Halo 2 is one of the few games I owned growing up before online games and I played the shit out of the campaign. I still do legendary runs without exploits like the plasma pistol often. Often avoid using the plasma rifle too. It's not easy but doable. Good grenade placement and slowly keeping their shields from recharging while letting yours charge... If you can get in close to melee, EZ. Dodge their and hit them in the back. It helps if you play it over and over for years and memorize every encounter. Lol
@@Dartht33bagger The only difficulty I have with this category is how do you handle the areas with infinite enemies, like some segments on Oracle and the gandola ride on Quarantine Zone? Do you have to kill a certain amount of those, or not because any enemies you kill will respawn anyways?

THIS, this is something i've been looking for, a lot, i've seen others games being beaten on the highest difficulty so skillfully and without skips that i wanted to see it in Halo games too. There are some good ledendary playthroughs but none like this (that i've found). I actually got into watching halo 1, 2, 3 speedruns while looking for it, but man this is something else. This type of run is very useful for people who want to make it over par score and par time at the same time... Runners should enable competitive scoring before the runs because it also shows the time, and the scoring can help showing enemies you've killed but haven't seen them die, like throwing a grenade at a jackal sniper and looking away to do a trick.
This poor man knows the placement of every enemy down to the running patterns, I can only imagine the amount of times he’s done this, Godspeed my friend 😔

Someguy1237 I used to be insanely good at Halo 1 as a kid, I have no clue how I got through the Library on legendary without knowing any of the tricks to make it easier.
There are, doom eternal iirc had a 100% where you have to literally kill everything. It's interesting to see, I think this is why some halo games are preferred over others, in CE and reach you have to be literally exceptional at combat if you want to go for good times, lot's of unavoidable gunfights in those games. This is why PC is preferred for CE, there are a lot of level's that will provide a shit ton of advantage with mouse and keyboard. T&R especially, sniper with mouse is op.
There are speedruns types where you have to kill all the enemies and not use glitches. I think they're more interesting because there's a level of randomness, and it is a true demonstration of skill on the part of the runner with how well they react to it. Take the example of the part where rocats is fighting through the atrium with the plasma canons. He almost got killed by that elite major when he was going up the stairs. However, he reacted quickly, and put himself in a position to keep pushing without dying. That's a demonstration of true skill.
