Thank you coach Counzo! I appreciate you and Matt Painter. Both are Boiler legends. Love you both and thank you for all you have done in coaching and at Purdue!
Coach Painter is one of the great ones! A great coach is about more than winning at all cost. Coach understands that and treats his players with respect - I appreciate that about him. Watched you play Mr. Martin! You were an awesome player!
Two class guys who know basketball but also know a thing or two about people, family, and how to honor the great old virtues of life and teach young men to do what the love the right way. Thanks, Zo, for bringing it back round; and a hell of a lot goes to Coach Paint for talking straight up about teams, talent, strategy, habits, teaching, and some honest reflection on a dozen themes connecting college basketball and a quality life. There’s lots to be learnt, here. Quality stuff, from quality guys, who deserve our thanks. Thank you, gentlemen.
Lifelong Purdue fan. Yes a loss hurts, but when you step back and look at the big picture, those losses are nearly meaningless. What you’re doing for these young men is bigger than a loss, bigger than a season, even bigger than a career. Proud that you’re our coach.
Class.....class.....class. Both of you personify what it means to be a Boilermaker. Watched you both play when I was a student and it was the best time of my life. Great interview gentlemen!
Love to coach painter. My favorite coach! This coming from an Anderson Indians fan! Keep going, your time and Purdue’s time is coming! Cheers to coach Martin! Another favorite of mine!
I am sure the “milkman” was Riggins Dairy. I grew up just North of there and still remember those Orange dairy trucks stopping at our house twice a week 😊

We need more conversation like this among coaches, because it shows the power of relationships, and personal experiences in the journey. Respect
An awesome pair - both are smart and genuine… A lot of fresh air…!!
