I love that they've improved their science units. I honestly wasn't a fan of putting them together myself. I love that they listen to their customers. Everything I've ever disliked about the good and the beautiful they have changed.
My 5 year old is starting the Paleontology lessons with me, we are on lesson 2. I put the journal away to save for when he’s older and we do this with his little sisters in many years. We obviously are doing it slowly lesson 2 has taken us 2 Fridays but he LOVES this! I had to limit him to 3-5 dinosaurs/animals in the read alouds each week… We’ve already read them all once haha. How did your family like it?
Ashlee, I’m so thankful for you. My home has been so blessed by you. My conviction is stronger as a home educating momma, my home school is more rich and has found its rhythm, and my heart is spurred on into greater maturity as a Christ follower, in part to your leadership and wisdom from afar. Thank you so much. I loved seeing your Montana shirt today! Our family of six moved to Bozeman back in August, and we love it! Should you ever choose to bring your RV out this way (We have the Museum of the Rockies, which would be an awesome field trip for paleontology!), we’d have spot in our driveway with a mountain view for you guys to enjoy! Keep up the great work for the kingdom! I’ll be praying for your family. Much love to you.
We’re loving Motion and Simple Machines! I purchased it without hesitation the minute I received the email that it dropped. The updates to the science units couldn’t be any better👏🏻I’m excited for the new history and the continued updates to LA.
I just wanted to jump on and whole heartedly advocate for the improvements TGTB has made! We are a family that had previously turned away from TGTB in search of other curricula due to the original format of the math and how quickly the younger levels of L.A. moved through reading concepts-it was just overwhelming for my kiddos and brought far more tears than one would expect from something beautiful! But after a year of fumbling through piecing other things together for math and language arts, I gave the newly revised math and L.A. a try and boy has it made a difference! I would also suggest to anyone and everyone to UTILIZE THE PLACEMENT TESTS! Anyway, we’re LOVING using TGTB in our homeschool now, we’re using it for ALL our subjects again (we never stopped using the science or history 😉) for my 7th and 3rd grader 🥰🤩
I love the new language arts. My daughter is a struggling learner with special needs and we started the new level 1 today. It is fantastic! We completed the old level 1 last year but I felt like she wasn’t quite ready to move on to level 2. The new level 1 bridges a gap especially for struggling learners with the booster cards and books which really focus on each new sound more thoroughly than the prior level did. I’m planning to quickly move through the new level 1 doing 2-3 lessons per day before moving on to the new level 2 later this year.
How do you feel the math 6 compares to other math programs you have used? I keep hearing it is not as through as others and jumps around too much...thoughts? Feedback...
I purchased the Paleontology unit too. I plan to use it 2nd or 3rd quarter to give us a boost when the eagerness of a new year wears off. The safety unit looks great too. I purchased the new Level 1. I like the updates they made over the last edition. My daughter is already a fabulous reader after completing Level K, but we took a long time to get through it. I provided constructive feedback a few times.
I’d love to see you set up this unit. I can not wrap my mind around the change. Are there you still cutting pages out of the bound course book? It seems like a binder is unnecessary now. 🤷🏽♀️
I love this new release and I really like how you've shown what changes have been made to improve ! I'm so disappointed though that the grades are now starting 3rd and up .. my rising kinder age child loves loves loves dinosaurs.. I wonder do you think that I am able to work the units go better fit my younger children?
It can still be done with youngers. They changed the ages since they created science for little hands and hearts specifically for the younger age group!
Do you know if the Paleontology unit agrees with the science from Answers in Genesis, whom I believe is one of the leading Christian authorities on dinosaurs? I don't want to teach my kids about erroneous dinosaurs that were made up by evolutionists. My tone of questioning is sweet here, I promise. Haha! Thank you.
I loved putting the science units together, I too like displaying vocab laminated to reuse again in the future but I totally agree on the student journal done and so nice with 3 hole punched for binders. Oh I didn’t realize when I got the Paleontology in it said “3-8” thank you for pointing it out.
I was at a convention a few days ago and the Safety wasn't there. 😞 It looks great. I hope to get it from their website. It was fun chatting with the rep.
Thank you so much for the informative video - excited for the new safety course! I wish The Good and The Beautiful would do a whole course on Drug Awareness - including over the counter drugs, gummies, cigarettes and alcohol - as I can't seem to find any one that does a homeschool curriculum for Drug Awareness for Middle grades.
We got the little learners nature study! For my pre-K and 2nd graders! We started it yesterday to do through the summer. My kids are loving it! Also, I love your montana shirt 🥰
I really appreciate that they revamped the Language Arts K curriculum. My daughter has ADHD and is struggling with reading, and I was wondering how she would handle this level for the coming year.
We are loving the paleontology unit and honestly I wish I would have gotten the level 7/8 book for my soon to be 4th grader bc we are finding it super fun and want to dig deeper. Definitely something that can be done with younger learners. My 4 year old is also joining in on the fun! Thank you for your thoughts :)
Thank you for another great video! I always look forward to them. Are you going to be selling or giving the language course away? If so, I would be interested. 😊
I love the new unit. It's on our shelf for this fall. The only thing I wish they did was put all items that needed to be cut apart inside the journals verses the teachers guide. It's too pretty and I don't want to tear anything out.
Could you do a flip through of the LA level K? I have a kinder aged kiddo and would love to see the newer version! Thank you! I will be doing the safety unit as well this year, I’m excited! If you plan todo a giveaway for the LA K, please include me :)
I'm with you. You still need to cut things out and store which was much easier with the diy binder system. Also if you like to laminate certain things for durability the binder just doesn't work.
I like the new content and format but I must admit, I'm not such a fan of them revising the other units to be 3-8. This is our first year using TGATB (grade 1) and going through all of the units and picking the ones we wanted to do was very fun! They have so many great ones. I guess my hope is that they take a while to revise the older units so we'll still be able to grab some of the other units we want to do for second grade before they turn them all to third grade and up.
I love that they've improved their science units. I honestly wasn't a fan of putting them together myself. I love that they listen to their customers. Everything I've ever disliked about the good and the beautiful they have changed.
Me too! It’s my favorite thing about them!

