    Good idea Jeff. I think that the left side of my Pit Boss is hotter than the right side. And it does help knowing where your hot spots is at. Have a wonderful week and keep your videos coming 👍🏽

      Yes, if your grill has a deflector shield that can open to sear, you likely have a hot spot above that area. Always good to know exactly how your grill performs!

    Great idea! Based upon air flow for most of the older pellet grills, wouldn’t you expect them to all behave similarly? That is, the hopper side less hot than the exit side.

      In general, it kinda depends on a few things, like the location of the firepot and design of heat sheilds/drip trays.
      Louisiana grills, Yoder and some others have their firepot on rhe left side. Pit Boss and Louisiana have a baffle on the drip tray that can open above the firepot to sear. This can make a hotspot (when closed) above that sear area.
      Some grills have the stack at the back vs the right side which can also affect the hot zones.
      I am always learning with all the different grills out there!
