drs that involve themselves with these type of procedures I feel MUST be artistically inclined. I mean with experience comes better results but having an "eye" regarding proportions of the mouth and face, etc. counts for a lot!! one of the reasons I trusted the dr. that performed my nosejob was 'cause he was a painter, an artist. I feel bad for what you experienced, thank goodness it was temporary!! your lips are gorgeous btw......
I had a similar experience when I got lip filler for the first time. I went to a dermatologist because I thought that was more professional and safer than a med spa. The whole thing was rushed from the beginning, the derm assistant told me right before that I didn’t need it done (which made me feel bad for being there), and I had no idea what filler she used cause I was so nervous (I think it was juvederm). She told me as she was unboxing the filler that there would be no numbing cream cuz she doesn’t do numbing cream for lips. The pricks weren’t that bad, only a couple actually hurt. One prick almost made me pass out though. Immediately after I noticed 2 lumps above my lip. I thought it was swelling and it would go down but it never did. I went back a week later and showed her the lumps and she acted like she didn’t see them (even though my entire family noticed them). Now it’s been like 2 years and I still have a little filler in my lip and above my lip.
People need to know before getting this done that lip filler can migrate above your lip if your injector isn’t careful or skilled in injecting lips. Also, be mindful of the lip shape that you have and your expectations because it may not be possible to get the results you want. Another thing is that most people will tell you to go to a doctor, but I think a nurse practitioner would do a much better job since they inject all day long, and probably have a better technique.
The lady who does mine told me the first time that if I hate them she would dissolve them for free after two weeks.
I hate when these disgusting injectors gaslight you just to avoid taking responsibility for their messes!

I literally went through pretty much the same thing! And I had a huge white lump under my my lips you could see it this med spa did not care and refused to even see until 2 weeks ! I went somewhere else and the lady I went to was absolutely amazing. Even thought I could of gotten the dissolving for free at the other med spa I didn’t want that lady to ever touch me again ! Happy that I found someone so caring. And i definitely appreciate my lips that I was born with. I am happy you were you able to get them dissolved and your lips are fantastic!
Literally same thing here. I didn't want the sane lady to give me the free lip dissolve. She butchered me. I'm hoping 🙏 the dissolve works and I get my actually cupids bow back because w my smile, I don't even recognize myself. It's awful.

It’s supposed to be free or very cheap to dissolve. All clinics around me in my area charge 50$ to dissolve all filler/botox anywhere in the face. 350$ USD to dissolve is an absolute SCAM. You got scammed sis. I feel horrible for you!!!
That's true. But just wanted to say you cannot dissolve botox. Only filler. Botox gou just have to wait for it to fade.
I just got my lips done. I also didn't like how my lips looked the first week. It was hard and lumpy and crooked. I also thought mine looked like duck lips. Yours was worst though. That lady shouldn't have done a full syringe right off the bat especially if you have small lips.
The difference is that I was only injected 0.5 ml and I was injected more after a week was up to correct and even out my lips. It usually takes two (or three) sessions to correct the lips -- not uncommon.
For massaging the lumps.. some say do some say don't. I did but I did it after the 5th day. There was one lump in my bottom lip that was just hard and seemed to get more swollen so I started massaging it for like an hour and thank goodness it softened up and diminished after I did that.
After 2 weeks (after my second injection) my lips has gone down quite a bit. They've also gotten softer like pillowy to the touch. The ducky lips wasn't ducky anymore but my Cupid's bow did look more pronounced.
It's unfortunate you had to go to LA before two weeks was up. Most places will tell you to wait two weeks before deciding anything because that's when you really see how it looks and what needs to be corrected.
Exact same thing happened to me this week. I HATE my lips!! I wanna get them dissolved asap I dont feel like myself and I’m so embarrassed. The injector seemed just like yours too she refused to give me half and was like “oops I just did the full syringe “

But yeah I actually love the size they look like before I got fillers when i would wake up my lips would be plumpy and thats the look I wanted i guess first timers need to go bigger first

I got mine done, and mine looked like this until about a week and a half to two weeks, and then they looked VERY natural and have been great ever since. I had uneven swelling as well and bruising, and honestly just have to give it time to heal and the swelling to go down. My injector also gives 2 weeks until you dissolve or go back for any follow-up.

