key fan of Selene and I think, if they can give sorry..Jean wannabe Emma, a chance at heroism then why not Selene.
@@LarryDWilmore79Emma wanting to be Jean well that would be easy IF she actually wanted all she would need to do is cry,die every issue and be boring....get over yourself
@@LarryDWilmore79I hate you Jean fans can't seem to leave Emma alone if you like jean LIKE HER! Emma is doing her own thing !!
@@BarbiexxxDoll My bad, you’re right. Emma does do her own thing. I guess I was insulting Jean in a way because Jean actually cared about mutant kind, Jean doesn’t manipulate others for her selfish desires and Jean doesn’t cry when she can’t have her way.
I don’t know, I just see Emma and think of all of this and instantly get upset. I should just be satisfied with the fact that Jean is one of the five most powerful mutants on in existence.
Call me crazy, but I think this is all going to end up in Jean getting re-Phoenix’ed (whether she likes it or not) and use it to find Manifold and bust Righteous’s bubble.
Plus, Doug is still being…um…saved?…by Krakoa
Manifold was saved by Rogue and Destiny
I was thinking the same too , let's just wait and see . There must be another big event with phoenix force .
I said that back during The Return of Jean Grey comic. No one believed me. I noticed how after the Phoenix departed, she still had flames on her it the bird had been gone. I told people the Phoenix set up everything we are seeing happened just to make Jean need it again. It did tell her that it liked being her.
ofc charles is a downfall for the xmen. it’s what magneto tried to warn storm of🤦🏾♂️
I don't see how nimrod can do anything with juggernaut
How did Destiny not see any of this?? I’m thinking the mutants who went through the gates aren’t really dead, but maybe somewhere Xavier’s telepathy can’t reach.
The glossing over Jean’s boss moves in this issue is crazy. The way she stops the backlash from Nimrod’s attack, then the chaos of the ensuing battle without Omega Level telekinesis, then uses her final moments to rewrite Statis’s memory, planning with Firestar, while saying her goodbyes to her teammates deserves some respect. This was one of her best power displays of the Krakoa era. Too bad it happened at the end.
Also I didn’t read the free comic book day issue. So I appreciate the additional context provided in this video.
I guess magneto was right!!! Right!?! Really don’t see society or even the hero communities helping to protect mutants!!! This sad!!! It isn’t even entertaining anymore. Where are the mutant wins!?! Talk about being a one sided story. They need mutant getting power ups.
I wonder why Charles couldn't use his powers to see orchis intentions? Ugh...why can't we have nice things?
Honestly, if I were Charles, I would have called Dr stasis's bluff. I would have made him trigger the medicine. Not understanding why Charles Wood sacrifice all the mutants for humans.
@@jackwhitetronIt would have made more sense for him to use His helmet and tell the world that they poisoned our drugs And turn the world against orchas. And threatening to kill all of you
Personaly it was more the way they killed them like
Omega mutant who died like that while they got worse than that
There is clearly a nerf
My Jubilee better not be dead and i loved all the costumes at this year gala. Scott and Jean costume fly as fu***
It was great except for two extremely cringe things :
1- The Ms Marvel is now a mutant because MCU.
2- Moira being a Joker-like baddie. I don't like Moira being a villain (Bringing her back in a fantastic way in HoX/Pox for her to just be a generic villain is a waste of a character), but I could live with it if she was a cold calculating one. But the caricatural "Mad as hell" Moira, I really have a problem with.
It was still a great ride tough, and I am very curious about the coming months :)
30min + vid 🙌 that Prof X is not the best telepath I always saw telepathy as an ability that lends to supreme intellect and excellent judgment! What’s wrong with these omega mutants they need to step it up!
Emma gonna have to stop these gala no matter how great everyone looks 😂
Overall, there is a lot of setup for great potential entertaining storyline. But as i said technically, there are mutants that could've entirely changed, solved, exposed, or stopped everything or flipped it upside down. As a collective for me, I think it's time for humanity being big bad for mutants has passed. Maybe occasionally, for particular less powerful teams, but an attack on Krakoa at this scale by human forces just doesn't feel earned or great payoff. The Ms. Marvel stuff, okay, I'll go with it. I just don't care for her in the comics or find her interesting, in MCU sure but not the comics. Juggie being an Xmen member is cool, I love his story. Frenzy being an xmen team member is so cool, too. Former enemies becoming allies is always fun story. Very hopeful
The thing that makes me mad about Prof X is that he os the leader of a nation, not just a super team. Men that lead nations can't cooperate with terrorists. He should not haave sent the mutants thrrough the portal because his promary responsibility is to protect Krakoans. He was thinking like a super hero instead of the leader of a nation.. He does not understand war. In war, there will always be casualties. You have to make sure the casualties are not your people.
