The Traction thing is the best change IMO F1 22 was just so frustrating, especially cause you spun out if just put a little bit to much power down and had no chance of saving it
Oh nice to hear that 22 is hard on a controller as that's what I've been using. Granted I'm on 60 AI lol Monaco is a killer though. I'm pants at that circuit.
I had to go down to 75 AI in F1 22 as it was just impossible to drive with a controller. In F1 23 I went back to 95 AI and I‘m still faring even better comparing to the AI than in F1 22. Chances are you can go up to like 80 AI now instead of 60.
no issues using controller (xbox) in F122 game. Expected to have those issues, especially in League racing battle with guys on wheel, but surprisingly I didn't. Can't wait to experience the difference in 23 game.
I play on controller and its a huge improvement on f1 22, but sequences of high-speed corners such as Sector 1 at COTA or at Saudi Arabia still feel understeery and hard to get right
I taking it seriously on f122 I stared casually in 17 but never serious hours but it helped me learn a lot of consistency being on controller because if I made a single mistake I was fucked
@@Zroskeiwell it’s bit frustrating when you see people having the same lap time as you when you look at their lap and it’s one mistake after another. On a controller turning tc off doesent make any sense for me atleast I come close to my pb without it but I’m not faster and the car is 10x worse then with tc so there is no point in turning it off on a controller which makes you from possibly could join esports to average
Haven't played on a wheel yet but ps5 controller is a bit frustrating. For the car to feel responsive at all I have to bump up rotation speed to 140. It's good on the 90 degree corners for sure but every little touch of the controller makes it move when I just want to move a little to the right or left. Then when I have a long corners I have to constantly press the joystick right right right right with little release each time so that the car can actually maintain the steady course. If I just press right it will just go off track. And I can't really just press 3/4 right on the ps5 controller, especially that it also moves forward. I would like to have it move only sideways and have a better feel to it so that I can actually feel I'm not going 100% in either direction. It's shit to be honest. Maybe it's calibration when I calibrate for better control then the car isn't responsive at all. On the wheel I would smash my records.
If you buy this before it comes out or the day it comes out you can't complain about anything. You know what's going to happen. Save us all the headache
I do both but I am a lil quicker on a wheel jus cause I’m able to go from outside to inside the turn lot smoother and take the turns with amount of turn I guess you could say on the controller if you have it setup where you can move right to left quick and get the feel like on the ps5 controller it’s all good
I've been using controller only in f122 and I'm in the top 1000 in nearly all wet version of a track and top 40 thousand in lap times dry, how do people slide all the time?????
I have a wheel so will probably use that, but always played f1 2021 on controller and was decently fast on that (with only 2 assists) so not sure what to choose for f1 23
Just me that found it easy on controler...? I did play with medium traction control but actualy quite liked the handling where u had to be careful on traction and i found it easy to catch slides... might be the odd one out but ill miss f1 22 a bit 😅. I didnt get too many glitches (other than my coop career with my friend... coop is the buggiest thing ive ever seen)

For me I just don’t want AI to be unbeatable after season 2 and last year I had to use significantly less difficulty cuz of the ai traction I use assists but that’s purely down to my laziness to learn to drive better on controller but I went from 100 AI to 90 for season 1 last year and it was still at times an effort
Yeah i was one of the faster people in my league on the controller. Finally folded and bought a Fanatec 2 weeks ago and won my first ever race the forst time i used it. Ill always have a soft spot for the controller thougg

On 22 medium traction but in f1 2021 I could do no traction. Good change I think.
Handling model is gonna be a lot better compared to F1 22. 👍🏻🎮🏎
I played because I have champions edition, and this felt more like a sim than an f1 game. Just so much more realism than even f1 2020!