OMG!! What an informative video you gave. Everyone needs to watch this! And yes I agree your lips were very uneven after your treatment. They should look spot on when you leave not like yours did. I have been having filler fir the last two years and have never had this problem. People think half a syringe is a waste of time but it’s not. It’s all about baby steps sometimes. My injector in Australia 🇦🇺 offers 1/2 ml for too ups and from the start also. Thank you for sharing beautiful 💋

I got mine done. I wasn’t crazy about the fish liips at first while swollen but 2 weeks later I started to like them.

hyaluronidase is an enzyme, not an acid :) the plumping ingredient in most types of fillers is what is an acid (hyaluronic acid)

I can’t believe she wanted to charge you that much (or in general) to get them dissolved. SO unprofessional of her and she definitely should’ve verbally verified everything BEFORE she took out the needle. Watching this right now.... I’m not even a quarter of the way into the video BUT I can already tell you that it fully takes 2 weeks to heal! Sometimes there’s a numbing agent IN the filler as well as the topical numbing! This results in A LOT of swelling!! So, they usually go down SO much after the first few hours! Although, she seems like a person that only knows of the « original » technique. At most clinics, they do try to upsell their product too! Try to look for clinics that do the Russian, baby doll or Julie Horne technique!

So I just want to point out that, she probably didn’t want to keep replying to her DM’s because a lot of people do this and never make an appointment. What she should’ve done was schedule a consultation, and check out the reviews of the place. Not just blindly trust your friends. Look at what other people said. Another thing, NO ONE likes the results right after they do your lips. I remember when I got mine done and mine looked like duck lips for at least 2 days. The swelling went down after 2 days but there was still a bit of swelling up until 2 weeks. So for anyone getting filler, NO it’s not gonna look good right after the needle. They’re bloody, bruised and swollen. 30% of it is swelling so how is anyone gonna like it? Also, your friend was probably able to massage her lips because she’s had them before, they teach you how to massage it. Also, if you had waited the extra week, you could’ve gone back and they can actually move the filler around so you could’ve gotten it pushed lower on your lip so it wouldn’t be on the border. Overall, you went to a shady person. But you should’ve also read the consent form since you’re saying “Karen” told you it was in the consent form that she used Juvederm.
You’re lip are thinner than some, but in no way are they “small” .. you have actually beautiful lips and they fit your face perfectly and show off your beautiful smile the perfect amount! That being said, as for your fillers I agree your bottom lip looked good, but I would’ve felt the same exact way as you with the top lip results. It’s sucks when we get “Money Hungry Professionals” 🦋🦖🦕
its true tho, because it dissolves so fast half a syringe is nothing. after 3 weeks sometimes you can't even tell the difference. the size is not accurate immediately

Just got my first injection, full syringe as well. Got a bit scared the first day, I was getting serious Donald Duck vibes but second day in, the lips depuffed masssively!! The look is natural and I was told that the product I was injected with gives very natural results. Did you eventually find out what she used on you?
Most places DO not dissolve for free. It is a product that also costs. You get the injections at your own risk. Unless the injector hits an artery they will not dissolve it for free.

Hi, I know it’s been months since this happened but even if you signed those Consent forms and in those consent forms and informed you what she was going to use she should still have explain to you what she was going to do and you could still report her to the Better Business Bureau especially since your lips lips were cook it at no point when you were reading what you told her you never told her that your lips were uneven I think that something that you should definitely let her know. Any time something like this happens you report them immediately to the bed at the Better Business Bureau and she would’ve giving you back the money. If you can do if you can still.

This is awful. The first time I went, the practitioner put 0.25 in and let me look .... I ended up with 0.33 and it worked fine.

After 8-10 days they had disappeared. Now if it is now it looks, then you will need to go back and have them dissolved ...... Although, they will slowly disappear over 6-8 months.
Also, you are only on day 5 and mine was swollen for around a week. I would let it be for ten days then decide how you feel. Also, ask your Mum, sister, best friend ..... "What do you think?" .

I’m sorry but you lost me once you said “on day 3 they havnt decreased in size” 😂 uneven at a week is very normal. & the other injector that told you she put in “way too much” is just trying to win your future business. I think they actually would’ve looked really good if they had the time to settle which for first timers can be as long as 4 weeks. If she injected wayyyyy too much you would’ve had way more swelling and bruising cause your lips can only handle so much. But to each their own.

In Australia you can’t do 0.5ml, by law you have to use the whole syringe just for sanitary purposes.
Makes no sense why wouldn't you just use a half and then throw the rest away
@@ThaniaAbigail it’s for hygiene and safe medical practice and most plastic surgeons won’t cut the cost in half so if you are paying for the whole syringe you either have it all or you don’t get any. You can have it in different parts of your face but you can’t have just 0.5ml

She should have redone them/dissolved them for free after the week sure (because it was uneven) BUT she wasn't wrong in telling you to wait because the filler takes at least a week (if not more) to settle and for even lumps to dissipate.
