As one of the Choir of Talisay City Contingent since 2019, this is so far my favourite one in Musicality.💕🥰

It was a closed fight between CarCar and Talisay. Talisay gave us a beautiful concept which is the Tribute to the victims of Bagyong Odette during Christmas last 2021. Same with CarCar rice price increased experience happened last year. Both concept are amazing. But we cannot deny the fact that CarCar gave us a simple production yet a clean and very impressive executions when it comes to dancers. Another one is their musicality very goosebumps especially the last part. Talisay productions very impressive from first part to last part but there is something lack on their movements when it comes to gracefulness of the girls and boys maybe no time for the polishing because of the pasabog props but I can say that this is the first time that both contingents gave us a closed fight, you cannot easily judged who will be the Champion on this big competition. I think this is the Best Performance of Talisay City in the History of Sinulog (Sinulog Based Category) athag kaayo ang Concept.
Kudos to all the Choreographers, Dancers, Production Staff of both Contingents Talisay and CarCar.
It's those big props that ruined this performance for me. The grand champion for this category used tables and all but they served a purpose and even though they just wheeled in those tables, they did it with urgency while the "viva pit senyor" sign used here feels like it's out of placed and seems to me was wheeled in with hesitation. The Santo Niño heads were unnecessary too. That huge yellow platform that is the body of Santo Niño is an eyesore. The way the girls were introduced @2:50 was nice and their hand movements in some parts were captivating. Wish they minimized the use of those Santo Niño heads (big or small) in SB category. If they use it, wish they use it with class and purpose and not just to gain score because they used it.
I'm an atheist but I do like religious festivals like this one. I feel more devotion in their dancing than in their props. I feel like dancing not because of those props but because of how well they danced and how well they were choreographed.
The Sinulog 2019 was great too, sadly the judges felt it was too creepy?
This is a big come back for Talisay, to be honest. I am moved from their concept to tribute the victims of the Bagyong Odette adapted from the concept of Baranggay Cuanos last Sugat sa Kabanhawan 2022. This performance was fire! And that "Ang Pasko ay Sumapit" at the exit gave everything! The props, and even the musicality ✨slayed✨ its opponents. No doubt, baka mag-champion itong Talisay.
This is the best entry of Talisay City so far. Dakog chance kani makadaog. Hmmm na notice ra nako na same ang concept sa Mandaue ug kani but Talisay made it more beautiful and satisfying! Basta between Carcar and Talisay ra jud na.
I think, ang kinaiba ng Mandaue at Talisay ay 'yong delivery and to my notice, Talisay was focused on recalling the events of Bagyong Odette while Mandaue was a different matter. The one similar to this concept is Lapu-Lapu city, I think. (Just exclude the "Christmas" part.)

Are we ignoring the fact nga nangopya silas carcar 2019? Ang transitions and hand props palang daan. Hahaha i get that this is SB category and di jud malikayan nga magkapareha ug routined. But girl ang transitions sa pag gawas sa mga male dancers plus the hand routines are very carcar. Ang authentic talisay nalang siguro ani kay ang fast hand movement nila

For me mao ni ang sinulog based category na close fight ang nag champion and 2nd place. Both deserving jud mkadaog. Siguro nkalamang sa Carcar kay ang choreography. Carcar kay Transitions are smooth, limpyo sad ang sayaw nya including ang execution sa props limpyo sad. But mao ni so far ang pinka nindot na performance sa Talisay for the past years.
For Carcar, they checked all the tickboxes thus making them eventual champions. Carcar delivered class, sophistication, and elegance. Add to that the cutesy movements (kiay-kiay sa boys) which was a welcome addition to break monotony.

@@hanieltuanzon5868 sir para makasabot lang ka ha. Ang kalahian sa Sinulog Based og Free Interpretation kay sa costume. Makabantay ka sa Sinulog Based ilang gi sul ob sa lalaki barong then saya sa mga babae. Kumbaga formal ilang gipang sul ob. Then ang traditional nga sinulog sa kandila makita jud na pirme sa Sinulog Based. Other than that Free Interpretation na na sya. hope nakasabot ra ka :)
