The original. If you listen to the full original recording (or even just the open and closing themes) you will note first half (the opening theme) is fast and hurried - suggesting the rushing of the ambulance and the staff as the patient arrives at the hospital. The second half (or closing theme) is slower and calmer, suggesting either that the panic is over and the patient is either recovering or has died. Also, the drum beat on the original symbolising the heart beat and the electronic "bleeping" sound suggesting the heart monitor - all of which is lost in the modern versions
@@tomarse99 That was still the original theme although possibly a slightly different recording to episode 1 - but very much the same compared to the ones now.
Original theme is just so friggin cool
The current one sounds so similar to the original ❤❤❤
Like the slow pace of the original opening credits and theme. Bring that aspect back.
Doesn't fit the show, too casual (in the other way, lol) and too upbeat.
i think the theme, especially the opening title footage are long overdue another revamp, keep the “Casual+y” logo text though :)
Ahhhh memories 😍
Why were my original comments removed? But Holby is a real place, after all.
Agree because everyone knows that Holby City and Wyvern are real-life locations like in Casualty!!
Can we have a double episode to make up for these weeks without casualty please
Should do a 40 year documentary behind the scenes 😉
I love both of the theme tunes of Casualty
More than two
Which version do you like the most?

The mid 1990's closing theme, hands down. ua-cam.com/video/Oyre_ngEUec/v-deo.html

The bassline of the new one represents the heartbeat, and the sine-beeping at the end represents the heart monitor.
