- Leaving Tupelo, MS, the weather was less than great. The temperature had dropped and I chanced the rain all the way to Huntington, WV. On the final day of the trip, I had planned to ride some of the epic West Virginia mountain roads but the 35 degree temps, wet asphalt and fog lead me back to the interstate which I had to take the rest of the way home. Ultimately, it was a great late year trip that was a lot of fun.

Another nice trip. Easy to watch. Thanks.
you make me want to go back make some year old footage of my visit to Tennessee in 2022. thanks. so many nice places to visit
met a guy last night that told me about your channel, so i am here i think. he lives in western PA and also rides with you. he travels doing things with old buildings to do with the military. nice fella and i am looking forward to exploring your channel. new subber!
Rain and temps in the 30's has to be about the most miserable riding conditions I can think of (outside of freezing rain that is, ran into that once but near enough to home I was able to turn around and get back safely). Don't blame you a bit for opting for the faster route home. Liked seeing the "Mystery Hole" there when you were on 60. Good thing you caught that chain issue, must say I'm surprised it got that loose on you (we won't talk about what my Bonnie's chain looked like once).
Thanks for the video
That ride reminds me of most of my rides here on the Far-Nor-Cal Coast.
In my late 50's, it's electric gear and Hippo Hands in the colder months and as much as I complain about the Tech on bikes, rain mode has saved my bacon a few times on crappy roads.
In your video I saw the Mystery Hole on rt 60, I saw that place when I was a kid, it must have been there at least 60 years. Thanks for the videos, I always find your road trips interesting.
glad you got home safely. get some heated riding gear....it will come in handy as much time as you spend on the road.
Got some heated gloves delivered. Gonna stick with layers for everything else. It was only my hands that ever got cold.
Such a fantastic state to ride. If you're a rider and havent been to WV, you're going about life wrong.
Nice ride, hate you had all the rain.
That Quality Inn sign in Lewisburg looks very familiar. The Wild and Wonderful Weekend trip was fun even though I didn’t have a “touring” bike at the time.
Thought maybe you’d recognize that. 😂
Bahahah, a cold November ride. That's funny. Here is NEPA, it gets down to the teens. Especially now in January. I ride all winter. As long as there's no snow. Im riding. 60 degrees is shorts and T shirt weather for me.
Man We love the Trace. Stay on it for 18 days at the free campgrounds, a lot to explore. People lending a helping hand...The biker community is the best. Nice trip.
Great trip Mario! Has anyone ever hit hail on a ride? I got hit with some hail a few years back and it put my balls in my throat, felt like I was slipping around a bit and immediately pulled over. I guess heavy hail isn't rideable?
Was a nice trip but it is always nice to be home again.
Enjoyed this trip, Mario. I just did the Natchez back in October when a friend and I rode out to Austin for the F1 weekend. I've also stayed at that Delta in Huntington a few times on m/c trips myself. Some good eats and hangout spots around there. Funny hearing you mention the MARRC corner worker. I was with MARRC for over 13 years until I moved to Alabama.
enjoyed the trip..Sister didn't join this time....
She did her own in September.
@@2WR I do remember her travels..giddyup