The Scarlett Witch needs to hurry up and throw some magical hands at Mother Righteous
Manifold saved the "nameless" mutants that went through the Krakoan gates. That's why Destiny went through all the effort to have Rogue (and Gambit) rescue Manifold. It's why ORCHIS wanted to get their hands on Manifold as well.
So basically what happened in Avengers Endgame with the heros coming through the portals.
It does kinda feel like the X-Men have spent most of the Krokoan era, to borrow a wrestling term, jobbing out to just about everyone. Hopefully the new series' have them on an upswing, it doesn't get much lower than this, right?
They've done some incredible stuff with their new home(s), for sure. I'm talking about their combat record: hordeculture waltzed onto their island and stole their floral tech, Nimrod smokes them at every opportunity, Sinister stunted on them for an entire timeline, one (1) Stark Tech sentinel mopped the floor with them, Mother Righteous is farming them for power. I liked all those stories too, this is just how they got me feeling at the moment.
@@SerenityValley84The moment we're at dawns when you've all just couldn't have been prevented if they just knew how to Pick the right mutant For the right job for example mystique Should have never been given the job to Prevent nimrod, you should have given it to an omega level with shapeshifting powers and blow it Before the female Scientist j even got there.
This issue was CRAZY. I knew people would die, but the graphic nature is was caught me off guard. I'm looking forward more so to how they come back from this. Fall before winter, then spring.
So ms marvel was what they wanted to do with the beyonder during the Illuminati mini series
What do you think about my theory of Professor X taking on a new antagonist role for the X-men,taking the world view that Magneto once followed?
I wouldn’t blame him and for him not to go full on dark side for at least a bit after something like this? Please! He thinks he killed his mutants to save humans. That’s gonna mess with him.
the problem is that he doesn't follow magneto. xavier dreams of living among humans, to the point that magneto says that xavier will martyr all mutants to achieve this. xavier takes the antagonist role by forcefully martyring them using mind control
Scott becomes Xavier....Xavier becomes Magneto
Isn't it Krakoa's Atlantic Island and not Krakoa proper that Mother Righteous stole?
Yup even said so in a text in that panel that was shown. I can't blame him though as I thought the same until I went back and reread it.
All I have to say is: Carter and you called out how MOST of this was going to go down.
As soon as I seen this post I clicked like I wanna know and I love hearing King Blerd break things down.
Ms. Marvel is a mutant but Wanda (Scarlett Witch) isn't 🙄
I want to see a Danger vs Moira fight
Sad Moira, just like Erik, knew about Xavier's messiah complex, and just as Erik feared, was used against mutant-kind
Give me Storm & Genesis teaming up to wreck some shop. Give me Storm unleashing that 1 Hour of Uranos on Orchis. Give me Wanda bringing back her dad from the waiting room to rain destruction upon the enemies of mutantkind.
Genesis won't care about Earth mutants, she'd claim tehy were too weak to survive. Though I have to admit your idea of them tag teaming up would be a wonderful op fight to demolish the enemies of mutantkind

When they started this island. They really didn’t need sinister. Then could’ve robbed his knowledge, and his DNA libraries. Leaving sinister a vegetable. Problem solved!!!! Especially with what sinister did in the past. It be justified!!!
I think they ultimately tried to convey that getting his libraries and stolen knowledge wouldn't be enough. Sinister was "essential" in having the cloning process be accurate enough for The 5's resurrection process to work.
It's hard to see it that way when Beast is out there solo resurrecting though.
...shoot...
...it just hit me that Beast can be useful to Krakoa again. Since they think most of the mutants are dead, they may think they need the one mutant left who seemed to accomplish resurrection without even needing the 5.
It was a good Achilles heel to stick into the story because when you look at it you can say Moira made a perfect plan and Charles and magneto screwed it up
@@aarojpoll They don’t need anymore achilles heels. As they already got them. This story writing is so broken. All I see is Orcas gaining ground. While the mutants are always losing. Seriously what genocide is this for the X-men now!?! You’d think by now they’d have a counter for nimrod. After all the fights they had with him.
