What I will do after finishing my other 8bit is to do for the moment some mashup with my remix 8bit one per day! ;)
Fun fact. It took 2 people to play one piano for all the themes cause the notes required were to way to fast for 1 person. So its way easier to make 8 bit music than it was back in the day
This actually fits so well. This Champion theme was always meant to be this big Nostalgia trip for a big hit game. Basing it off Gen 1 and 2 was a good move, while keeping it fresh. This fits so well in 8 bit.
This is a parallel universe where it is still 90's and GameFreak is making games and +Pokeli is making the music in 8-bit versions. There technology is not advanced but the music is so much ADVANCED and AMAZING!!!! Nice job Mr. Eli
This is amazing, from the sprites to the music kinda missed the opportunity to do it from Kukui's/Hau's point of view since they're fighting the Champion but it's still great nonetheless

This theme always sounds glorious like you've actually got to the top of the trainer echelon. That's why it's my 3rd favourite one. Only surpassed by more personality-driven themes like Cynthia's and Iris' themes. Also the intro is very Lance-like, and that's my favourite part of Lance's champion theme.
The end of a literal generation with a battle against the spiritual successor of Professor Oak, that's what I think of when I hear this. Sycamore may have the honor of being the first Professor to actually be battled, but the rite of *Final Boss* was ultimately passed on to Kukui(And even then, it's possible that with only 5 Pokemon, Oak was originally meant to pull a 'Lance', with President Silph, having 6 Pokemon and ties to Team Rocket to be the True Champion, whose to say Blue even existed at that point in development? ), and it was glorious, Rowan's now number 2, for better or worse. Hau's battle is the beginning of the next 20 years, taking the 'old' Champion's Theme and blending it into his to, as Hala put it: *"Create something truly original"* . Both SuMo & USUM leave a few things to be desired, for one reason or another imo, but I'll be treasuring my time spent in Alola for the rest of my life. *HERE'S TO ANOTHER GLORIOUS 19 YEARS!*

I think Alola's Champion theme being a redux of the main theme is one of the best musical decisions Game Freak has ever made.
