best to check first,,,some transmissions are lubricated by engine oil pumped to the final drive bearing by an internal oil line or an oil groove in the transmission that doesnt turn if the engine and transmission are not turning and in gear. If this is true on your motorcycle, it wont lube the final drive...all im saying is just check with your dealer first before wishing you had,,,,regards to all,,,
Nice idea. No more camera phone videos! Also, instead of 3 full minutes of the bike hitched to the back of a truck can we see some detail on the hook up process? Is that a long bolt with a nut on it to secure, why 2 straps, where are the tie down spots? Do you include the straps if we buy?
bill45colt ...and a release handle,..."Bye Mom, we're staying at that nice Hotel, see you here in the morning,...grab the handle bars, there ya' go..."
+Brian Keith most tyre wear occurs during acceleration and braking. As the lead vehicle is handling the torque duties against its own tyres, the comparative wear on the bike is lower than usual. In other words it'll barely wear the tyres at all.
i have a similar hitch (thought not that exact one) i find that when i make a left turn no problem but when i make a right turn the bike tilts a lot. handle bars by close to 45 degree angle. do you find these same. is so any suggestions?
Job Kihara best way I saw to support the bike that way is to strap the handle bars to the front of the tow hitch so that it remains upright, P.S. I'm about to be creating my own for towing my sports bike with my mustang. It's a very simple design but very strong and light. Reduces the weight you put on your vehicle by alot!
Great for straight roads...have you tried it on windy roads?
