You are Using the WRONG TURBO | Need for Speed Heat TURBO GUIDE
In this Need For Speed Heat Guide I put the 5 turbo options through a series of tests to figure out exactly which turbo is the best all around turbo in the game. the chances are you are using the wrong turbo because the game provides stats that are completely misleading and I was able to prove it with numbers.
Thanks for watching this guide. My ultimate goal with this video is to provide you with the best knowledge I can on each of the turbo options in the game so hopefully this helps.

Normal Turbo = better high speeds
Dual Turbo = best overall in racing
Superchargers = best for drift
I agree except I would change the Normal Turbo to = Gets to top speed faster. (the difference in top speed between the single and double is less than a MPH). Thanks for watching!
Personally each aspiration type has its own advantages and draw backs two turboes smaller but easier response time Big turbo takes quite a bit more time but it makes the difference and then there is superchargers which just make a lot of noise and power all at the same time whichever one is necessary take a pick😂
I use a screw supercharger on my Miata and its a race build
Im agree my friends normal turbo in we need in Drift mod cars, for me, i love to Drift, like in Nfs UnderGround 2, in Pc, it depends on the Car we choose,, thats all,,😄
Well Superchargers are also best for muscle cars
I just use whatever sounds good😂

You could also try starting at near-redline by throttling your inputs before starting. It might be possible to achieve those 0-60 stats by keeping the wheels from spinning with red-lining the engine.
I usually use a supercharger for the instant power delivery. It helps to get the back end out better if I’m taking a corner quick
I go with what I would irl. For example, I'd supercharge a mustang or challenger but I would turbo or twin turbo a civic or lambo
Fair strategy! Thanks for watching!

@@soldierx345 I'd only pro charge a vette or mustang. I'd leave the Superchargers to the bigger bodied muscle cars aka challenger, camaro, firebirds etc.. also would pro charge a charger.

Hands down the best channel for NFS Heat on UA-cam. Every question I’ve ever had about this game can be answered in your videos. And the one I couldn’t find, you provided an answer in a private message. You’re the shit bro.
thank you so much for all of your hard work I'm sure that took hours if not days to do and your work is much appreciated the knowledge that you have given in this very competitive but also casual fun racing community has helped out me and my friends more than you know and I just wanted to add all of your work in the number crunching was incredible I know all those intelligent folks out there are going to appreciate that but what I really like and appreciate because I'm not really that intelligent is right at the end you just came out and said in your opinion the Dual turbo is the best and all of your build are going to start out that way that ending was great for those folks that need a straight answer other creators should learn from you thank you again and I hope you're having a great day.
Thank you so much for your kind words!! This video has gotten some negative comments and this really brightened my day yesterday. I appreciate you taking the time to write such a thoughtful comment and actually talked about it on my instagram. :) Thanks again!
Best NFS Heat content on UA-cam by far! Congrats man! I bought the game a week ago, currently driving the BMW M3 Evo `88 (the car you get at the start), 385 level, lvl 44 Rep, grinding to level 50 to get Ultimate Parts and needed a tutorial on turbos!
Thank you so much!!! I recently released a video on that car if your interested. ua-cam.com/video/ZGmD7PMTakU/v-deo.html
I like the dual turbo for racing on the street, usually better acceleration which is needed for those really harsh corners where you make your comeback or create distance. Superchargers work best for drift and off road racing as it keeps the power down constantly and no waiting for boost.
Thanks for watching!!
Liked and subbed just for saying that!! So refreshing to actually be the first person I’ve ever heard say that, and that’s how I do it, if I like it I like it not what they say lol.

Great video and good info. All I use is dual turbos. The lotus is an underrated car in the game
I've been thinking about building a lotus...i think i will
I've found the superchargers have different use cases that they are more effective in than the others where as the dual and single turbos are almost universal. Like the roots is more effective on the 5.7 in the trans am than the screw due to rpm limits. Roots is useful for 6k rpms and below then the screw is more useful for 6 to 7k and the procharger is only good for 7 and up.
That's awesome. Thanks for info and thanks for watching!
@@MilitiaGamingCommunity I hope you use this information to encourage the use of superchargers for a more diverse community in NFS Heat.
I use a different "turbo" depending on my car class, for example my drift cars has got the screw compressor, the night race cars has got the single turbo and so on; so i use all of them, including the natural aspiration on the offroaders.
thanks for the knowledge

I would like to see this test on a more modern 911 turbo s, since the small differences can be also caused by grip levels. Also, the fastest car is the most difficult to measure differences on. You might see bigger differences on a heavier awd car.

the instant power of the supercharger is spun away at the wheels, whereas the lag in the turbo gives you time to put the engines power down. i think if you redid this test on stock engines the 0-60 times will be as you would expect

Tbh i would have taken nos out of these tests because its an extraneous variable that only serves to decrease internal validity in the experimental results. Outside of that, im glad every turbo guide has consistent results regarding the dual turbo being best. This was the most extensive guide ive seen yet, i would just like to see it reliably recreated with results not affected by nos. Good vid. Thumbs up
+Tkoss I ran it without nos and the times themselves were different(slightly slower) but the differences between the boost options were consistent with the video so I just kept the nos. Thanks for watching and commenting I really appreciate it!!!!
A 1/4 mile is front back of patch to back of patch also the speed traps close to the dealership are a 1/4 mile apart and it records your speed for you 👀
Awesome! Thanks for the headsup! I will take note.
Hey Militia, thanks a lot for your vids! Btw if you allow me to say smethin abt your time recordings the diffs of 0.07 and 0.10 are actually human reaction time, if you were using a hand stopwatch of course.
On any given day I'm using the dual but I've started venturing off into the single turbo now :)
Perhaps the added torque downlow just caused more wheel spin and therefore a slower time.

