It’s SO not that easy. She’d have to learn about the separation per color and fabric. The cycle to use with specific clothes, what not to mix together, what needs to be hand washed or dry cleaned, the best products...I mean it’s a whole process. Yes, they should be teaching her, but doing laundry is not that easy. Specifically in my country, it really isn’t.

thatkidd jennifer its simple she learned how to drive because its a need of transportation. She or her family hires a chauffeur to drive a limo to attend some famous event instead of driving herself in her on car all the way over there and food is also common in everyone's life because nobody wants to die of starvation. Maybe she uses her clothes only ones, because with a family like that there's no surprise she buys new clothes per day. She will learn how to do everything when she has moved out and not depending on her parents anymore since she has the urge to grow up so quick.

I've met plenty of people who hit adulthood who don't know how to do laundry. Probably 1/3 of incoming freshmen are close to clueless about basic chores. I had a roommate who didn't know toilets needed to be cleaned... she thought they "self-cleaned".
I had a draconian step-mother so I was essentially independent from the age of 8. But a lot of parents want their kids to focus on school work or sports instead of chores.
I've learned laundry at 8.
I've learned ironing at 11.
I've learned cooking at 12.
I've learned any house chores at 5.
Now I'm 14. And she's 18 now and can't do any chores? That's a shame.

Let's be honest. Many people don't know how to do laundry. I didn't learn how to do laundry until I left for college.
I'm one of those people who only learned because I was leaving for uni and obviously had to learn LOL. It honestly just depends on the parents and the living situation. Like my family kinda had this deal where my mom did the laundry and the kids took care of dishes and helped out with dinner.

All these people commenting on how ridiculous it is for someone her age to not know how to do her own laundry.. There are so many things you have to consider here. First of all, you people live in a typical, average status family where you have no maids, both parents are working and therefore most of the time you're probably left alone in your house and hence you learn basic things like cooking, cleaning and all at an early age. They're millionaires for goodness sake. They probably have 10 maids working for them in each aspects of chores.. like someone doing the laundry, cleaning, folding, cooking and all. And don't say it's common sense that someone 'should' want to learn these things because if you'd have the type of lifestyle they have I doubt wanting to learn how to do all these basic household things is the last thing you thought of wanting to learn. You learn things when you're left with no choice.
I had maids growing up back in my country of origin and since moving to a western country, that was the time where I experienced washing dishes for the first time, doing laundry, cleaning and all. My parents kept forcing me to do them back home but I never did because I didn't see why I had to do it when we have people who do them for us.. it wasn't until it became a "must" and not an option that I learned to do them.

And you're right, they think other people will do it for them because they know they're capable of hiring people to do it for them. It may not sound not difficult for your to do these chores because you've done them yourself your whole life.. Well i'm sorry to say, but it could be hard for rich people to do it like Kylie. Although she might not realize it now or she may not think she needs to learn it but sooner or later she will have to. And she will find it hard at first but she will get used to it and everything will be easy. It's just like baking for the first time, you do everything wrong but the second time you do it, you'll know what to do.

Regardless of whether or not you have people do everything for you, if you're old enough to consider something as major as moving out and living on your own, you should be old enough to know how to handle simple things that follow your grand, life-changing decisions. She's 17. Regardless of her social status, she should've at least been taught these little things along the way. If mommy fails to do so, the first step would be to learn what you don't know THEN work your way up to getting your own place. They only thing that'll come outta this is her going through all this and learning the hard way. Pretty only gets you so far.

+Julie Hermoso I grew up with maids/au-pairs as well but my parents taught me to do these things anyway. Teaching me to respect the people working for us, humility and showing me how lucky I am to have the things I have, and that other people have to work really hard for them. That these things aren't free and money doesn't fall from the sky. I was around 6 when I first helped my Au-pair with the dishes by my mothers command. I offered to help the au-pairs I got later by myself, because I knew doing them wasn't fun. I also always cleaned my room by myself otherwise I didn't get my allowance.

People may be dissing her for not knowing how to do her own laundry and what not,but let's not forget that a lot of people her age still don't know how to do laundry. You wouldn't believe how many kids during their first year of college don't know how to do their own laundry, despite coming from different backgrounds.
Totally agree---lots of kids who aren't anywhere close to being as privileged as the Kardashians have also never done a lot of basic chores and other 'Independent Life 101' tasks for themselves by the time they reach 18... At least she has the additional excuse that she comes from a family that probably paid someone to take care of such chores and likely rarely had to operate a washing machine on their own... I can't imagine that their 'Momager' has washed a load of clothes for these kids since receiving that first check from E! years ago 😂... Not to even mention the fact that their aren't exactly tons of 18 year olds out there buying $X million dollar houses...
