Lovely build!! And here I am about to pull my hair out after watching endless hours of tuning videos and I can’t even figure out how to make my p01 ECM log correctly, let alone tune the dang thing.
@@GoatRopeGarage I think I screwed up some setting or something, im just gonna start from scratch and try again... Or sell everything and buy a Holley....lol
The coupler blow-off is a sign that you are missing at least one intercooler support bracket. There should be two vertical connecting to the exhaust manifold and one horizontal that connects to the intake. The horizontal is key to preventing the blow-off. SportMachines sells all three, or just make the horizontal one out of some flat stock...
Do you know I have a knock light it has a 0-5v signal wire can that be used and wired into a ms3, the ms3 has built in knock inputs anyway but I'd like to keep the light too as I'm not always using my laptop.
Small block Chevy engines ran 34-36° of timing because of the kidney bean cylinder head design. Whether they had 8.5:1 or 10.5:1 like the 92-97 LT1 V8. LS run less because they have a more efficient cylinder head design. And around the same compression as a Gen 2 SBC.
Very interesting insight into Megasquirt.
Nice video. looking to add some knock control to my subaru swapped beetle. This is gonna help alot.

Man, it's baby steps, don't try to bite off too much at once, focus on one thing at a time and it will come together!

Haha, there is a lot less to get wrong with a Holley, but the platform can be restrictive for people looking to do crazy things
Hey buddy! Do more in megasquirt!! I have my twin engine twin turbo mx3 on ms and need to learn more about knock sensing!

Got a Ram 1500 with etorq. Any idea how much tuning can be done or not for the torq management with that system in relation to non etorq systems???
I was curious why you chose the megasquirt in this application?

Mike that is a great example of how technology helps with burn rates
My knock Input is high at your levels what does that mean?
