Thanks for reminding me about phonetic zoo! I’m thinking that we may go that route for spelling. Would like to hear more about your geography program… I’m actually going to research it next. Thanks
Good morning! I really enjoyed your video and transparency on your choices! We are having to shell out worldly wise as well from this school year. But we can try to complete next year as well. Also I wanted to recommend spelling city. You use it along with your curriculum. My son was hating spelling, even when I split his lost into Thirds (5 words each)! Try the free version as long as you can. He is asking me to buy the full version bc there’s more games. Plus as a mom you can track the progress and assign things to them. I’m also going to look into teaching the classics! That’s perfect for not having to buy a literature guide every time we find a book to do a study on!
Thank you! We did try spelling city for a while when we were doing Spectrum spelling lists, I may have to try it again since Phonetic Zoo has lists. Thanks for the reminder!
We love all things CLE! We also will be using some iew materials. And for Spanish we’re going to try master books academy Spanish for families. It’s supposed to be great for the entire family. I just subscribed and also have a channel mainly about homeschooling. So fun to meet more homeschooling mommas that use similar materials.
I would love to know how Master Books Academy Spanish goes! I saw someone say that it is better for younger kids. Thanks for subscribing! I will check out your channel!
We love the phonetic zoo. Great choice. I made mine start at the beginning last year and told them once they were done with level C, I wouldn't make them do spelling anymore...they are excited about that. I am interested in teaching the classics as well...just haven't decided yet. Planning to get Guest Hollow as well for geography. We are doing a spring sampler from Redefining School for lit. She also has writing I hear...it's gentle and nice and she emails you everything you need - something maybe to think about. We like her lit class
It is the Interactive Vocabulary Notebook for Grades 4-5 from I'm Lovin' Lit. I believe I picked it up at Mardel a few years back. Here is a link for an ebook version: www.carsondellosa.com/105002-eb--interactive-vocabulary-notebook-resource-book-grade-4-5-ebook-105002-eb/

My kids used both levels of those interactive notebooks! We played games with flash cards and it was my sons fav games this past year

There are so many choices it is so hard to decide! Redefining School looks great, but it is a bit out of our budget.
My son is doing 7th this year. Zoology sounds fun.
What is the vocabulary called?