@@patd9850 The story did need Achilles Hill without it it would have been perfect did you really think that this status quo would stay around forever it amazes me that kind of book readers who I imagine have to be 30 plus can't seem to figure out that these characters will always end up back at their familiar status quo at some point
@@aarojpoll The status quo is pretty much their struggle against oppression. Krakoa may not permanently go away. Even if we get another stint with the mansion, it made a great addition to their mythos (despite how some of the stories wavered), and it may be revisited from time to time for people whose baseline is the Krakoa era.
What is crazy is that we finally have a diverse x-men team, and the xoffice couldn't help but kill them immediately for shock...
The Diversity was created so that the plot device of a racist-bigoted homicide robot programmed by a white christian villian can do something super racist and bigoted and very homicidal. Good job, Nimrod, you're absolutely KILLIN' IT! :P
For real though......that was terrible
that was my exact thought. I was like, 3 black people on the same team?? And then, boom! 2 of them get taken out immediately.
@jamman9569 ?..?!... That's not what I was saying, but you sure have something to say.
@@jamman9569 I brought up the team having 3 black people because I couldn't recall a single time that an X-book had 3 black people on a core team at the same time. I didn't compare them to any other ethnicity or imply in any way that their deaths had more significance. I think you are reading into this too much.
How dare you not on touch on Jean Grey's part in this and what's going to happen with her next😮
I know why is they are always killing her??!!! Jean is the most significant death in this
So Magneto’s prophetic warning to Storm comes true after all
Dude, they go out of their way to show that “The Five” make it off the island in one piece, none of them are even hurt. So none of the deaths mean anything because they can all be resurrected again.
I'm tired of the X-Men getting screwed over. I'm tired of Jean dying. I'm tired of Omegas and psychics getting nerfed for story reasons.
Whatever. We all know that there's a universal reboot coming around the corner.... And quite frankly although the original founders of marvel were always quite up front with the fact that they created mutants as an excuse to give people powers without coming up with ridiculously contrived reasons as to why they would gain them.... It has since turned into an assembly line for completely disposable comic book characters. I remember the original four X-Men I even remember the original lineup after the X-Men first encountered cracker and we got introduced to wolverine ,storm, nightcrawler ,Thunderbird etc. I barely have any idea though who the heck was on the team that hope summer is created a whileago..... Mutant characters are simply getting less and less memorable because there's no real significance to them anymore. They've become the equivalent of dangling shiny objects in front of a cat.
Where is Leyla Chenney she is a teleporter.
Is Wynn not Nate Gray? Who else would make sense as the Mutant God? Has Nate been seen since he was literary mutant jesus right before Hickman came in and took over w/ HoX?
What comic did these mutant gods/Wyn pop up? I’m out the loop! Nate is magic based now?
They should not have lost man I hate these writers.
Xmen never win, thats why I cant stand the Krakoan era
Yeah, this just felt bad to read...
Wolverine clapped an unreal number of trained soldiers.
I have been trying to avoid this because it feels like its going to hurt to watch ...especially given where politics is heading lately. too close to home.
Yeah, I regret having read it.
Reminds me of how Jordan Peele said they had to change the ending of Get Out. In the original, the main character dies in the last scene... but by the time the movie came out, they looked around and realized that's not really the message people needed more of in their fiction...
I did not need gratuitous deaths for most of the X-Men, followed by them lined up in front of the gates to be... at best banished to Arrako just in time for Genesis and the civil war plotnine 😮💨.
Wait Deadpool is now a mutate not a mutant?
people are overreacting about this. they've been the most powerful group in marvel for years now, this is their first major conflict, and they're in a better position than any other event. most of their mutants are alive and safe somewhere where we cant reach them, including the five responsible for resurrection, destiny made a plan beforehand, jean sent a spy to their enemy to collect information and share it with others (possibly the world thus clearing the mutant name), emma is organizing a resistance, and iceman and jean are getting powerups. why are people acting like this came out of nowhere and why are they acting like this is the worst thing they've ever experienced
Honestly if they don't get a win and stay on Krakoa I'm done with Marvel. Let move forward not back fcking new york
i knew it was going to be bad, but not THAT bad. I think this is the single issue that caused THE biggest status quo change of any comic series ever! I haven't read every comic, so i can't be sure if any other issues were this massive. the first Civil War series was massive change to the MCU. I hope they are not all dead. when jean died, i cried.