Oooooh!! Thank you for this!
We’re loving Motion and Simple Machines! I purchased it without hesitation the minute I received the email that it dropped. The updates to the science units couldn’t be any better👏🏻I’m excited for the new history and the continued updates to LA.
Can older students do these independently?

Cool! Thanks for sharing their new stuff. BTW- I LOVE the hole throw blanket on your bed.

I disagree. Full review Will be at the end of the year once we use it.

Excited about the upcoming school year with all the new G&B curriculums!
2 minutes 16 seconds in and I screamed… “Agghhhh…. I love it!!!!” 😂
Hahah I felt the same!
What do I do If my kids are 4th grader and a kindergarten? Will I still be able to teach them same thing?
We are switching to this curriculum this year and are so excited!
Can not wait to use the the new science! 🦖🦕
Thanks for this update! I've been seriously contemplating switching to this Curriculum and you've just made my decision easier,👍
I’d love to see you set up this unit. I can not wrap my mind around the change. Are there you still cutting pages out of the bound course book? It seems like a binder is unnecessary now. 🤷🏽♀️
Correct: no prep required
Love everything they release!❤️🙌 Can’t wait for the revised history course!
Me too!
When are the new science units going to be available?
Reptiles and safety already are. Head over to their website

YES. This makes my heart sing. I loved our science unit but i was dreading putting it all together and copying.

So excited about the new format! My husband loves the idea of the cyber book, he works in cybersecurity.
I was at a convention a few days ago and the Safety wasn't there. 😞 It looks great. I hope to get it from their website. It was fun chatting with the rep.
I’m curious if you know if they will be releasing high school Language arts 4????
No they will not
Thank you Ashley!! Purchased the revised Safety unit!

I wish I had littles to do it with!
Always wondered about the safety science…. So ordering that and excited to do it with my son💕💕
I bought the old Kindergarten Language Arts and the very next day they released the new one! Lol but I'm excited to use it nonetheless!
I wish there was a hint or something from TGTB if they will be doing more Little Hearts and Hands units and a time line.
Love the new safety course! Adding that one to my list for this coming year. Thanks for sharing, Ashlee!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!

So great!
Can you give me a rough idea of how long a science lesson takes? Trying to decide if it would fit in our morning time.
Can you review palentology after you finish it?
Sure!
Thank you for this video. Are the student journals the same but with lesson extensions or are they different worksheets?
They are similar but not identical!
Does TGATB teach paleontology from an old earth or young earth stance?
I guess I didn’t wait long enough lol.
I was actually wondering how this unit looks compared to AIG. We have Dinos for kids by Ken Hamm and love how he approaches it.
Regarding the LA K - which would you say they emphasize more - phonics or memorizing sight words?
Phonics
Does the teacher book tell you when to read the books that go along?
No it doesn’t. They are listed at the front for optional read alouds. Then in the lessons it says optional read aloud.
Thank you for another great video! I always look forward to them. Are you going to be selling or giving the language course away? If so, I would be interested. 😊
I did a giveaway already but will have more!

That’s true!

I already did the giveaway! But I will have more!
I must be the only one who doesn’t love spiral bound at all! I wish they would have left the science the way it was! I know I’m in the minority!
I'm with you. You still need to cut things out and store which was much easier with the diy binder system. Also if you like to laminate certain things for durability the binder just doesn't work.

They can still be used!
