    Bonjour. Oui, j'ai utilisé cette huile dans la transmission manuelle Hyundai Tucson 1.7 et j'ai obtenu un excellent résultat. Les changements de vitesse sont devenus fluides. Quant au joint, n'importe quel joint en aluminium de 16 mm peut être utilisé. une huile parfaite

    • @TheMissingBolt
      @TheMissingBolt  8 місяців тому

      Bonjour! En effet, mon ami est également satisfait du comportement de sa boîte de vitesses avec la nouvelle huile. J'ai utilisé Ravenol pour toutes les applications au cours des 3 dernières années et elles se sont toutes très bien comportées jusqu'à présent. En ce qui concerne le joint, je préfère le joint d'origine car je ne sais pas si l'alliage d'aluminium d'un joint standard à usage général est suffisamment souple pour créer une étanchéité appropriée.

    Bonjour monsieur, j'habite en Angleterre et je voudrais savoir quelle huile de boite manuelle me conseillé a mettre pour une kia picanto 1.2l 2014 essence et aussi combien de litre a mettre? Merci d'avance

    • @TheMissingBolt
      @TheMissingBolt  6 днів тому

      Bonjour! La Kia Picanto 1.2 de 2014 utilise la boîte de vitesses manuelle M5EF2, qui nécessite 1,9 à 2 litres d'huile avec une viscosité 75W85 et un indice API GL-4, selon le manuel d'utilisation.

    Do You know size of this gasket in cm?.

      I don't have the old washer available to measure it, but you can remove the fill / level bolt and washer from your box, measure its size and then put it back (reusing the washer one time shouldn't cause any problems, especially on the fill bolt).

    Does it help to remove the front tyer to fill the gear box

    • @TheMissingBolt
      @TheMissingBolt  6 місяців тому

      It definitely gives you more room to work, but be careful to firmly secure your car on a jack-stand if you want to remove the wheel for this procedure.

    Would you happen to know where I can get these washers from? I searched the web and i cant find anything with the same part no. in the UK

    • @TheMissingBolt
      @TheMissingBolt  2 місяці тому +1

      I got them genuine from a local Kia dealer. If that's not available, one alternative is to buy a copper washer set and pick from it 2 washers of the closest size to the original ones.

      For this manual transmission no, there's no filter to replace.

      Hopefully this year I'll get a chance to do another full service (oil and filters) and this one should include spark plugs as well. So stay tuned! 😃

    Salutare, am si eu aceasta masinuta (primita mosternire eu mai avand si un i30 2020)...stiu ca sa schimbat kit de ambieaj la 175000, masina avand acum 205000 face putine figuri...cu motorul rece intra greu intr-a-n 1a , dupa circa 10-15 minute de mers cu ea intra relativ bine, crezi ca poate fii din cauza uleiului ?

    • @TheMissingBolt
      @TheMissingBolt  11 місяців тому +1

      Salutare! Da, este posibil. Daca uleiul nu a fost schimbat niciodata sau a fost schimbat cu unul mai gros decat cere producatorul, se poate ca la rece el sa fie prea vascos ca sa asigure o intrare lina in viteza. O data ce apare miscare in cutie (pe masura ce mergi cu masina), vascozitatea uleiului scade pe masura ce el se incalzeste de la frecarile din cutie. Dat fiind kilometrajul masinii si fiind vorba de o cutie manuala, un schimb de unei s-ar putea sa rezolve problema. Eu am avut ceva similar la Opel, unde am pus un ulei prea gros (75W90) si tot asa, intra greu in treptele 1 si 2 la rece; am rezolvat problema cand am trecut la un ulei mai subtire (75W).

    is gearbox and differential basically the same or there is different fluid that goes into diff ?

    • @TheMissingBolt
      @TheMissingBolt  9 місяців тому

      They are both combined into one unit (it's technically a transaxle). So the same oil is used for both the transmission and the differential.

      @@TheMissingBolt one more question,could you tell me is it possible to change valve stem seals on this engine if head is still on the block without valve dropping into combustion chamber if you put piston on TDC ?

    • @TheMissingBolt
      @TheMissingBolt  9 місяців тому

      @@tubeyou1216As far as I know, it should always be possible to change the valve stem seals without having to remove the head, on pretty much every engine. Since you need to remove the cams in order to access the seals, all valves are retracted and you should be able to turn the crankshaft more easily to bring each piston at TDC as you need. But for the particular details about this Cee'd engine I'd go for a second opinion from an experienced Kia technician, if possible.

    Wow i drained mine in my 2012 hyundai ix35 with 135k kms and it was black ! With metal shavings in it too !!

    • @TheMissingBolt
      @TheMissingBolt  2 місяці тому

      It's recommended to not go past 100K km without changing the transmission oil. Having said that, a very small amount of very fine metal shavings (with a glittery aspect) is expected, since there's always a very small amount of grinding of the synchros whenever gears get changed.

    • @Italianborn
      @Italianborn 2 місяці тому +1

      @@TheMissingBolt i haven’t had the car since brand new so i could only do it now..and isn’t automatic, therefore there is no trasmission , is only a closed gear box, and it wasn’t small shaving 🥵🤦‍♂️ there was actually some small metal grinding in there..i hope i wouldn’t have issue

    • @TheMissingBolt
      @TheMissingBolt  2 місяці тому +1

      @@Italianborn I'm wondering if you've encountered many times where you had difficulty engaging gears - that kind of forced griding would indeed result in larger metal shavings... and it typically indicates that the clutch doesn't fully disengage when changing gears. Is this the case?

    • @Italianborn
      @Italianborn 2 місяці тому

      @@TheMissingBolt the clutch it’s so freaking tight on this car you have no idea, as soon as you let go of the pedal it goes..i’ve always known that usually the clutch goes bad when the car moves when you almost let completely go of the pedal, but anyway when i step on gas the rpm and vehicle go well, there’s no hesitation on the engine , when rpm go up the engine goes also up so that is a good sign at least..never mind it all right now i’m having another issue . P0299 , underboost turbo, i’ve checked intake hoses, turbo actuator, cleaned sensors and throttle body which was really build up in carbon residue..the last owner must have treated this vehicle really poorly..🤦‍♂️

    • @Italianborn
      @Italianborn 2 місяці тому

      Now should take the intercooler off to clean it and ultimately see if changing turbo will fix it but i can’t spend days trying to find the issue with a car in the driveway all apart..so this time i would have to a mechanic and unfortunately leave it up to them..