It was fun while it lasted X-men fans. We can’t have W’s. It’s just like Spider-Man. For every one W there’s four L’s following right behind
Man geez 😢

This is why i cannot follow x men anymore and i grew up to the cartoon with Morph dying second episode death shouldn't be treated like this its doing the X men dirty.

When did Ms. Marvel even go through red triangle training she definitely should've went through the gates
Mad they killed the new team. Mad they keep jobbing Juggernaut. Not mad at this issue. This was an Astonishing one-shot.
I haven't been as shocked and infuriated by a comic since Magneto pulled out Wolverines adamantium in X-Men #25 way back in the 90's and at least I was a teen then so that shock was explainable. I am infuriated because so many powerful mutants and the writers didn't even make them put up a valiant fight. I mean come on I know Nimrod is powerful and Orchis has studied the X-Men through and through. we went in expecting an Orchis victory of some kind, but this level of devastation...wow. so many powerful mutants just defeated too easily. the seeds sown prior with Magik I can understand. the jean grey death I can understand, but ice-man no way. you have an omega level mutant that can grown to incredible heights and transmute his body to mist and he gets handled so easily, he could literally flash freeze everything there to zero kelvin in a second without blinking. him alone should have given Orchis hell. where was Bishop and the war college crew, where are all the fighters like warpath and greycow. I'm excited for the future to see how this plays out, but I'm disappointed in the outcome for the mutants. I think their mindset should be "who cares if the world hates and fears us" lets give them reason to fear us more now. and the first on that kill list should be Moira. if she is not dead by next February the X-Men writers are doing something wrong. I'm just angry. plus there was a wolverine there, that's worth at least 100 kills.
Where is Legion??? Where’s Xodus? Why didn’t Xavier just shut down every enemies mind? Savage Hulk has trouble with Hulk but Nimrod can take him down??? So many problems with these books.
@@ronaldbaxter5499 legion disappeared a few months ago in legion of x. it was all pre-planned by Orchis. Exodus left through the gate trying to protect the Five i believe. and I understood how they managed to compromise Xavier due to having held him hostage and unexpected. although i agree with your point, that being a such a powerful telepath (although he is not omega level not to my knowledge) he should have been able to react more quickly or at least been able to move everyone's mind to the astral plane where he and the other psychic would have a decided advantage ability wise. its just shocking that the X-Men have other heavy hitters and people whom can combine powers to great effect (i forgot the official terminology for it) and they get hulked smashed by nimrod. but i hope this leads to a more black ops type of X-men and I know Cyclops will develop into a magneto type character after this, the signs have been there a while. and of course if Magneto does come back, then its game on.
I agree. The book was good, but where were the a -list mutants? Wolverine, Bishop, Exodus, Forge, Firestar did the engage Nimrod. Where were they?
@@michaelallwood9010- I haven’t been keeping up with numerous books. It just frustrates me that you have a country of mutants and they get taken down by some machines and old ladies. I’m salty because these are the guys I grew up with.
Forget Charles. Where’s Shadow King? Did he just so happen to be off world too?
@@michaelallwood9010- And let’s be honest… Iceman isn’t going to just turn into a puddle and bones like that. He can freeze the core of the Earth and went out like a sucker.
Wished the k era lasted at least 10 years. As soon as it came its gone now. POC needed this. And now its gone smh
So another "mutant massacre"? This is just getting redundant & stupid at this point.
I wanna know why Krakoa didn’t defend itself 🤨😏🤔…???
Where was Tempo!?
I don't think all those mutants are dead. Destiny went through those gates willingly, and I don't think she'd do that if she knew she was going to die. All it takes is Manifold getting in touch with Lactuca again to find and portal everyone back. On the topic of resurrection, I think they already have the base on how to by sure there's no further Sinister hidden features: Rasputin IV, she was made by Sinister, but deliberately had all the stuff Sinister could use to manipulate her removed to avoid the Sinister Council from having control. If Forge was already able to remove the stuff he could find, I'm certain he can invent a way to check a sample's integrity to the known non-tampered standard that is Rasputin IV.
I got a feeling that they're probably in the white hot room somewhere. Destiny said that all she saw was a big white nothing and Jean's seemingly gonna be reunited with the Phoenix Force.
@@4eyes2killingyou Wouldn't that require them to have some sort of protection? When we saw the mutant circuit S.W.O.R.D. used to harvest mysterium from the white hot room, Armor's power was a requirement for them to just exist there.
@alguemalguem probably. But being that this is the X-Men they'll probably find some way around it or something.