Liked for proper use of the scientific method! I'm genuinely impressed!
Im impressed that mentioned the scientific method...a lot of people dont understand this testing. lol
I swapped to dual turbo because it has an acceleration bonus over the single turbo. I guess I was right to do so.
I like to believe that the single turbo builds a lot of boost at high speed. And still think I ain't wrong. We like the big boii boost 💪🏽
You're not wrong. I did test them at high speed...the single turbo provides the car with more power at top end but BARELY. This setup I was running topped out at 237Mph for both the single and double turbo. Thanks for watching!

Thats awesome! Thank you for the support!
Thank you so much!
i started nfs heat just the other day and i figured as much but not thru what you did here but by how the car felt overall tbh maybe it’s changed in the year since this upload
Nope. Dual is still king
I’ve primarily been using turbo and one thing Ive noticed is that the duel turbo seems to offer better recovery from 90* turns and a faster recovery from hitting things with my crappy driving. However my low end cars seem to suffer from having more speed potential than what the car is actually capable of achieving. The single turbo seems to not only help reach the top end speeds sooner but actually increase the maximum achievable speeds altogether. Im wondering if there is a way to test these two variables and see what effects the different options have when put into realistic situations. Does the optimum choice change on a bend vs a 90* turn vs U-turn vs a straight away? Or do they all perform equally in these areas as well? How could i test each turbo in each situation to see if it makes any difference? And are your results being skewed by the overwhelming power of nitrous? Do the numbers reflect similar results without nitrous?
Omg I think you and I think alike! My brain is also going crazy over these things which is why I had to simplify the video to just a straight line. Testing the turbos on curves relies to heavily on driver skill to really come up with accurate results. I did test these turbos without nitrous and the results were the same (meaning the dual turbo was better in general). Obviously the times were slower because I wasn’t spraying but the difference in times were almost exactly the same. I just didn’t record any of that footage so the nitro made it in the video. I do think the single turbo can help early game cars overcome top speed issues which can be beneficial in some races but when the car is fully upgraded with ultimate+ parts, the dual turbo always runs faster time from my experience. Anyways, thanks for the comment!!!! I appreciate your thoughts!
My only issue is not being able to turn off traffic and not a decent straight FLAT highway to go all out on for accurate testing.
I'd like that too. Nice suggestion! Thanks for watching!
Right how could a racing game not have this!?.very disappointing
When the game 1st dropped, people where complaining there wasn’t enough traffic. Lol
@@doeman35 I'm fine with the traffic now. I just wish we had the "option" to turn it off when you just wanna cruise around at low or top speed like a madman.

Just some tips regarding streaming, I would recommend giving the answer first then followed by the explanation. Try not to talk much about the numbers just keep them there if someone wants to read it. Hope to see more :)

Typically, these are based on the engine and your preference in power delivery for your car, but I'm glad someone's attempting to help people humbly. Thank you.
+Izayoi Monochrome thanks for watching
When talking about the acceleration numbers i am curious to see if drag tires would have gotten you closer to the numbers NFS claims the car will go zero to 60. Just a thought that the loss in traction could be the culprit.
Exactly Latrell! The times are off by a bit. Thanks for watching!
Latrell is right but good thoughts!!! thanks for watching!
@@MilitiaGamingCommunity The times are actually accurate. i notice that alot of people either start with no revs or too much revs. try to find the sweet spot around 4.5 - 5.5 rpm and the times will match.
@@cangwane I never understood the stupid idea of rev banging off the limiter when trying to launch a car, that never helps you get of the line quickly as you are causing the car to go above it's limits and or "sweet spot". Usually you have modern day cars that even set a specific rev limiter to launch your car at, since that's the sweet spot for it to not spin the tires of the line and lose traction and precious time, which is what probably happens in game, which makes sense when you do it at low rpm you get a slightly faster time, since it's starting to use all that power to just get the car moving instead of having it all built up too much and exploding all over the place, but at the optimal rev range it will get an even faster time obviously because it has the right amount of power output to get it moving while not losing traction, around 3500-5000 rpm depending on the car and it's rev range, and there are so many other variables including the type of race you are in, if it's a sprint race then turbo is the best option, if it's a circuit then a supercharger would be most optimal for the constant braking and getting back up to speed quickly, same with drifting and when it comes to drag racing then turbo is again the better option, but it could also depend on the distance and the car you are using and it's engine etc.
@@raionshishi8290 you seem to get it. Tbf the game isn't realistic with the forced induction options. E.g. the single turbo definition should've said more boost at high rpm vs more boost at high speed. Most cars make peak boost at gear 4/5 and it tapers off at the higher gears because of more load on the engine. Same for the superchargers, they're just not accurate there is almost no scenario where I would use the superchargers except drifting or the crew races
Same feeling, use dual turbo is efficiency in whole game

Nice to hear someone actually saying like it if you ACUTALLY LIKE IT.
I what fits your car depends on the type of build you’re hahing.
Example, if you’re building a drift car, you’ll need acceleration rather that having higher top speeds.
On sprints with long straights, it’s always better to have higher top speeds.
I've done a lot of testing since this video and by far the dual turbo is the best all around boost option. There are scenarios that fit a single turbo though so it cant be ignored.

Its all in the launch. At idle you gey traction but accelerating lacks. At redline you take off fast but lack traction so top end suffers. Nfs has always been a lanch sensitive game. Try reving a little over half and be ready to shift as soon as it hooks. One feature in the gane that is realistic and consistent.
I look for wheel spin raise your rpm’s as high as possible without any wheel spin then control your acceleration from there and you can beat the 0-60’s the game suggests
