  • Leaving Birmingham, AL on the 3rd day of my (late-in-the-year) motorcycle, I headed south to until I ran out of land in Mississippi and then continued west to the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway ending up in New Orleans, LA for the day/night. The following day I left New Orleans and headed toward Natchez, MS where I picked up the Natchez Trace Parkway riding it up to Tupelo, MS for the night.

    Great video. I live about a half mile from where you got on the causeway in Mandeville. I used to cross it everyday for work.

    Wonderful Parkway, I rode it in 2008 down to New Orleans. I saw them pair of Super Cub's hanging on the back of an RV at 3:49...lol. Good stuff Mario!

    I have the 2016 model of this bike. I love it! Easy to maintain and less electronics to fail me. Would love to find that wind shield though! Looks superclean! I live in sweden and ride it in all kinds of weather. Its a relieable bike. Cheers!

    Thanks for sharing! These videos help deal with my bikes hibernating in the garage. My available time and weather never sync up the last few months.

    The Natchez Trace is amazing. Did that up in Tennessee for a hundred miles or so.

    Seeing you ride this bike...especially for so long...makes me feel REALLY good about the 2015 I just purchased, with 20K miles. It was clearly (overly) cared for and these appear to be quite durable. Looking forward to spring...

      I own a 2015 T and a 2023 R. I have tried selling the '15 to no avail. It's has only 25k miles and will probably run well over 100K miles. It's been well cared for and has had all its services. I'm thinking rather than give it away, I should just as well keep it around for my visiting bike-riding friend(s). They're great bikes.

    That's pretty much the route I'd like to take back if/when I get to ride to Barber. If all goes well I hope to do that on my vintage bike for the vintage weekend this year.

    Nice little solo trip. Where's Angela? I've gotten kind of use to seeing you both on these trips. Thought maybe she parked her Ducati under some power lines and the bike wouldn't start before you left.

    I still got a gopro 8, i probably wont go with gopro on the next camera... actually debating just selling the 8 and only use the insta360 x3. My 8 i always gotta pull the battery out to reset it.

    • @2WR
      @2WR  6 місяців тому +1

      The 8 to me was probably the worst since the lens covered can’t be replaced. Been running 9s and 10s and recently picked up a 12. Also switching to the enduro batteries to see if they help. I like my insta360 x3 but file sizes are huge and for me it’s still better as a second or 3rd option.

    I found it by accident on one of my roaming trips from AZ. I was on a ZX-14, or a Busa. The best meal was some Cajun boiled peanuts on a bench with no one around. I started on it around Nashville. I don't remember where I jumped off.
    Can you recommend that motel in New Orleans for bikes?

    • @2WR
      @2WR  6 місяців тому +1

      Fairfield Inn & Suites on Baronne St. They, Aloft and likely some others use a local public garage there but was (only) $25 to self park and seemed to be much safer than parking on the street.

    Are you still running the Rottweiler intake on your Super Adventure? Would you still recommend it? I’m thinking about doing the upgrade on my 2018 SA…

    • @2WR
      @2WR  6 місяців тому

      Yes. Depends on what u want. I would do it again and (sorta) have since I run one on my 890 ADV R as well.

      Nice, I remember your initial impressions video on it from years ago was very positive but while watching this video I was wondering if you were still running it on your bike now. It’s definitely reassuring you are still happy with it after so many miles. I think I’ll probably go ahead and get one for my SA as well. Thanks, love the videos!

    Damn, the natchez trace looks great, although I'm not too into going down to New Orleans. Where are you dead? I would love to go to the World War II Museum down there.
    That would make a great trip back north