So are the eternals coming to help or what? They made an agreement. Think we'll see uranos v nimrod?
Also, if Genesis really wants to show her strength, she should challenge nimrod, then she'll have more of a claim to rule arako.
@@jackwhitetron I don't remember the details, but I think all that Zuras offered the mutants was one hour worth of Uranos. I did think of that for opposing Genesis, as a way to go "see how you like what we've been through". I wonder if the Arakki would consider him a weapon, since Genesis is also wielding Annihilation as the staff, which grants her the Amenthi hordes. Access to him should also mean access to his armoury. I didn't consider pitting him against Nimrod though. I think this would require them being all in on the complete destruction of everything Orchis, and I don't think they're willing to go full destruction there. Besides, we already saw that Uranos fails to spot check, with members of the Great Ring faking their deaths and surviving a while longer, and Orchis is smart enough to trying pulling something like that.
NimRod from God moment best/worst in X-Men history.
Anyone left should just go release the children of the Vault🤣
Jubilee got two shot. Give my girl some credit.😂
Also what's up with Beast? Isn't he still on earth with his mech full of wolverines?
so, is Blink not still alive? Im pretty sure they have other teleporters
This better be a fake-out becuase following up Krakoa with ANOTHER mutant genocide? I can't take it. The mutants are a metaphor for marginalized communities and all Marvel can think of to do them is suffering upon suffering, it's why people were getting tired of Daredevil until Mark Waid injected some happiness. Hickman bringing in Krakoa felt like such a RELIEF! Mutants coming together as a community, standing up for themselves, policing themselves, being a power player in the universe. And then other writers started drilling holes in the boat as soon as it hit water.
the holes were drilled when this was very first introduced. did you not pay attention to house of X or any issue since
i admit i passed on the two previous galas because i didn't think much of them, but HOLY TOLEDO - - - when people say, "that's crazy", THIS is not THAT crazy... this completely changes EVERYTHING. they say it's not THE END of the Krakoan Era, and I hope that's right, because i'm not ready to go back to the mansion.
... that said, and while we still need conflict, i was hoping for all things X (save for undone twitter), to have a LITTLE more time up on top as a nation to be reckoned with.
... at the same time, i worry for the day mutants "win" and any opposition is met with "remember those previous mutant massacres?" moments, clearing mutantdom of any accusations of being an apartheid, and letting them run roughshod against whomever they like.
The whole time I was thinking "where the hell is manifold in all this?" I mean destiny and Moira made him such a big deal
Nimrod was the literal Juggernaut in this issue.
Mutants start to thrive then Marvel tears it all down rinse repeat
Why did they have to kill off Jean Grey again 😒
Back to a previous vid, Blerd mentioned possible Horsemen for -[A]-
Perhaps Apoc approaches Cyclops and offers to restore his legs in return to be his Horseman(like he did with Sunfire). Then recruits other major surviving Mutants.
Apocalypse/-[A]-/Revelation has a different mentality from his past that the X-Men may be willing to follow.
Apoc is also in possession of a Gate seed and has also shown to have the power within him to open a gate.
I think Apocalypse can be an important player here considering his history with X-Men and Mutants...
Nice video as always 👍
So much about this story begs for explanation. Any number of those mutants could e a world great, any combination could devastate a planet- but somehow thy can almost never defend their island nation. Couldn’t Tempo turn time back before the attack? With all the elephants- if the couldn’t union the leaders of Orchis, they could have at least kept an eye on the people working for Orchis to piece together the plans of Orchis.
Sins of sinister showed the mutants dominating the universe, but in a moment- zap! They are gone!
And throughout this who new era storyline- I still do not understand Moira’s beef and motivation.
It was a coordinated attack that was planned quite well. I get you but Orchis went in prepared
I feal they ruin Moira she was never like that
Is Lila Cheney not around...
Mother righteous tampered with the gate with her magic and sent the mutants who went through the gates to another island and then took that island to the Astro plane without telling people so Charles thinks they are dead.
it was in the story why do people think the mutants who went through the gates are dead?.
truthfully the issue was just so rollercoaster it was easy to miss some details. but I remember seeing that part and thinking what part of the island is she at. it makes sense that you mentioned this now. very good observation. most people myself included would miss this detail because it was so caught up in the emotional aspect.
Maybe tempest was able to save the 5, her and Exodus both have teleporting powers, hopefully there's still a chance they aren't done for.
